Couple of cons but still deserves 4+ stars Cons: prices above avg in ensenada Sweet baked goods are not very good. At all. Most of all, coffee / latte is frankly soso.... But: Tons of private secure parking Good coffee, latte etc. Very nice modern interior AC and great air circulation. Great in the summer Super fast solid internet Amazing sandwiches and fresh good bread Decent bar section

This place is great! Came here for after dinner drinks and breakfast and coffee the next morning. The decaf americano is fantastico.

So I'm a student near Deli loop. I come 5 days a week because is the only coffee shop close to my school. I'm not a big fan, but it's available this early. I've been ordering a Cortado for a few months, today was a normal day where I ordered a cortado again. The miss who was taking my ordered stared at me, and her work mate was next to her and in a rude way told me "We can't make you a cortado ANYMORE". I just stared at her and order a simple black coffee. Cortado is not in the menu, but since the first time I ordered, I asked if it was possible to make me a cortado and the barista said that there was no problem. And they just charged my like if I was ordering a Cappucino. So that's my story today.

We were greeted immediately and offered indoor or outdoor seating. We opted to eat outdoors. A tiny regret as smoking is allowed and people were smoking. But they soon left so not too much of a bother. We started by ordering drinks - they have a full bar. My husband ordered a double tequila & I ordered a Paloma. Not too strong or too weak, just perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Chamuyo Shrimp U10, and I ordered the Rib Eye Center Cut Steak- medium well. Both came with a side of the criolla salad. The food, ambiance, and service was great. There was also about 30 minutes of live music by a duo performing son jarocho. Not sure if that's the proper phrasing but it was a nice treat. I'm not sure if they are regular performers or they just happened to be there that day. Overall a great dining experience to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.

I didn't realize you needed a reservation to come here but Nathan who owns this beautiful property with his vintner wife opened up their table for the best tasting we ever had! Each pour was delicious and we also got their charcuterie board which is not on the Malva menu but you can request. Nathan was very descriptive of their wine and praised his wife on creating so many of their wines. He made it clear that this is a woman owned vineyard and he just helps out. This made us chuckle because we all are married and would love for our husbands to praise us like he did! The vineyard is very resourceful and does clean practices for winemaking making it shine in their wines. I ended up going home with their Julio wine. I can't wait to try it at home and you can be sure we'll be back!

One in particular loved to ask for head scratches by resting his head on your leg waiting for you to pet him. We got there right when they opened so service was a bit slow but that's understandable because they were still preparing for the rest of the day. Presentation was on point and made for a very fun meal. The horse mackerel rosette while not in an actual rosette was very good. Nice touch of citrus. Sea urchin flan was very umami and very filling. Gyozas were more like dumplings because they did not have any crispness to the bottom and the gyoza wrappers tasted like they were dried out in a fridge. Filling was an ox tail filling and worked wonderfully. The ramen broth however was just a bit too salty. I think if they made it into an aspic and put a bit of it with the filling it would have made for a better flavor explosion. Catch of the day was ok. The skin of the fish was kinda soggy but overall flavor was good. I think the crispness of the fish skin added with the shaving of jicama would have made it more of a standout dish. For the Pig dish, they used a suckling pig. My only complaint with the dish is they should have dried the skin out some more and made it crispier. Who isn't a fan of crispy pork skins from a suckling pig. The presentation of the desserts was the most amazing. The pumpkin is pretty much a lavender milk cereal inside and some sort of jelly and granola topped with a salted caramel ice cream. The carrot cake. This is the most delicious carrot cake I have ever eaten and the presentation itself was very fun. The carrot itself is a carrot puree that was candied and filled with a cream to look like an actual carrot.

We were the only diners there but it was a Thursday evening, so I suppose that was it. That said, felt lonely. The food...feel sad to say this but meh. We got the 5 course tasting menu. There was no printed menu of the dishes so pardon the simple descriptions; this is all I can remember. The first course was vegetables on a puree of white beans and fennel. EXCELLENT. 2) Fried rabbit on a mayonnaise sauce. OK, putting something fried in mayonnaise without any acid is just too rich on rich. 3) Fish in a puttanesca sauce. Now, I don't like puttanesca, so there's that, BUT my fish wasn't cooked properly. Not seared and rare in the middle, but just undercooked. 4) Chicken in a sauce I can't remember. SUPER juicy and perfectly cooked but the seasoning and sauce...big meh from me. 5) Oy. I really didn't like this one. Lemon verbena flan in a honey-like sauce with fresh cherries. The cherries were lovely but otherwise...sugar on sugar on sugar. Yikes. Don't make this again...ever. Start over. Overall, felt overpriced for the quality of the food. Would skip this one.

Not here. Upon arrival, we were the only ones there (it was the off season), but eventually the dining room filled up. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and seated next to the real fireplace. Very cozy atmosphere with a cabin-like feel. Here, you feel at home. The 5 course pre-fixe menu for about $2000 MXN/person is the only option. The menu changes daily based on fresh and local ingredients. They will make substitutions for allergies, but thankfully that never applies to me. Everything we had was delicious. There were really 6 courses, a pre-dessert before the dessert. Highly recommended. I would definitely go back. Reservation requires a deposit. Plenty of parking.
