We had a leaking garbage disposal which evidently was not installed correctly by the previous home owner. The crown guys reinstalled and stopped the leak at a very fair price which they honored in spite of having to come back to replace a screw that was missing from the initial installation. It was NEW plumbing under the kitchen sink and connecting a garbage disposal. Five years later, the work failed in two places and I had two leaks. I have owned several homes over many decades and never had a leak, and especially did not expect one in new plumbing. I called Crown and they said, with no apologies whatsoever, that the work was guaranteed for a year, lol -- really? They were unwilling to offer me any kind of a discount to come and repair the work they did that failed, in my estimation, way too soon for plumbing. I will not hire them again. The condo I rent from my dear friend has a less popular hvac system, hydro something or another. It was leaking water onto the carpet around the filter/vent area. He checked it and said they have to order the part then quoted me 515 with the service fee total, he literally said the 515 total and if you decide to fix it will take the service fee off of the 515 so I paid the service fee and i greed on it so he said they will call me back and we will order the part tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and no one calls, so i called and they were like " oh we didn't order it, do you still want the service?" and raised the price from 515 which we agreed upon to 595?? I called because I thought I had leaks underneath the sinks, diagnostic is $97 which is fine. When the guy came out- Derek- he told me he needed to shut off the water but when he left he did not turn on the cold water only the hot one. Aren't you supposed to check that when you leave as part of your job? Also, there is a leak on top of the sink near the spout so why wasn't that checked? Derek also told me someone would reach out to me for a quote on changing my pipes and garbage disposal underneath the sink and nothing. What I'm saying is I would appreciate if your techs did a thorough job and not just walk in and do the bare minimum. I work in customer service myself and it can be difficult but that's PART OF THE JOB! While the diagnostic of $97 is reasonable I don't feel like the service I got was worth it. One star. read more

Last month we got a new stove, and Crown came to install the gas line. The worker was so thorough, he saw I needed a new shutoff valve, so he installed that. Last week we got new countertops, and that company removed the sink and stove, but did not reconnect the water or gas. Crown came same day and made sure everything was connected properly so we weren't without the kitchen even one day. This week we installed a new vanity/sink in my Father's bathroom, but the sink was leaky. Derek came and tightened all the fittings, then he went a step further. He said one of the nuts was plastic, and a metal one would make for a stronger seal. He picked up the part and finished the job. He also firmly tightened down the new faucet. He was on time, clean, polite, and skilled. This is the third time I've used Crown Plumbing, and they will continue to be my #1 when I need a plumber. read more

The spigot in the front of our house was leaking non-stop today. I called Crown Plumbing around 11:30 and they were able to give me a window same day between 12:00 and 3:00 pm. At 1:18 I had a text that someone would be over within 30 minutes and shortly thereafter Robert arrived to check out the problem. I had just had PG & E out to check that a gas leak had been repaired properly (it was) and turn the gas back on, but the PG & E tech wouldn't climb up a ladder to check that the furnace was on (it's in the attic). I asked Robert if he could take a look and make sure it was working and he did! He turned the furnace back on and checked on another sink I had in the house when I told him it was dripping. Robert was very knowledgeable and listened to all of my concerns, offered advice and presented options. Not once did I feel like he was trying to sell me something, and it was very refreshing to have a contractor give me unbiased opinions and help me make an informed decision about the best path forward. We now have a short list of items in order of importance that we can address and I feel way less stressed about how/when to take care of the things that need to be done in our home. Huge thank you to Robert for fixing the original problem super duper fast, taking the time to do a walk through of the home to make sure everything was in order, and setting us up with a path forward. We even have a cool idea for the wet bar that I don't think I'd have come up with if I hadn't chatted with Robert about the construction of the sink. Our kitchen sink/disposal/dishwasher has been unusable for 3 days; we rent, and our landlord is out of town, so trying to get someone out has been difficult. They even explained how much a service call would be, and asked if I wanted to continue. I did and they were over the next morning right on time. Don't do it. The "diagnostics fee" is a marketing ploy. They quoted $9000 to replace a small electric water heater (that was in the attic) which is insane. I had to contact them several times to get the quote too. Another plumber came out and did a great job for $3800. Once you commit to the diagnostics fee, they can charge you whatever they want. You are unlikely to shop around. I too am being bugged for the fee which I don't think is right. My recommendation - find a plumber that will give you a quote without a fee - like they used to do once upon a time. read more

Great service! Ayesha very helpful over the phone in booking my toilet install. John sent me a text before he arrived and was wearing a mask and shoe coverings, he was very professional. There was a little mixup with the two toilet brands that were offered, however, John wanted to make sure I received the one I requested; within an hour he was back with the correct toilet. Anytime John went to his truck he removed his foot coverings and made sure my little dog didn't run out. John also was able to quickly repair the leak under my sink. I had my new washing machine delivered today and lo and behold both faucets had leaks! There was water under the old washing machine I wasn't even aware of! I called Crown (person who answered the phone was great!) and they sent out Robert within about 30 minutes. Robert was wonderful and explained what he needed to do and the parts he needed to go get. He was back in a jiffy, and fixed the issue within a couple of hours. He also advised me that the electrical outlet by the washer/dryer did not have a GFI outlet which is a safety/fire concern. I'm so glad he pointed that out, and he said the company also does electrical work which I plan to do immediately. Thank you to Robert and Crown Plumbing for excellent service! I was referred to Crown Plumbing by Select Home Warranty when I had a bathtub leak that dripped down through my kitchen ceiling. They came out and cut two small holes in my kitchen ceiling to see the drain pipes. They assessed the damage and contacted Select Home Warranty but SHW would not pay for the repair because they said that the drain pipe was an accessory to the bath tub! So I got screwed by SHW! Then to top it off, Crown plumbing charged me $260 for the service call and to cut the two small holes in my kitchen ceiling. Even the Crown Plumbing employee found the price exorbitant! I called Crown Plumbing to negotiate the $200 but they wouldn't budge on their price. I'm a single mother of two and $200 is a lot of money to pay out for 2 holes in my ceiling that are still their. Crown's total estimate to repair the problem is $1400. I do not recommend Crown Plumbing! They have no compassion and are WAY OVERPRICED! read more

I called Crown Plumbing at 6:30PM on a Sunday evening because ALL our toilets were slow to flush and we were expecting special visitors from Ireland the next day. Visions of overflowing toilets and showers filled my mind. The receptionist told me to call 311 to see if it was a county problem first. This upset me because I thought it meant that they did not want my business. To my surprise when I called, Sacramento County sent an inspector within two hours. He confirmed that the problem was on their end and another team would arrive to fix it. We were not to use ANY water during that time. County sewer sewer service removed a big root about 18' from our street outlet and our situation was fixed by 10PM. The guy cane out a few weeks ago for a home warranty job on our water pressure. He found a sink leak and said we had to pay new service call. This is not correct. I verified with warranty company. He should have stayed and fixed or schedules to come back and he did not. Very bad service. Reply to reply, I verified with warranty company supervisor Ryan, that if he found something during his visit, which he did, he is to call warranty company and add issue on and immediate schedule another visit if absolutely necessary. And another service call payment is not needed. Because this plumber did not do that, I had to make numerous calls to Fidelity explaining issue finally getting a supervisor, and then I requested another company American Plumbing who was amazing and handed the job. According to Fidelity, your employees need to call the warranty company and not make these decisions themselves. read more

A few years ago my sink was clogged and Crown Plumbing were contracted with my home warranty. They sent out a really great guy and he ended up going above and beyond to help me save spending more money out of pocket. Recently, my toilet clogged and I needed some plumbing help. When I called, they were super helpful and sent someone out that day. The guy who came unclogged the toilet and actually ran to home depot when he realized he needed a different tool. Everything works now and their prices seem very reasonable as compared to the other companies I had called. I would definitely recommend them.
