Can be easy to miss if youre not looking for it (especially in my case as they have scaffolding…read moreoutside right now). It has a very chic atmosphere when you first walk in. Sat at a high top by the bar and had a fairly light dinner. The Beef Tartare comes out with a cracked quail egg for you to pour into the meat yourself and the beef sat on top of sone sliced pear. It's a small appetizer but it tasted fresh and clean, the crispness of the pear matches well with the heaviness of the beef. The cured shrimp was delicious, I'm sad there was only 3 because I wanted 5 servings of it. The uni, roe, and soy shrimp practically melted in your mouth. The Uni Bimbimbap has rave reviews and I can see why. It was filling without being overly heavy and each bite had uni in it after mixing it up. If you're unsure about uni, this is definitely a great way to introduce yourself to it's flavor palette.

Vibes of the place are nice!! Food is standard Korean food, nothing extraordinary. Had a lot of…read moredrink options - Soy & garlic wings: 10/10, flavor is great, and wings were juicy - Sweet potato fries: 8/10, gigantic thick fries. Good but I prefer my fries thinner. Sauce was meh - Seafood rose tteokbokki: 8/10, super creamy, but wish there was more rice cake. Lots of seafood!! Bb.q Chicken's rose tteokbokki is better imo - Pork shank: 9/10, really tender and juicy meat that fell off the bone. Hella pricey tho (-1 point) - Kimchi fried rice w/ prime hanger steak: 6/10, just okay. Not a huge fan of the fried rice, the steak was good, medium rare - Espresso martini: 8/10, really strong lol

All of the food was amazing!! first time going here with friends and honestly this place blends…read moreAsian (Korean) and western cuisine's so much perfectly. The servers are all nice and its easy to have conversation in both the native tongue of korean and in english. The wait time isn't that long and the ambience is great with korean music. Recommendation: get the noodle fried rice, octopus tteouboki, galbi, or the tiger budae jigae. you won't regret it

Update: visited again and got the ramyun and bossam; while they were both good, they werent as…read morephenomenal as the hojok galbi and perilla oil noodles; i still liked it but im now lowering my rating just a tad bit because i do see room for improvements! Still, this restaurant remains super high on my list ramyun fried rice ($18) - the only time ill actually like bacon is when they make it like this! I like my bacons a bit more soft and chewy, which was how it was made in this dish - it was a blend of rice and ramyun but i didnt really see the value in adding the ramyun since they were very tiny bits that were softer than i liked - what i wished the dish could focus more on would be to have more ramyun flavor and seasoning mixed in the rice because it tasted more like regular spicy oil fried rice - i liked the dish and it's on the right track for that ramyun flavored fried rice but it's a bit faint right now and can use more kick soy glazed bossam ($36) - i was never too big on bossam because the ones ive had before were plain and dry, but this one is different - seasoning was just right, bringing out the pork's natural richness and fatty aroma without being overly marinated, too dry, or greasy - im a fan especially the pickled radish that came with it; it's my favorite meat pairing rather than a simple cabbage or kimchi salad - it also came with kimchi salad but it was too crunchy, hard, and dry for my liking rating: 4.6/5 - overall still one of my top korean restaurants in nyc because the perilla oil noodles and hojok galbi were just phenomenal; id say skip the ramyun but definitely order the perilla oil and hojok galbi - insanely fast service and welcoming; got our food minutes after ordering! Five senses has been around forever and is still a solid staple in k-town! Stopped by on a Friday…read moreevening around 8 and there was no line for two so we were seated quickly. They have a variety of the standard fare Korean options at reasonable prices. We tried the ddukbokki and bulgolgi dupbap which were both good. The portion sizes were on the bigger size and the ddukbokki were giant. I do wish the ddukbokki was a little less watery but overall tasted fine. The bulgolgi was pretty standard for what I'd expect. Overall a solid option in the area if you don't want to wait for a long queue outside of the other popular spots.

Crispy on the outside and packed with seafood inside. Beef Belly & Mala Cream Noodle Soup: Loved this one. Udon with tender beef and baby octopus... so good!!! Spicy Braised Pork Rib Stew: Rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The highlight for me was the raw marinated crab. I spotted it on the wall menu and immediately had to order it. It's rare to find in the city! And honestly, this was way better than BCD's. So flavorful. Only complaint... the banchan portions are small and not a lot of variety. Other than that, I really enjoyed my meal and I'd definitely recommend this spot.
