My husband decided to try to fix one of the two sinks in our master bath and after two trips to Home Depot, a lot of curse words and a few soaking towels, told me he ended up breaking something else in the process. It was after normal business hours, I had already stayed home from work with my rambunctious soon to be 5 year old with a ear infection and I most certainly was not going to go without water for the night. After a few failed calls to businesses using the all powerful, "Google," I ran across Ace Plumbing Heating & Air. The gentleman who I spoke with by phone was polite, courteous and reassuring and let me know immediately the initial cost for the call of service, any additional time thereafter and a two hour window for response from my call which all was very reasonable. He did all of this before demanding any information from me (like previous businesses) and there was no stipulation of being a existing customer, which we are not but most likely will be now after this pleasant experience with Joe. Joe showed up at 8:00pm after getting off the phone at 6:55pm, a hour earlier than expected which was appreciated with a preschooler and two dogs on a weeknight. Prior to his arrival, I forced my son and husband to help me put things away and tidy up because lord knows who will show at this hour. Joe came up, was very friendly and introduced himself to my husband who was handling the situation and immediately got to work. I steered clear of the area as I know my rambunctious 5 year old was shadowing Joe's every move, asking any and all questions under the sun that Joe answered cool and collectively like a superhero would. I heard my husband and him chatting about their time in service which was nice as my husband is a workaholic and doesn't get nearly as much time with "the guys," as he should. After one trip back to his truck and back inside he relayed for us to give it a try and sure enough the problem was resolved in a blink of the eye. My husband thanked him and he relayed it was, "nice to get to know you guys," including my little one who stood by Daddy to say his goodbye. After he departed, this mama got to run a bath without any issues and my husband asked if my son liked Joe and he of course nodded and confidently said YES! The toilet in my main bathroom has been growing sluggish over the past few years and recently has been overflowing frequently. A plumber sent by my home maintenance warranty company was unable to determine the cause because he didn't have a camera to send through the pipes. I was allowed to call a second plumber, who said he had a camera when I spoke with him over the phone. He came, asked me some questions and performed few tests, but did not use a camera to make a proper diagnosis. He claimed that I needed a new toilet. He was also extremely busy and had to leave after a short time. He said he'd have to do the job another day. He turned out to be a flake. I emailed and texted him several times and he ended up not responding to my last few messages. I guess he didn't want the job. After a month of only having my master toilet for my family, I called Ace Plumbing. They were awesome. Ivan and Zeth performed several tests, and they sent a video camera through all of the pipes and determined that there were roots intruding into several areas of the sewage lines. Ivan was especially professional and assured me that I did NOT need a new toilet. Now, I know what the problem is and will happily work with Ivan to correct the problem, without wasting money on replacing the toilet! When returning after a ten day day vacation we had no hot water and could hear water running thru the pipes. I called Ace Plumbing the next morning and they had a Sr. Vice President inspect the problem. He contacted employees who specialized in the in this type of repairs and they were at our house within 2 hours to locate the hot water leak and mark a path along the floor of the bath room and into the master closet which had cabinets and shoe racks where the hot water line was located. Being in the Real Estate Development business, I watched how Ace Plumbing planned the repair with a number of employees who specialized in different aspects of the repair of the hot water line. Since it was in my wife's closet, they completely sealed all the clothes in the closet from dust etc. The path was from the garage to the work area and was not only covered to protect the floor but was coved in a special material that prevented the material from sliding. When the cabinets that had to be removed to repair the leak were in exact place before removal, the clothes in the master closet had no dust or dirt , the tile replaced and all floor protections removed, I can say it was as clean as I could never imaged and you had no idea the repair took place. But as important was the repair, the feeling of being at ease watching professionals at work made the job mentally easier on my wife knowing we were in good hands. Yesterday my A/C went out while temperatures were around 107 degrees outside. Needless to say it was a miserable day. I called a company I usually go with for my rental properties as well as my personal residence but they couldn't make it till Friday the 14th and it would be between 3pm-5pm on that day. With what appears to be another heat wave passing through and a severe one that just passed us a couple weeks ago, I just figured all A/C companies were busy and I'd have to wait. I started preparing myself for a miserable 6 days. A friend of mine on Facebook recommended ACE to me. Not thinking I'd get a better time, but having nothing to lose I called first thing this morning (Sunday around 8:30am). I received a dispatcher who seemed rushed on the phone but took my info and said he'd have a technician call me right back. About 10-15 minutes later I received a call where I explained my situation. To my surprise he asked if he could come today between 12pm-1pm. I told him he was my hero and I'd be waiting for him. About 12pm maybe even earlier Dennis with ACE PLUMBING & AIR CONDITIONING showed up. He glanced at my thermostat turned it on and went outside to my unit. As he was approaching it he said right away it was a capacitor issue. He opened the unit replaced the capacitor and BAM my A/C was working again. Thanks Dennis and thanks ACE for fixing my A/C. Our family is so happy to have our kitchen sink back. John W. & Daniel were our repairmen. They were very knowledgeable and skilled in their repairs, and worked with a very good attitude. They removed the clogged garbage disposer on the right side of the sink that had been unusable for years, and replaced it with a new garbage disposer. It's great to have the sink drain the way it is supposed to drain, (no longer requiring the waste water from the dishwasher to be "bailed out" into a dishpan and disposed of). They installed some new piping and strainer for the left side of the sink, which had leaked for months, (that required water to be collected into a dishpan below the sink and periodically disposed of). They "ran" a "snake" through the waste line, making sure it was not clogged. And they removed a reverse osmosis tank along with associated bottles. (We had not used the system in years). They still exhibited a good attitude even though John had to work under the sink on the collapsed cabinet floor that was water damaged. They replaced the 27-year-old leaky faucet with a new faucet. I said at the beginning: we are so happy to have our kitchen sink and garbage disposer usable again, and have everything work the way they are supposed to wark! Well, doesn't it always happen around 7:00 pm on Friday the heating & air decided to go off and on a bit and then quit completely. Have used ACE Plumbing for years. Decided to call them for H&A. Said they would be out within an hour. Not bad. Asked cost; appeared appropriate for what most companies charge in the evening. Aaron came out and first checked the attic unit. Blew fused multiple times and Aaron stated it was a short in one of the low voltage lines and needed to determine which one. Everything was normal in the attic. Went outside to the compressor. Immediately discovered exposed line; very common said Aaron. Said since raining, wet and dark would be back first thing in the morning around 8:00 am. Sure enough there he was the next day. Up and running within no time. He checked the attic unit and compressor for efficiency and total operation. Personable and friendly; just a great guy who does without hesitation discuss preventative measures to keep your AC working great and steady. Price was more than fair and reasonable. Heater blower intermittent issue, decided to become no longer intermittent, ugh - saving grace is it's not terribly cold right now..... So after reading reviews and NextDoor recommendations I gave ACE a call. First shock, great office hours (I didn't need to call as after-hours...even though I could have.). Second shock, they could come out SAME DAY. Whoaaa, really? I know that can't be an all the time thing based on demand, but what a fantastic surprise. Third, the Tech, Aaron called when on his way, since I was at home he even got there early! He listened to me go over the issue/details, and Aaron was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He would have fixed it right then, but the part (not one they usually carry day-to-day) was not with him. He said he would follow up with me early the next morning with price as well as time to install the new board. And he DID! He contacted me as promised, and set a time window. Called me again when on his way so I could call my Father to meet him at my house. I could not ask for a better transaction. I am extremely pleased with Ace and highly recommend them. Great Plumber Had a very unpleasant experience with another plumber this morning. Then I remembered Ace from when I was still working. I called Ace and was greeted by a very professional young lady who was more than willing to help me. I told her my experience and asked if she could help and she was more than ready to get my business and help me. I asked her to send someone out and give me a quote for what I thought to be minor, the plumber from the morning had quoted me $800.00 way out of line. Ace said they would have someone out between 1pm and 3pm, and Ivan Stapleton arrived shortly after 1pm as promised. Ivan looked at my job agreeing the $800 quote was very high, he then quoted a little over half of the original quote. I agreed to the price and asked when he could do the work. Ivan. said he could start right away and he did completing the job in about an hour and a half. Ace and Ivan gave me faith in honest business, did a great job at a very reasonable price. Could not be happier and will use when I need a plumber and will recommend them to anyone in need. Again Ivan was thoughtful to my needs as a retired senior citizen we need more like him. read more

First of all I want to say that I am so happy that I called Ace this morning and spoke with Poppy, as I want Ace to know that her customer service was outstanding. The reason for the call was to report that my toilets were backed up and they wouldn't flush. Being a Sacramento girl and knew of the Ace company but never needed to call them, I did call and Poppy told me that she would have someone out within 2 hours to check out the problem. I received a call from Parker and within 1 1/2 hour that they were on their way. Parker and his coworker Steve were on their way. When they arrived, I must say they were so professional and personable. They checked out the problem and fixed the backup of my toilets and bath tub.There aren't enough words to express-my feelings about customer service, and the professionalism of both Parker and Steve. Service quality with this company is like the good old days as my dad would have stated. I have been working with Ace Plumbing Heating and Air over 20 years. It started when we lived in Mather CA. Most of our neighbors used them, gave them a try never disappointed! One day, mid August, party for 50 and the AC dies, no clue what was wrong, called at 7am, all fixed within 3 hrs. Did I mention it was 108 degrees that day. Moved back to Carmichael 12 years later, Heating and Air Conditioning System was old, had both replaced. Estimates from other contractors in the $17K-$20. When in doubt, went back to the ones I trust, Ace Heating and Air. Their price substantially less and within a week, brand new system. I spent the next 5 years with a complete remodel. They were always by our side with plumbing which was substantial, all completed timely efficiently and friendly! One more bonus, ATT was at my house to fix broken wire, 2pm. The tech broke a sprinkler line. Called Ace immediately, they arrived before Tech was done, 20 minutes, paid for repair, chatted with Risk Manager, receipt submitted, repaid within a week! Saturday night around 10:00 our AC stopped working. When looking in the yellow pages Sunday Morning to decide who to call I remembered we had used Ace quite a while back for an AC issue and had been satisfied, so I called them about 7:30 am. The receptionist/dispatcher I spoke with was professional and did all the right things to make sure she had my contact information and address correct and that I knew how much it would cost for a technician to come evaluate our problem. She said a technician could come by between 9:00 and 10:30 and would call in advance to confirm his arrival time. The technician, Jeremy, called about 8:30 to confirm the problem and said he was on his way. He arrived right around 9:00, inspected the thermostat, and then went to the basement to check on the electrical connections for the AC unit. Within a few minutes he had determined that the electrical outlet for part of the AC unit had failed and was causing the problem. He used a different electrical outlet and the AC unit was up and running. Total time -- about 10 minutes. Great service all the way around and we will call Ace if we have similar problems in the future. read more

Had a showerhead leak whenever the tub was turned on. Bruce R came out and was persistent in finding the cause after a couple of basic changes were made that didn't resolve the problem. Even called Price Pfister's support and followed the tech's advice but that did not fix it. Ultimately had to go in through the wall, remove and reinstall some of the pipe which also revealed the prior work done by an independent handyman wasn't done properly (used a couple of "shark" connections"). Bruce helped unload a bookcase in order to get behind the wall and then cleaned things up when he was done. Prior to leaving he ran the water in the tub to ensure there was no leaking. Needless to say, should I need a plumber again, I will call a company that I know I can trust to do the job right the first time. I'll also be asking specifically for Bruce since he's the kind of person that actually has a work ethic and wasn't going to leave until he figured out and corrected the issue. The cost ($344) I thought was very reasonable for all the work and time that was spent. A big thanks to Bruce! read more

I originally called Ace Plumbing because of a clogged pipe. They came out within an hour, at night and on the weekend. I can't say the same for some other plumbers in the area. When Lupe arrived, he went right to work on the problem and my pipes were clear in 15 minutes. Since we did not have a clean out he had to run the snake through the vent on the roof, something Bonney Plumbing didn't even offer to do when they came out previously. It turned out I had root intrusion on my main sewer line so we set it up to replace the line. I also had them replace the water main since they were going to be digging anyway. (Our pipe was too messed up to go trenchless). Lupe and his crew did excellent work. Everything was explained throughout the process and they came in exactly on budget and on time. They even worked in the rain until it got too stormy to continue. Everyone I dealt with at Ace, from the people on the phone at the main office to Lupe and his crew were all very friendly and nice to work with. They have a customer for life now. I give ACE a 10-plus rating for coming out to fix my furnace issues!!! A real person answered the phone when I called and I was given an appointment right away (my schedule was accommodated). The operator discussed the cost of the visit upfront so there were no surprises when the repairman came to call. On service day, Dennis, my repairman, showed up promptly when he was supposed to and he even called to warn me first. He looked at my furnace and knew immediately what the problem was. He fixed it, and he gave me an educational tour of how my furnace works and what to do if the problem occurs again. I appreciated that he didn't try to bullshit me or upsell products and services. This comes after being exposed to poor customer service, misdiagnoses and rip-off techniques from other HVAC services, specifically Acacia and HEI, for the same problem. I have been using Ace Plumbing for over 5 years. I've always been very satisfied. They have cleaned out and eventially replaced my main sewer line, which included contacting the city and having the main connection replaced, by the city; replaced the plumbing in my laundry room, which was inadequate, and recently installed my garbage disposal. So the work they have done has been a variety of plumbing issues. I have been really happy with the results, professionalism and timeliness. I have a dog and they always call in advance so that I can make certain that she is locked up. I live in a home build in 1942, which means additional issues. Although the service is great, the reason I return is one particular plumber, Jesse. I would highly recommend them. A bit higher in price, but you really do get what you pay for. Had a major issue at my rental with the sewage backing up in the mainline. Bret from Ace came out and cleared the line and ran a camera through the main, found a major belly and hole in the main. The house is 60 years old and things are bound to break at some point. This was an emergency situation and needed to have this fixed ASAP. Bret quoted me for a trench less pipe install for the main, I might have been able to find a cheaper quote elsewhere, but Bret made sure to get the repair work started the very next day. He held to his word and the work started on time and was completed in a timely fashion without major inconvenience to my tenants. Bret and his crew where professional, courteous and accommodating to the emergency situation I was dealing with. The job passed the final inspection by the building inspector and the work was finished later that afternoon.
