Meh.      So okay, I've been here about 4 times now.  Outside eating is nice when the weather is with you.  Inside it is DARK.  So dark I had to use the light on my phone to look at the menu.  TV's....umm yeah......sports.  Do we really need these at all?  It's not a sports bar so can we just keep the TV's in the bar only?  Otherwise the wait staff is very helpful and usually friendly which is a real plus.  The prices are calculated. For example, The Country Salad is a bowl of  salad...with chicken nuggets mixed into it. $17, burger plate for 15, wrap for 13.  Everything costs about the same no matter what it is.  Appetizer?  14, Sandwich 14, Salad maybe 16 or 17.  No matter what you order, they aready know how much they are making you spend per seat/per guest.  Want an entree?  Double the dish to 28-34.  You still get about the same amount of food.   SO... a nice hang out, nice outdoor area, you're going to spend a set amount no matter what you order.  Is it any good?  Meh.  It's OK..    Pro Tip:  Great staff...go with their sugestions  it will help you avoid the so-so dishes.  Watch out for when they're "pushing the meatloaf" though.  One more thing, anything they sell that is deep fried, avoid like the plague because it will show up dry and tasteless.  That's been our experience with fish and fries and chicken tenders. read more

The Avocado toast for $13 was terrible. There was a slice of toast with 2 pieces of thinly sliced tomatoes, you could barely taste them. There were 4 thinly whole sliced pieces of unripened avocado with some feta salt n pepper sprinkled on top. The avocado wasn't even mashed. A 6 year old would prepare it this way. read more

Had a small surprise party for my daughter who turned 13 a few weeks ago. We had a socially distant gathering with several small tables spaced 8 feet apart. We were so so happy with the result! The staff was great and attentive, food was delicious, and the manager, Moe, was unbelievable! Nice atmosphere. Comfortable seating away from the bar if that's your thing. Good service too. Parking in front but could be a little rough if the place is very crowded. Large menu that contains something or many things for everyone. We shared a bunch of appetizers; guacamole, nachos, boom boom shrimp, and wings. All were good. Considering it's not a steakhouse I still found my rib eye to be a quality piece of meat that also tasted good. We were a party of 6 and everyone had good things to say about their food. The place was recommended to us and the recommendation was spot on. I'm not in that area often but would definitely make a return trip. read more

Every time we go we are underwhelmed but I'm embarrassed that this penne vodka came from a restaurant in New Jersey. It was so sooo bad.

Nice atmosphere but a bit overpriced for the food. Food was a bit hit or miss. Beers ranged from 6-8 bucks or so and there was a good list. There are a lot of families with young kids here when we went here for a quick dinner sandwiched after my son's taekwondoe and before his swim lessons. Such is the life of a suburban parent! I had a brie burger which tasted pretty good seasoning and meat quality wise but it was a bit undercooked. I asked for medium and it was pretty pink throughout. I have an iron stomach and just ate it since I didn't have time to wait. The fries were the best part of the meal. Nice and crispy and filled with tasty potato unlike some places that serve up half empty sunken in fries. $15 is a bit high for a medium sized burger with fries though. The house salad was good too. Crispy and fresh, 12 bucks. French onion soup was a bit disappointing, at least compared to places that make it well such as Dunellen hotel. Not enough cheese here and it was quite a bit too salty. The flavor was good though. I could taste the beef stock and seasoning. I really could've used a beer. The atmosphere here is inviting and it seems like a nice place to grab a drink after work. I saw allagash white on the menu for $7 but unfortunately my kid's swim lesson was fast approaching. read more

I've never written a Yelp review, but had such a great experience at Delicious Heights I felt compelled to. My sisters and I had a 60th birthday party for our parents here and the entire restaurant staff (especially Bonnie and Connor) were extremely accommodating. They were very responsive to my (many!) emails, and helped alleviate my pre-party jitters! They let us set up decorations before the party, which was much appreciated. The private party menu is extremely reasonable, and the food was very good. Many of the partygoers commented on how good the food was! If you are looking to host a party (bridal shower, birthday party, baby shower, etc.), I cannot recommend Delicious Heights enough!! read more

Recently booked the private room (20-25 guests) for the Manor Brunch for my daughter's Communion. I am so happy that I booked! The food was raved about and it was the perfect setting for a little get together. Mike and Taylor were very accommodating and very attentive. The party room is near the bar, but given it was a Sunday afternoon, we weren't affected at all by any noise or crowds. I can't recommend the brunch enough! read more

The Caesar salad with chicken was hardly edible. The lettuce was old and the sliced chicken was dry to the point of being hard to chew.

Easy parking here at Delicious Heights & the food is usually good. Service can be a little slower than other similar places in the area. read more

We visited for lunch and the beer selection is good. I was undecided between the burger and the fried chicken so I asked the waitress and she advised the fried chicken so I tried it. She asked me if I wanted 1/2 of whole which I replied 1/2 is more than enough. When my entree came, it was more like a 1/4 of a chicken, 2 pieces of breast and a chicken wing. The green beans and the fries was good but the chicken was drier than sawdust. I was only able to eat the chicken wing and that was tasteless. They should change the name because delicious did not describe my experience! read more

This restaurant is very solid. Quality of the food is very good and the service and staff are hard to beat. The bartenders are awesome !!!!!

This was my first time at Delicious Heights and the meal was good! The buffalo cauliflower bites were the best thing I've ever tried in my life. The chicken sandwich wasn't bad, but it was just okay. On the menu, it said that the brownie would come warm, but it was cold. Overall this was a pretty good meal and I would like to come back again and try different things off the menu. read more

The service was good. Very crowded on a Saturday evening in January. Lively atmosphere. I had the panko crusted chocked with vodka sauce over linguini. The portion was huge, so good value there. The chicken was just ok. There were three pieces, one of which was kind of chewy and tough so that was somewhat disappointing. My daughter had the Korean bbq stir fry. It wasn't that good. There was not a lot of beef and the beef was gamey and the rice was too salty (according to my daughter). They have a huge menu. I've been here a few times before and the food was good. Very nice, upscale sports bar. I sat at the bar during a football game, but there were lots of other nice tables in quieter areas if you wanted a calm, sit down dinner. The lights are dimmed and the atmosphere is fancier than the usual sports bar! I came on a Sunday night, but they were running happy hour specials during the football game, which is a great idea. The draft beers were cheap and we ordered every appetizer from the happy hour menu. The Margherita pizza was great, but pretty small. Other than that, the portions were good and I enjoyed the buffalo wings and buffalo tenders. However, I got the loaded fries and they were disappointing - they came out cold, the cheese sauce was subpar, and there was no bacon on them. I am a fan of this place even but I can't give them 5 stars. As big of a menu selection that they have here there are a few items that have always tickled my fancy that they have gotten rid of. They have replaced the Panko Crusted Shrimp with a Coconut Panko Shrimp and on the Roasted Chicken platter they no longer have the brown rice as an option for those of us who prefer a whole grain option. Change is not always a good thing especially when it comes to restaurants. I just wish they would bring back the Peanut Chili Sauce. Now that I've vented let me share with you the good side. The restaurant has a setting is a nice, dark but classy vibe. This is a good first date spot if you are trying to impress someone off the cuff but not too pricey. The wait staff is more than helpful and attentive. I've never had a bad meal here and the portions are not small to say the least. My recommendations per my experiences are as follows: Garden Salad,Mini Empanadas, Meatloaf, Panko Crusted Chicken, Blackend Rib-Eye, Herb Roasted Chicken Wrap, Roasted Chicken. I've never had a bad appetizer here. Parking can be tricky at peak times, but I've never had to walk more than 2 minutes to my car. They have a large restaurant area, as well as a large bar and seating in the bar area. There is also outdoor seating during nice weather. They have a decent selection of speciality beers. Prices are a little on the high side, but the place is more upscale than similar places nearby, such as Chimney Rock. I've found the staff to be friendly, and if they are not overworked, they provide very good service. Apparently they also have locations in Bedminster and Basking Ridge, but I haven't had the chance to stop in those yet. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in. read more

People need to back off Dheights a little. This place is great for a few drinks and some quality food. I enjoy going here as well as almost everyone I know. The lightly battered chicken finger appetizer is massive in size and always delicious while I am sipping a ice cold beer on tap you cannot find anywhere else in NJ. Some people have negative things to say about the owners but I cannot comment on that. One thing I do know is that this place employs a TON of young locals who otherwise would be stranded without a job while in school or looking for a career shortly after graduating (yes even college) - that we should all be thankful for, instead of bitching about how service wasn't 5 star, its not a 5 star restaurant! Bottom line: The food is always enjoyable and the beer selection is great! I have recommended a beer or company and a week later it is on the shelf or in the tap - who else around here will do that? Also I cannot believe how many people comment on the name, honestly who gives a F!? PS. Havent tried or gone to the Bedminster location but am only hearing good things. read more

Always good food and service. I like the light up menus, the décor and general atmosphere. Food is always very good but I do think some items can be too pricey. Had the Ahi tuna salad and there wasn't a lunch option available like all the other salads, just the dinner price. The salad that came out sure looked like a lunch size but it was very delicious. The calamari is very good and they give you a large portion. The spinach dip was good but you're given about half a cup - for the price they charge you should get a crock full of the stuff. Came here for my girlfriends birthday and we were very satisfied. All the martinis and drinks were very well made, strong and yet drinkable and delicious. The ambience is nice, it's not super fancy but a step up from casual. This goes for the dinner section and the bar section. All the food was pretty tasty, especially the nachos for appetizer. We were a group of 6 and everybody had some and were satisfied. From a food standpoint, the ribs were fall off the bone delicious, however unfortunately one plate of ribs were cold while the other were burning hot. Don't let that stop you from getting the ribs though, they were great. The same can be said for the fried chicken and steak. Only piece of advice though is remember this place gets busy, the waiter mixed up how we wanted the steak cooked and burger cooked, but everything was taken care of quickly. Overall though still a fun experience and the minor issues didn't bother our table because we were all enjoying ourselves. A nice ambiance and friendly staff will make the little troubles go away quickly. My favorite part of the night were the dessert drinks. My gf didn't get a cake, instead she got a fancy chocolate martini (and it was her birthday!). The waiter was cool enough to put the candle in whip cream and she blew out the candle from the martini! This review is specifically for the Buffalo Wings. Breaded Fried Buffalo sauce - needs a lot of work Sauce has a sweet component to it. I'm not sure if they're adding it or it's coming from the sauce they are using for base but it certainly doesn't belong in there. Buffalo sauce should be hot sauce butter and white vinegar in some combination with Cayanne added to whatever level of heat you want. Have been to this location many times and always satisfied in both food and service. Unfortunately sat nite because of restrictions we decided to order take out. Very disappointed in what occurred. Told it would be ready in 20 minutes -more like 45. My husband ordered Buffalo chicken sandwich - he got a blt's with no chicken to be found. I feel that for 15.00 it definitely need the chicken. Since they were so busy I decided to follow up with my complaint the following day. Left a message for manager to return my call after I voiced the problem and I never got a call back.
