My family and I heard that this was one of the best spots for breakfast in the city. We are vacationing in Glasgow and wanted to experience it to the fullest. We were told there was a forty-five minute wait, and complied happily. After the wait time they sat us in a room with glass windows and ceiling, and though I can appreciate the aesthetic, it was a hot day, so we asked to be seated in a different area as we saw an open table. Our host explained they had to save that table for "someone with a stroller". I love that they want to make sure their restaurants is open to all accommodations, but at this point the host had been snarky the entire time and we knew he was simply doing this to be a bit of a prick with a complex. That said, with high expectations for the food, we endured the heat. The servers, music, and decor was fantastic and it was a lovely atmosphere overall. Our server was fast and accommodating (much unlike the host sadly). As good as the coffee was, I can't say the same for the pancakes. They were dry and overdone, though I loved the presentation. My child ordered the french toast and thoroughly enjoyed it, so that's great, but her only complaint was that they overdid it with the fruit. The eggs were perfectly done, same with their grain and yogurt dish. The gelato was divine, but we paid the check early and ate it outside as the uncomfortable seating arrangement was beginning to be unbearable. The bathrooms were well kept however, which I can appreciate as someone with high standards for hygiene. Overall, the service was partly awful and partly wonderful. The vibe was authentic and indie feeling, and the food wasn't fantastic but I'd still recommend it. read more
