I don't care if your water heater is working- break it just so you can get these guys out to replace it with a new one! I found the from a personal recommendation from a coworker. Our 1994 gas tank water heater had started leaking and when I called, Ty was at our place within hours to give me a quote. He was so friendly, really confident about their work, and put me at ease. The work was all done in a day, and it was a huge project! I was set up with a brand new gas on-demand heater installed outside (so now no gas in the house- much safer!) I canNOT recommend them enough, friendly, invoiced as quoted, cleaned up a big mess of mine and delivered on their promises. Thanks again guys! read more

Ty was great from the start, called me almost immediately, we figured out when our schedules worked, and he let me know when he was a few minutes away. Ty and his employee were thorough, professional, and updated the pipes, earthquake straps, and drain pan with the new water heater. Ty was clean and checked back with me later in the day to ensure everything was working properly. Great professional experience with Ty The Water Heaters Guyz! Thanks again, Matt read more

The Water Heater Guyz - 50 gallon water heater. - Water Heater Installation/Repair Near Me

Came quick, did a great job and was cheaper than others. Very, very happy with their work on a holiday weekend.

This is hard to write because I really like the owner of Water Heater Guyz, Ty, but we had a rather difficult and expensive experience with him. I think I always leave positive reviews and gave Ty ample opportunity to correct his errors. I even suggested he sleep on it so he/we could come to a reasonable solution. I originally contracted with him to replace a failing tank-less water heater. He was quick, on-time and provided us with a reasonable quote. His install went ok and after a spray of water into the inside of the heater from what he called a faulty previous install, he dried everything and finished up. At one point I noticed that the exhaust vent was hanging at an angle and asked him if he needed to go in the attic to connect the pipe. He assured me he did not and that everything would be hooked up properly. I was relieved because we had just had insulation blown in and I did not want anybody back in the attic to flatten the insulation loft. Within a couple of months I began to experience errors with the heater requiring a hard reset. At first he told me to call the manufacturer and that problems like that were my responsibility. I was relieved when he visited and found insulation had dropped into the unit. He claimed that it was an improper seal of the exhaust flange in the ceiling, blaming the previous installer and suggested I fix it. I did. When it happened again he graciously came and cleaned more insulation out of the heater blower. All seemed well. Fast forward to recently when I had someone inspect the attic without going in the attic. He provided me with a photo of the disconnected exhaust vent from the water heater and suggested I call the person who installed the unit as it could be letting CO blow into our attic. When I called Ty he, again, blamed the previous installer of the preexisting vent. I suggested it was his responsibility to ensure all was hooked up properly and safe. He did not agree. After much back-and-forth, I suggested we sleep on it. Next day was no different. I talked him into sending one of his "installers" to fix it but it would cost me $200. The (really nice) young man came the next day and corrected the problem (for $200) and showed me a finished photo. Three different contractors I spoke with assured me it was the installers (Water Heater Guyz) responsibility to properly hook up the vent. The money doesn't bother me. Ty's inability to accept responsibility(or blame) and just fix it is where we part ways. At every point he tried to blame everyone but himself. Business owners should be willing to bend over backwards to make sure everything is done correctly The install was not done correctly even after I asked him about the vent and the disconnected vent was, most likely responsible for some of the insulation getting into the unit. I will not be calling him for any further work and will pay someone else if I need any more service. I like him and hope he does well but attitudes like this will eventually catch up with a business. read more

Contacted Water Heater Guyz to see about having them come out to take a look at our unit which is producing an error code. Without having even looked at the unit or getting anywhere near sufficient detail Ty already stared taking about replacing the unit. Talk about desperate upselling - at least take a look at the unit first before pulling that nonsense. read more

I found The Water Heater Guyz on Thumbtack and Ty reached out. I explained that my 14 yr old water heater started leaking and water was slowly covering the garage floor. It was 5pm at night and Ty offered to come out the same night, but wouldn't be able to arrive until around 8pm or 9pm due to another install job he was at. I was shocked because I figured it would have to wait. Since we have 2 kids in the house and school the next day, I didn't want to disrupt the kids schedule by them coming out at night. However, Ty walked me through how to release the pressure in the water heater to stop the leak and he could be out the next morning to repair/replace the unit. We decided, due to the age of the unit, that replacing it made more sense and he put a brand new heater in and it looks and works incredible! Ty was very well priced and also kept great communication before, during and after the job was done! I highly recommend hiring The Water Heater Guys for any of your water heater needs! Thank you Ty! read more

Call this honest, helpful team First!!! I had an issue that could be handled under warranty in 30 minutes with troubleshooting on the phone and thank goodness this company informed me to check the manufacturer first. They listened, understood and helped to solve my issue for free. There were several other companies who offered to show up and overcharge me unnecessarily. What a lifesaver and they may be some of the last remaining honest people left. You restored some of my faith in humanity. Thank you so much. I will recommend and use in future if needed. read more

We highly recommend The Water Heater Guyz. We have a twenty year old house and we wanted to replace our 75 gallon water heater. Ty took the time to educate me on the benefits of a tankless water heater plus he sent me the information on the actual tankless he would be installing. Ty encouraged me to look at the tankless on-line and to shop around. When installation day came, of course there were problems with my install. The old water heater piping didn't easily fit the new system; however, Ty and Martine just took the problems in stride and worked until they figured out how to get the tankless installed correctly. No shortcuts, no complaining, just hard work. It was a very long day for these two guys, but they were always delightful and they left the work area spotless. I highly recommend The Water Heater Guys. It's a good value, great product and fantastic workmanship. You couldn't invite two nicer guys into your home. read more

UPDATE: In my original review below I forgot to mention that Ty went out to the property to look at my old water heater and take measurements for replacement, etc. He did that at no charge to me. All of the other contractors kept asking me to take pictures, measurements, etc. even after I explained to them that I am 80 years old, wheel chair bound, legally blind and need a hot water heater for my rental property ten miles away from where I live. Ty had the job completely done while most contractors were still asking me for additional information. Getting the job done quickly is pretty important when people are trying to live in a home without hot water. I cannot say enough good about Ty and this company! ORIGINAL REVIEW Ty at The Water Heater Guyz gave me exceptional service from the first time I talked to him until the job was completed. He was especially good at accommodating my special needs. I am legally blind, so maneuvering around web sites and trying to read the invoice was difficult for me. He was very patient and helped me every step of the way. Also my property is tenant occupied so he had to deal with me regarding terms of the contract and payment, but he had to deal with the tenants regarding access to the property. Lastly, he was replacing a 54 year old water heater with rusted pipes and connector pieces that was not up to current code requirements. He cleaned up all of the mess and brought everything up to code at no extra charge. The price he quoted me was exactly what I paid. Everything was included in his price, which, by the way, was a thousand dollars less than most other estimates. His service was also exceptionally prompt. I called him late one afternoon and the job was completed early the next afternoon. read more

I have contacted the Water Heater Guyz three times for different issues involving rental property water heaters and each time I have come away unimpressed. The good yelp ratings are why I tried them first when faced with water heater problems but I honestly think they just want to sell high priced water heater installations and nothing more. Most recently, I called because the breaker to an electric water heater was popping. After less than a minute, and him learning it was 6 years old, he said it's probably just best to replace it. That's without even looking at it. The other water heater repair folks told me it could be a host of fixable issues, which it was (replaced heating element for $95, by handyman). Previously have received bids on tankless water heater installation and 40 gallon replacements, both close to $1,000 more than others. Nice enough on the phone and if I hadn't done research, would have never known, which is why I wanted to leave a review from my experiences. read more
