A bit expensive for this area, close to American prices. They do have good food, both Mexican and American. Their chai tea lattes are GREAT. The restaurant is clean and nicely decoy. A very pleasant place to be. The service is pretty great. The staff normally speak Spanish and English, so it is easy to visit as an American that doesn't speak very good Spanish. read more

One of the few places on our way to La Bufadora for breakfast, reasonable reviews so we gave it a shot. As we drove up, there's a sign on a tent - that wasn't reassuring. Thought that was the place, luckily, it wasn't. A little further was a little building that looked like it was out of a Western movie. We stepped in to find a super cool and trendy Cafe and Restaurant. They seated us quickly and we checked out the menu. We ordered a Iced Latte, Hot Chai, Milk on the Rocks (for our kiddo), Chilaquiles, Shrimp Quesadilla, and an egg with fresh fruit. I'll spare the details - it was all great. Portions were reasonable. Drinks were made perfectly and strong. The chilaquiles were delicious and particularly spicy ! Quesadilla with Shrimp was perfectly seafood-y and our kiddos food was spot on. WATCH OUT!! Horrible service, employees have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They gave me the incorrect to go order, and they didn't even acknowledge my arrival to pick up my order, and waited 15 minutes for anyone to greet me and recognized I was there. They ignored my questions and requests, and by the time my food was ready to go, it was already cold. In summary, I arrived home with cold food that wasn't even the right order. read more

We decided to try this coffee place on a whim, because one of my travel buddies was missing his coffee. Man, this place is awesome! Great coffee...great ambiance! The decor is a bit manly. 5 out of 5, woke up around 10am on our second day in Ensenada not knowing many places to try and came across them from yelp so we decided to give it a try. First time here and they were really genuinely nice from start to finish. The food was great for what it was and the service was excellent, it was just the perfect amount to get you full which is even greater. The background music and vibes were relaxing, I can honestly genuinely say our experience here was excellent and that the drive was definitely worth it. BEST COFFEE IN BAJA! My friends and I were visiting on a trip and were looking for a great place for food, coffee & some WiFi. We found Candys and after a little navigating we came across the most amazing place! The staff is super sweet and cordial. They offer amazing service and even better coffee. They love to have people stay and chat, so make sure you have plenty of time to hang out and make new friends. I have come here over the last few days and every day is such an awesome experience. The owner is an older guy who is so sweet and loves to get to know everyone! Come here for great family time, great food and great coffee! Also, I'm not sure when they'll fix it but they open at 9AM NOT 7AM! The owner said he's working on fixing it and they close at 8PM! read more

Worst service I've ever gotten! It was 9am, place was empty, no customers, about 5 employees in the dine in hanging around and chitchatting. As I walked in one of them sees me but ignored me and kept chatting with her co- worker. Since she was the only one who seemed to have noticed me I walked up to her to place my order because clearly they were to entertained to offer a table or menu . I kindly placed my order and asked her if I could have it to go. It was 2 chicken breast croissants and 2 lattes for my mom and I and an orange juice for my daughter. She told me the order would be ready in 10 mins and kept talking with the other crew. 20 mins went by and I asked if the food was ready she looked at me with shock and ran to the kitchen. I could not hear what she told the cooks but I could see what was going on in the kitchen. They obviously did not get my order because she had to read them the paper and helped them get it out. This is a new favorite breakfast/lunch restaurant in south Ensenada. Off the beaten path, but easy to get to. Very affordable. Adorable. The gals that work there are the best. Coffees are amazing - love the little heart they drew in the foam. They have all the usual breakfast items an everything is well prepared. They also have oatmeal (avena) and yogurt dishes, which are important to me. If you are heading to La Bufadora you'll pass it on your way to the turn off. read more

Really good food. Nice atmosphere. I like the music they were playing. It was a cold morning and we sat near the wood-burning oven. I had red "chilakillers" (chilaquiles) with chicken and two eggs. They were very tasty. I appreciate that every part of the meal was well seasoned. My wife had the junior waffles, they had bacon and sausage in the waffle. I was visiting family for the weekend. They are good friends of the owners so we decided to stop by. I love the decor of the café. I especially loved the sliding barn doors. Very cool vibe and music playing. The employees and owner were super friendly and gracious hosts. I tried a macchiato, a latte, and several of their pastries (brownie and banana/walnut bread). All very delicious and tasty! Nice outdoor seating/lounge areas both upstairs and downstairs. I didn't get a chance to try any lunch/entree items but definitely will the next time I stop by.
