I'd seen Cafezique mentioned a few times when people mentioned their favourite brunch spots so when the husband and I had a morning to ourselves (my son is allergic to eggs so brunch isn't his meal of choice) we headed out to try it. First know that parking isn't great around it right now because of reconstruction going on nearby--not their fault but just be prepared to look a bit for parking. I mistakenly thought it was in Hyndland but this part of Hyndland road is closer to Partick in my book. We came in and were asked to take a seat at the bar while we waited for a table but we weren't even there long enough to get a drinks order in as a table was cleared and ready for us very quickly. There were some many amazing looking options on the menu with lots of variations on Eggs Benedict but I decided to go for French Toast with Puddledub bacon and Maple Syrup and my husband went for the Big Breakfast. It was busy but our food didn't take overly long and our coffees were delivered promptly. My French Toast was made with home made bread (they have a deli/bakery next door) and my bacon came super crispy just as I'd ask. There wasn't a ton of maple syrup (the individual jug was maybe half full) so I dipped my toast into there rather than pouring to make it last longer. Husband's big breakfast looked amazing with fried eggs with super orange yolks and very high quality sausages and a home made tattie scone. We both scoffed as much as we could but with huge portions we were just short of making the clean plate club. At £21 for two coffees, two breakfast it wasn't cheap but the ingredients were so fresh and high quality and so well cooked I would whole-heartedly recommend it and come back again. Some of the other hyped brunch places in Glasgow use shop-bought mixes and don't even come close on quality. I wish we lived closer but Cafezique will be my new go to celebratory brunch place!

Yelp Glasgow's first brunch club outing went to Cafezique a couple of weekends ago. I was pretty excited as I'd never been here but wanted to try it for ages, and had heard good things. We were able to book a table and the guy on the phone was super friendly and helpful, even the second time I called to add more people on to the booking (such is the popularity of brunch club!). On the day there was 8 of us and they'd reserved us a table downstairs along the wall which was ready as soon as we showed up. The food menu is pretty decent with lots of options if you're veggie or just like to think about what to have. I couldn't resist the lure of the big breakfast though - for around £9.90 it came with two poached eggs, two sausages, potato scone, toast, beans, two rashers of bacon, tomato, mushroom and black pudding. I would normally go for eggs benedict, but that was around the £8 mark and for just an extra little bit of money there was all that meat! I couldn't resist. Cafezique gets super busy on the weekend, but thankfully that didn't affect the service as there was always staff members around to get more drinks etc while we waited for our food. I don't remember waiting long for the meals to arrive (quite a few of us went for the big breakfast option!) although there was such good chat so that was a bit distracting. I was pretty excited when it arrived, everything was in generous portions and there were two eggs. One was cooked to perfection, the other was a little over but I have struggled for years to get poachies right so I won't judge them too harshly for that. Everything on the plate was super tasty - even the black pudding, which I normally avoid. I had a nibble (peer pressure) and actually didn't mind it but I was totally stuffed by that point. I'd definitely pay here another visit for their breakfast, although I'm not sure I'd try anything else on the menu now I know how good the big breakfast is.

Loooove this place! I can't believe I only just came across it today because I've walked past it at least 50 times. My wonderful father said he'd take me for breakfast this morning, and when told to choose the place, I set my sights here. I'd heard good things about their breakfast, and so we headed over and were seated immediately upstairs by a lovely waitress (who happens to be brand new and hails from the Isle of Skye!). We ordered eggs benedict for myself and French toast with banana for my dad. The food order was taken swiftly and the food was brought out just as quick, and it was absolutely delicious! The eggs were maybe slightly overpoached but the hollandaise sauce and the BACON (oh wow the bacon) were both fantastic. I also had fever tree lemonade, which I'd never had before, and it is my new favourite lemonade ever. So fresh and tasty! My only qualm would be the pricing. At £8.50 for eggs benedict it's maybe a bit pricey to be going frequently, but I absolutely loved the feel of the place and the wee shelf of hundreds of cookbooks upstairs that I'll be back to flick through and steal some recipes!

Spoiled for choice in the West End, we took to Cafezique for Sunday Brunch at the weekend. As ever, we timed our arrival perfectly to coincide with the busiest part of the day, 1pm on a Sunday. We were offered a stool at the bar to wait and it only took 10 mins for a table to free up, enough time to have a glass of fresh orange and decide what to eat. We were seated upstairs, a small mezzanine area that was a little cramped but not too bad once we got seated. It was very warm though, with the air conditioning unit kicking on and off to give a few minutes of respite now and then. Eggs Benedict for me, Full Scottish for my partner, both of which arrived after a forgivable delay (they were full and the kitchen is tiny). I'd asked for my bacon to be crispy and the obliged, the eggs were poached perfectly, my only criticism was the single half of muffin it was served on. Not only was it not quite enough 'bread' to soak up the Hollandaise sauce and egg yolk, I'm not sure it was the freshest as it was a little tough to cut through. Still, the flat white was good, and the Full Scottish was demolished with some relish (I managed to sneak a bite or two, very tasty!). A lot of the produce is locally sourced, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through. The staff were a little on the quiet side with not much interaction but aside from that it was a very tasty brunch. The main downside is the size, it feels a little too crammed in to be comfortable. Aside from that I think we will be back sometime to try some more of the menu.

Despite our group having an AirBnB in the foodie heaven that is Finnieston, we ended up trekking over to Cafezique in Partick for a late brekkie on our first 'morning after the night before'. On approach, the street didn't really look as though it'd feature a stylish café for brunchers, but we found them on the corner of Hyndland St and White St looking inviting in the sunshine. We'd built up quite the appetite from our walk over so dived on the menus. It's a light, airy and relaxed space, with a mezzanine overlooking the main floor. We sat by the large windows at the front. It was busy, but not cramped. I ordered their Big Breakfast, all of which was delicious, the only comment being I found the black pudding to be a tad too crumbly - I'm by no means an expert, it was just tricky to get on to the fork. The poached eggs were done to perfection and the sausages were terrific. Recommended for a decent breakfast if you're in the area - they're only a 20 minute walk away from the Botanic Gardens if you're on your way there (which we were).

Brunch, brunch, brunch and this is a top brunch stop. Warning, it fills up fast. By 10.30 on a Sunday morning there was a queue. The tables are close together, but not overly so. As in the waiters had enough space to get past without ever having to ask us to move our seats. The upstairs is my kind of place, perfect for people watching and with fairy lights! For brunch I had eggs benedict with salmon, the hollandaise and poached eggs were both perfection. A really nice americano to accompany it! My only very slight niggle was that they don't have any syrups for lattes, but that's it. The service and food were both eggcellent :P

I've eaten breakfast in Cafezique twice over the last couple of months, having been impressed enough the first time to visit again. Both times have been mid-morning on a Saturday, and despite it being pretty busy, we've always managed to get a table. It is quite a small restaurant, seating and tables can feel a bit cramped. Both times we've been seated straight away and service has been prompt both times. The food itself - for breakfast - is very good, however it does feel slightly overpriced for what it is, which is my only gripe. The bread they use is amazing and the french toast here is a really good dish. The coffee is also excellent. Would definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch in the west of Glasgow, but don't expect it to be a cheaper option!

Delicious flavours and perfectly cooked eggs and Hollandaise.

This was my first time (though I've been meaning to come for a long time). It was very busy and we had to wait for a table, but I was expecting that and the wait wasn't long. We sat at the bar and had drinks whilst we looked at the menu. The seating is pretty tight and its a busy, buzzing place. I had Eggs Royale and my partner had Eggs Benedict. They tasted excellent with perfectly cooked eggs and hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately, the food was just lukewarm and cold pretty quickly, which was such a shame as it tasted so good. Another slight gripe, and I feel churlish for mentioning it, but I asked if the Orange juice was fresh and the waitress said yes. At £3 for a glass I felt that was ok for freshly squeezed juice. However, I soon realised it was from a carton. I also noticed that the glasses were packed with large ice cubes, meaning that there was probably less than 100ml of juice. I asked if I could have less juice but when it was brought it was, indeed, packed full of juice. So, I found that disappointing and overpriced for what it actually was. I'll definitely return, hopefully when it is a little quieter. The lunch menu sounded so appetising and they clearly cook fresh and use excellent, quality ingredients. The wine list is also good.

Hmm, guess it was just me having a bad day but I did not enjoy the visit to the Cafe. Easter Friday, middle of the afternoon, upstairs, what can go wrong with a BLT...well it was all T and when you cast the excess aside there wasn't much left. Disappointing. Companions were happy with their meals

Glaswegians, your cafes have definitely spoiled me and I can't find anything that compares to this in the U.S. When you walk in, you automatically get this cozy and warm feeling. Try to get a seat in the upstairs dining area, because this is where you will feel the most warmth. I also like sitting in the bar stools by the window because I like looking outside at the rain. If you find yourself waiting for a table, just take that time to browse the pastries, savory foods laid out, and even their selection of cookbooks. Their selection of cake and tarts change daily, but if they have leftovers one day then they serve the leftovers the next day until they are gone, but a lot of the time their pastries sell out on the first day. Bonus to this is that your pastries are definitely fresh! But the pastries still taste good even if they are a day old. Trust me. My go-to pastries were the Belgian Chocolate Cake or the vanilla custard tarts. This cake has hazelnuts inside of it and is served with raspberries, chocolate bits, dusted with sugar on top. If you love chocolate, this cake is the way to go. The vanilla custard tarts reminded me of home (because I would get Egg Tarts at Chinese bakeries and this vanilla custard tart tasted just like a egg tart) The only difference is that the tart at Kember & Jones had flaky layers of crust, which made the tart even better. My go-to drinks are hot chocolate or the Moroccan Fresh Mint Tea. The hot chocolate is served with foam and little chocolate bits on top. The Mint tea is served in a clear glass, but it comes hot (which was weird because I didn't think you would serve hot drinks in a glass) but I understood why because it has a bunch of mint leaves in it that changes the color of the drink to a light tan. It's cute and if you have a sore throat, it will make you feel better. Other things that I have tried and loved were the Warm Waffle (because it was served with syrup and fresh fruit), the French Lemonade (It was pink lemonade with a little bit of sourness), and the macarons (They make different ones each week. Try all of them because they go fast! I have to say during Christmas time their Christmas pudding one tastes pretty good, too.) Last thing to note is that the staff is very nice. I never really feel pushed to leave. They are polite and attentive.

Oh dear, I've clearly not been paying attention! What I do know is that they have a wee makeover recently and it's worked, because the signage caught my eye and I knew I needed to pop in to check it out. I visited for afternoon tea with Donald M but I'd just eaten, so I only fancied a tea rather than anything to eat. It's a lovely space - the colour scheme is amazing and gives it a pretty cool vibe, very sleek, modern and classy. There's a huge display case of fresh salad items where I assume they can whip you up whatever you fancy. There's bagels, panini, sweet treats and soup - your typical lunch offerings. I opted for a cup of tea - berry - and enjoyed it in the snug window seats which are a great idea. They're padded and cosy and great for people watching and chatting away. The staff on were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home and not rushing us when they were getting close to closing time. This is a great spot in Finnieston and would make for a great cafe to pop by for lunch when you don't fancy a sit down restaurant meal in one of the many restaurants along the strip. I'll be back for lunch very soon! Note: they take Swipii card.

I find it a shame that there is nothing different on the menu, as everywhere I go in the area I seem to see the same menu on offer, panini, jacket potato, and soup.
