Beautiful dining area! The Mexican mocha was fabulous. I had two and came back the next morning for another.

Banana chai

Banana chai and latte with a patio to enjoy. We ordered fruit and it was fresh with a generous portion. Service was good with clean and timely care.

What a place! Once you step through the door it's like you leave Ensenada and enter another country. The place is super clean and very well renovated. It kind of looks like a little shop you would find in San Francisco. When it came to the food and coffee both were very fresh and tasty. I absolutely love the French toast I had. The cappuccino was also nice and light. I didn't even have to add sugar. It was well balanced and not bitter. I did go back a few days later and the coffee and meal I chose were not up to what I expected or had the first day. In addition they didn't have the chocolate to make the mocha Mexicano which I wanted to try, hence the 4 stars, but I highly recommend you make this one of your stops if you come visit Ensenada.

Good breakfast. Great job with ambiance and location. They have nice patio seating and seating inside. Parking can be a little tough.

A ten minute stroll from the downtown cruise ship crowds flooding into Starbucks, this charming…read morecafe (housed in a, well, casa antigua -constructed 1888) sits nearly empty. There`s a shady flagstone porch, but I recommend soaking up the atmosphere of the diningroom. Old photos of Ensenada line the walls, yesteryear knickknacks sit on a profusion of small shelfs, and everywhere you look there`s another teapot. The high-ceilinged space is almost entirely wood; paneled walls are painted a creamy white with dusty blue trim, and the floor is made of dark hardwood planks. To my eye, it feels more old American West than old Mexico. Presentation is a strength here. A hot ruby-red guayaba tea comes out in a thick clear glass mug showcasing it`s stunning color. The mug is topped with a metal infuser filled with the fragrant herbs and dried fruits, allowing patrons to decide for themselves whether they want a long or short steep. Iced coffee is served in a quart canning jar with a handle -- cute! Frappucinos arrive in what looks like a small old-fashioned milk jug, fun until you actually try to drink it: the semi-solid slush has a hard time getting through the jug`s narrow neck. Desserts here are something of a gamble. A small round of cheesecake is exquistely rich; the individual apple pie merely big and bland. Still, you should come. Casa Antigua offers a historically interesting and tranquil haven just steps away from the madness of the tourist strip. Five
