The entrance hall, divided by the baked goods! Love the tree centre-piece/seating area.

Hidden in the book and cranny of westend, went to Delizique for a nice lunch after yoga! Had a vegetarian sausage roll (which came with pickles and salad) and the soup of the day! Both were splendid. And their cappuccino was pretty well done as well. Staff were friendly, nothing to complain there. The space is a bit small and crammed when crowded but regardless, it's a nice deli with good food and funky interior! Would definitely pop back in!

What a gem. A few Saturday's back, my parents and brother were in town and fancied lunch in the Partick area. Having raved about Cafezique, we originally tried to get in there but it was full. So we went into Delizique, warning they don't serve alcohol. My Mum fancied a glass of white, but had to go without. However, they do have a corkage charge. Immeditately on walking in, we all decided to have a cake, as well the cakes looked incredible! First was mains. We had a mix, my Dad had soup and the salmon croissant, as did my Mum, I had the quiche with salad and my brother the handmade pizza. The pizza looked incredible, chorizo and cheese of some description. My quiche was also great, but I loved the Iranian couscous. When ordering a quiche, you can choose which of the 3 salads of the day you want with it. The coffee here is also top notch. I had a huge slab of the chocolate fudge cake and loved it. My Mum had carrot cake, and Dad had shortbread. All empty plates. Judging by the business, it is a popular spot. Both to grab a fine piece and some sweet treats or to enjoy a leisurely lunch. The open kitchen is great if you like people watching. I did giggle slightly when the chef from Cafezique (2 doors down), popped in to take a tub of the homemade tomato sauce. I also love the tree in the middle with fairy lights, will be back in the darker winter afternoons to see it all lit up.

Delicious cakes, croissants and coffee as well as decoration of the local, but for me the price was so expensive 4£ for a cake and 2£ for croissant. I recommend the place to visit and eat in, but I think that would be places cheaper with same quality.

Beautiful hot scone, carrot cake and coffee!

Headed out this afternoon into the dreech, grey 'Glasgow Summer' pahahah!!!!! Summer what's that??!! Anyway it was deff a coffee and cake afternoon, and we soon stumbled on the beautiful sunny door of Delizique on Hyndland Road. I have been here and next door at cafezique many a time and I have no complaints. It's a beautiful space with an amazing fairy light lit tree right in the middle! We managed to get a window seat and settled in with some papers having pursued the cKe display. I was tempted by both the New York Cheesecake and/or carrot cake (surprise!!) u went with what I know - carrot it was!! I was NOT disappointed. A beautiful moist cake with the most sweet sublime cream cheese frosting. Hubby had a fruit scone which came hot and he loved it. We both had a cappuccino which was delicious!!! No mild caffeine here . Only negative was the cost, £4 for the cake is very expensive..good as it was! It's just such a nice place we can overlook the price We will deff return soon!!

    I would marry this pizza

Seriously good food here! Delizique has been around for a long time and it's a bit of a West End institution. It can be easy to forget how great places like this are when there are new eateries opening every week but it's great to redicover old favourites. Delizique is more like a cafe than their venue next door Cafezique which is a little confusing. You can get breakfast/brunch in both places but only Cafezique does dinner and there are some other differences to the menu. One is that Delizique serves freshly made sourdough pizza with an array of delicious toppings and this is what brought me to their door. I opted for the chorizo, mozzarella and basil topped pizza which came drizzled in olive oil and was out of this world delicious. At £9 I thought it was a little small but it was actually very filling especially after I followed it with a coffee and a custard tart. The tart was light and crispy and filled with sweet, creamy, slightly eggy custard. The cakes on display looked very tempting and I can definitely see myself going back soon for one of the brownies. The place itself is a little cramped and I find it weird that they've got these old plastic chairs that you'd usually see in a church hall AA meeting. I think they could do with a bit of a table and chair rethink. They do have a fantastic breakfast bar at the window though and best of all a tree growing right in the middle of the deli. The service is friendly, very polite and efficient. Overall, a great place for a high quality lunch to sit in or take away or a delicious cake and coffee break.

Whether you're after a wee snacky delicacy for a dinner starter (or dessert!), that essential but hard-to-find exotic ingredient that you simply must-have for a recipe, a designer beer or three, or even a quality malt whisky, Peckhams is the place that you're likely to find it. I usually visit here when my eye is caught by a fancy malt whisky in the window (cunningly displayed right beside their cash machine, the cads!), or when I'm seeking margaritas mix for what has become a Christmas cocktails tradition with us. The West End would be a poorer place without Peckhams. Long may they continue.

I love Peckhams. I'm probably there far too often. They pride themselves on being able to cater to your foodie needs all day long, with pastries and rolls in the morning, a wide range of lunch options and even their own range of freshly made ready meals for dinner. Then of course they have offers for coffee and cake, should you need anything else in between. As far as I'm concerned, this is what delis should be like. They would get five stars out of five too, but the service can be just a little bit on the slow side. I don't mean when they're struggling with the lunchtime rush because that's fair enough. I mean, it can take them a few minutes to realise that you haven't been served, and in serving you some things they can be very slow (don't bother getting butter on your roll in the morning, unless you've got plenty of time on your hands). It's easy to forgive them because they're friendly and helpful and because everything is delicious but if they were just a tiny bit more efficient Peckhams would be perfect.

From perogies (spelling?) to awesome sausages, tinned good and fresh fruit. I've been back, I'll be back again and would advise anyone who's in the area to pop in for a nosey. Although I'm not Polish, I've spent quite a lot of time there and am a big fan of the culture. As soon as you step through the doors of this deli - you feel a bit like you're actually in Warsaw, and not in the West End of Glasgow. Wood paneling and straw baskets make this place undeniably cute, and as well as shelves and shelves of canned and tinned goods (all in Polish - obviously) you'll also find fresh goods. This includes a meat counter to die for (what can I say? I'm a carnivore at heart) as well as a mini bakery and lots and lots of cheese. All these products are delicious - and also very reasonably priced. I also love the fact that they sell Polish newspapers and magazines here. This definitely adds to the sense that a trip into Polish Taste is like a mini-holiday to Eastern Europe!

On my visit I didn't know what the shop was called as there was no sign above the door, theirs is a pretty small place where there is a few seats on the shop floor and more seating upstairs. A few items weren't labelled and had to guess what everything was, l bought a latte & a raspberry muffin that ended up being a red currant muffin. There was a few customers that came in to buy the last remaining bread, I did notice that the labels where written in Polish and not English, maybe this was to help the girl at the counter who was learning the language it did cause confusion with the person that was buying the bread as they didn't know what bread it was. I felt here was a language barrier as the server had little English and a customer came in looking to buy two bottles of balsamic dressing, I could see at least 8 bottles on the shelf, she said that they had sold out, l pointed out the mistake. I had intended to have one bite on the walk home and oops, I ate the whole thing! My commute home will now be compromised by urges to pick up one of those decadent morsels! Course number two was the Stong Italian sandwich! Who doesn't like strong Italians? Anyway, I chose Salami for my meat and it came with Mozzarella and sunblush tomatoes! I was lucky to be there on a day they ran out of their 'normal bread', so I ended up with their 'special' Italian bread. I think it is normally an up charge; I have a feeling I will be paying for it in the future because it hit the spot! Although, I am curious what the standard bread may be? I had mine toasted and for the Strong Italian that was the way to go!
