Clay rice pot ~ mince pork with salted fish
Jenny C.

Beware !!! This is the only place you can get clay pot rice done in their special secret way, perfectly crispy and toasty rice with that special fragrant (not burnt ) with minced pork and salty fish. This is a must get dish - you won't disappoint ~!!! (We always get it) We also ordered other delicious Monthly Special dishes like the sizzling pepper beef cube, you pour the gravy yourself and can hear the sizzling sound cooking right in front of you. The beef is tender and juicy along with the gravy, just hit the spot: The lobster noodles stood out as well because the lobster meat was fresh and tasty, the noodles always the match with the scallions and ginger stirred fry. The flavor you will not wanna stop after a few bites. The other dish was the fried spare ribs with the perfect seasoning that brings out every flavor in each bite. Of course, we also ordered the scrambled eggs with shrimp and the some veggies, a full course meal of 5 because we wanted to try everything! The serve was so attentive and friendly. He made our dinner very comfortable and relaxing experience, we all walked out with a full and happy stomach. The server also offered us togo drinks containers for our leftovers drunks, so nice of him! I love coming to DFC, it's closed by us and they made your dining experience so special you want to come again and again to try other food in the menu. Well, you got me hooked on, you will definitely see me back again soon! If I am making you drool, please don't hesitate to stop by DFC for your own experience ~!

I passed by this restaurant quite often since it opened for business a while ago, so I decided to try it for lunch. I waited for 10 minutes for shared table, and I don't mind. I like the overall ambiance and vibes here. This HK style restaurant has a big dining room. I saw 5 staffers working during lunch hours and service is okay and efficient. I ordered the special value combo which comes with the daily soup. It was not bad for $16. I picked the sizzling stir fry beef udon, it is quite good. The soup of the day is Chinese style homemade soup and it was delicious. Overall I will be back to try other dishes. They also have breakfast menu, Chinese style bbq food, and variety of chef specials entrees items. I believe this DFC owner is different from the one by Colima and Azusa ave, though they have exact same restaurant name.

Breakfast for two deal each with tea or coffee

Good deal for breakfast with many options under $15. You get a variety of Asian and a few Western breakfast combos. Hot tea or coffee is also included in the price. Food is served quick, made with good ingredients and prepped well. My steak was not overcooked, eggs over easy, crispy tater tots and a very nice sweet roll included. My mom's pig offal congee came with ground pork meatballs which was pretty tasty. One of my favorite item is the crispy Chinese donut with chewy inside texture, good w congee or sweetened condensed milk.

This is a very good and legit Hong Kong style cafe casual foods spot. Excellent customer service. Staffs are always checking in with you. Visa and Mastercards accepted. Very spacious inside. The outside doesn't look upgraded or appealing (more like an old Denny's or fast food retail building), but the interior is modern, organized, and very clean. Experienced operations. Menu had lots of good selections, so it may take a longer time to review your options. There were two large parking lots on each side of the old single story building. Plenty of spaces available. We had the regular cart noodle soup/3-items of choice (wonton, BBQ pork, curry fishball), and a $15.95 sizzling beef udon with black peppered sauce which comes with a good homemade daily soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. Generous portions. The wontons were especially fresh handmade good tasting. We were able to taste the caramelized onions in it too. Tasty and very good. Legit and authentic Hong Kong comfort foods. I added the grass jelly iced beverage and it wasn't overly sweet. Nice. They have good quality foods at this restaurant chain. No doubt. Although it did take a much longer time for my cart noodle soup to arrive, we were very satisfied with our first impression. It's definitely a convenient spot to revisit. Lots of potential. Staffs are experienced workers and hardworking individuals. This is worth revisiting in future.

Steamed rice rolls with house special sauce, egg tofu with mushrooms, hong hong style milk tea
Cindy T.

Overall, I enjoyed the items that I ordered here! I got the house special steamed rice rolls, egg tofu with mushrooms, and the Hong Kong style milk tea. My favorite was the egg tofu with mushrooms. It was so flavorful, and the tofu, mushrooms, and veggies were perfectly cooked! The green beans were nice and blistered and still had a good crunch to them which I really enjoyed. The egg tofu was silky on the inside, and the different mushrooms added such great texture. The steamed rice rolls were good, but not personally my taste. I prefer the dim sum style rice rolls, so I just didn't order what I thought I was going to get. The rice rolls were nice and chewy, and the sauce tasted like a mix of hoisin and sesame. For the Hong Kong milk tea, it was delicious! However, it is more on the tannin-y/bitter side so if you don't like that then the tea might not be for you. Overall, I would want to come back to try more items! The employees were also very friendly :)

Came here craving the salted fish and pork clay pot rice dish; however we were told they were out of.. that was a bit disappointing .. Instead we ordered a seafood crispy noodle dish, chicken wings, and char siu pork, duck, and pork belly dishes to satisfy our Asian food cravings. My boyfriend and I both agree that the noodles were the best, followed by the chicken wings, and lastly the meat dish. I wasn't impressed by the chewy texture of the char siu. Overall, service was good, portions were decent, and pricing was on par with the rate of inflation. We got takeaway and enjoyed our leftovers for dinner. Would come back still for canto comfort food cravings.

Ordered combo E with grilled rib eye as my protein choice. When the food arrived, the "steak" was paper thin compared to what was depicted in the picture on the menu. Overall very disappointing. The combo also came with eggs, tater tots, and a choice of bread where I got the pineapple bun. The bread was possibly the only decent food item that was part of the combo. Service was alright, but they did mess up my order twice. The restaurant was giving food court vibes and could use some improvements.

My neighbor and I swung by Delicious Food Corner in Diamond Bar for breakfast and decided to mix it up with one Chinese combo and one Western combo ($12.95 each, plus they come with hot drinks). We picked hot milk tea and a hot lemonade. We got the Pork & Preserved Egg Congee with Stir-Fried Udon. The congee was quite watery this time, though they were generous with the preserved egg, which tasted great. The udon was pretty typical, but the BBQ pork slices were on the drier side. Next time, I am definitely sticking to my favorite, the Home Style Stir-Fried Silver Pin Noodles, since it is way better. We both liked the Satay Beef Instant Noodle. While it does not totally compare to what you get in Hong Kong, it is actually a really decent version compared to most HK-style cafes around here. We also got the Pineapple Bun with Butter, but the bun was dry and they barely put any butter inside. Before heading out, we ordered two of the Grilled Chicken Steak with Fried Egg & Fried Potato combos to-go ($13.95 each, which includes a butter roll and a drink). The chicken steak was nice and tender. The fried potatoes were soft and mushy rather than crispy, but to be fair, I did not eat them until I got back home. Overall, it is a convenient breakfast spot with good portions, just a bit inconsistent depending on what you order.

the worlds fattiest, greasiest, most oily, HK style noodle ever. This was from just pouring the "broth" on the plate to show
Alvin H.

The sizzling beef udon is always delicious, 5/5 stars. It's a little bit oily but that is to be expected. However, we were extremely disappointed with the HK style noodle soup, which was the dish that we came for in the first place! Imagine the disappointment. It really just seemed like they added maybe an extra 4-5 spoonfuls of oil into our dish because it was a grease-fest. I thought my gf was being dramatic about it but I tried it myself, and literally had to soak my mouth with a napkin to get rid of the oil that layered my lips. See photos. When we brought this up to the male server, he said it was normal. I said that's weird but accepted it. He then saw me taking photos of my meal and then quickly came over and asked if I wanted a refill for my drink. Coincidence? Maybe. I brought it up again to the female server when I paid the bill, she was honest at least and said the dish isn't supposed to be that oily. If you're looking for actually delicious HK style noodles, I recommend going to KW Cafe on Colima. They have the exact same drinks, dishes (maybe even more), at the same price. The restaurant itself was pretty spacious and clean. Just what you'd expect from a typical Asian restaurant. I just can't get over how damn oily that soup was, that 1 sip I took literally went right my body as I write this review from their toilet.

My family loves coming here on weekends for their breakfast special. We typically get the preserved egg congee, xo sauce rice roll, and iced coffee milk tea combo The rice rolls are my favorite and have a great texture! Theyre super soft and chewy. The drinks also come with free refills which is always nice Great place for a casual hk breakfast

I had a pretty good first experience here. The atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and the staff were quite friendly. This is a standalone building with a good amount of seating inside. I had the curry brisket rice, and enjoyed the dish. Note that this place does not give you any appetizer like soup. I don't think I have been to a DLC that I didn't enjoy, I'm happy to see them expand towards the inland empire so that there can be more HK food in the area. Will probably stop by again sometime soon since it is so close to the office! Im sure they chose this location strategically! Until next time!

Stir-fried beef with string beans entree, and HK milk tea
Edna C.

LA baffles me. $20 can get you one cocktail at a ritzy bar, or a coffee and a pastry at a trendy cafe you found on IG, or a whole meal with leftovers at an HK cafe in the 626. Delicious Food Corner is a local staple, and I love how each location is different. The Diamond Bar store is a larger restaurant and solid as expected. The menu is endless pages of glossy colored photos and options, and it took me forever to decide on what to order. I went with the green beans and beef entree, and an iced HK milk tea on the side. ** The beans were perfectly flash-fried, and the dish overall had good "wok hey" ** Came with a large serving of fluffy jasmine rice, which as an ABC, I failed to finish ** Milk tea was average; the tea tasted a little watered down and it was more sweet than I expected despite requesting less sweet Total damage was only $24, and it could have easily lasted two meals although it was so good that I kept eating. The servers are friendly and give me auntie vibes. They are all very attentive, checked in with me frequently, and worked efficiently with their tablets to keep up with orders. Other notes: - Card accepted! - Space is clean and well-kept - Location is an excellent pit stop along the freeway - Bathrooms are clean and stalls are decorated with street art wallpaper

Went to DFC for a weeknight dinner. Restaurant was empty with only 1 or 2 tables occupied. Service was fast. Got the dinner special value (Scallion fish and Beef Kung Pao for $15.95 each), which came with soup and rice. The soup was less than appealing. Only 2 pieces of small cut-up carrots and a tiny shredded piece of meat at the bottom. It didn't look anything like the photo in the menu. The scallion fish & beef kung pao was decent. Overall, good comfort food but not worth coming back for.

At least we get to celebrate my mom's birthday early! This was our very first time here. I've been eyeing this place and noticed that their lunch menu is totally worth it - prices of their lunch specials and dim sum are EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE! LUNCH 7 DAYS A WEEK FROM 10:30am-3pm DIM SUM WEEKEND HOURS: 9:30am-3pm It was very crowded upon entering. Waited for around 15 minutes. This is authentic, Hong-Kong Style Chinese Food and Yum Cha. They will circle around and ask if you want any of their dim sum plates - customer service is super quick. We ordered the following: - 1 Har Gow (shrimp dumpling - 4 pieces) = $5.88 - 1 Siu Mai (pork dumpling - 4 pieces) = $5.88 - 1 Deep-Fried Meat Dumpling (3 pieces) = $5.88 - 1 BBQ Pork Rice Rolls = $6.88 - 1 Steamed BBQ Pork Bun = $5.88 - 1 Seafood Crispy Noodle = $13.75 - 1 Yang Chow Fried Rice = $12.75 - 1 Mongolian Beef (Lunch Special) = $11.75 - 1 Fish Fillet with Green Vegetable (Lunch Special) = $11.75 - 1 BBQ Pork (Lunch Special) = $13.75 SUBTOTAL = $94.15 My dad paid around $103. We left $20 cash tip on the table. Overall the wait time for all of our orders were minimal. It was super crowded on a hot, humid day but the air conditioning was pretty strong inside. It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Rowland Heights. This is an authentic Cantonese…read morerestaurant that serves traditional Cantonese style food. I think this restaurant is famous for their Lobsters but I never come here for that. My family is not a huge fan of Lobsters and I can't really afford that kind of Luxury. Most of the time I come here for the set meals. The second set meal has 1 soup and 3 dishes. We ordered the house special seafood soup, Clam with Basil Sauce, Sautéed Pea Sprout, and Kung Pao Chicken. With the set meal prices, each dish is less than $14. My wife likes the Peking Style Pork Chop so we got that too separately. Most restaurant charges $2-2.50 for a bowl of rice. This restaurant only charges $1 per person and gives you a giant pot of rice so you can have second or third if you are hungry. Traditional Cantonese restaurants usually have crappy service but the staffs here are very nice. They frequently change your plates and the food is served quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean. The best of all, the food quality is very good with good value. We like their Kung Pao chicken because the chicken is fried before stir fried and they made sure to use dark meat. I usually don't eat Pea Sprouts but this version is tender and garlicky. The Basil Clam meat is fat and each clam has sauce coating it. They are not cheap with the quantity of clams either. The dish is filled to the max. If you are looking for a traditional Cantonese food, this is the place. It is both affordable and tasty. Give them a shot.
