I have had a few little mishaps with sandwiches that were ordered from here. We made an online order for two large sandwiches: one tuna avocado sprouts, and a tuna. The tuna had all the right things on it, but had sourdough bread on it when white was asked for. The turkey avocado sprouts sandwich was one of the worst presentations of a sandwich I've ever seen. The works was asked for, but it had no avocado, sprouts, tomatoes, wax peppers, or pickles. This was an absolute joke and unfortunately a waste of money. So it's probably my own fault for actually going through with paying $15 for a sandwich to begin with. But a long time ago when Deli Delicious opened it was the spot for good sandwiches. Easily has gone down hill since then. The picture attached was supposed to be a BBQ chicken sandwich with literally 5 ingredients. Yet only four made it onto the sandwich. What bothers me the most is how they charge so much for a sandwich and up charge for bacon and I get a slice of bacon and 2 oz of chicken. For the record two of the same sandwiches were purchased and my wife's had significantly more chicken. It's an easy decision not to go back when this is what I got. If the owner of this place is content with serving it so be it. Maybe this review won't go anywhere. But it'll definitely remind me not to bother. The large fries is now about as much as a McDonalds medium... it used to be enough to be shared between 2 adults. Not sure if I just got a one time order mess up or if this place is going downhill...my sandwich was made with welted lettuce and the bread tasted bland like it had been left out overnight (I got the French bread which doesn't taste bland normally) and my "sweet potato" fries were replaced by regular fries which were soggy and cold. Even the beer battered fries were unseasoned which is strange. I made my order for pick up and picked it up within 15 minutes after ordering it so this seemed to be strange and expected if I waited maybe an hour before picking it up. This is NOT the place to go for an amazing deli sandwich. The veg was not fresh and the bread was stale. We had to wait for our sandwiches for quite some time too. The price was not worth what we got. I ordered a bacon, avocado, turkey sandwich and was lucky to get half a sliver of avocado. I did, however ask them to hold the onion (they did not) and I picked it off as quickly as possible. My sandwich was still redolent of red onion and tasted very strong too. I got what I didn't want, and didn't get what I wanted. What a let down. I hate to say this, but I'd prefer Subway over this place. We ordered like usual, the lady at the front was very nice and patient with us as most of my family (3) had a hard time deciding right away. As we leave to go back to our hotel we grab our order she says receipt is in the bag. We get back to our hotel and check to see if they gave my salad a fork. We look in the bag and there is no salad. My dad goes back to the place and they requested to see the receipt so he texts me and ask me to send him a pic as the receipt should be in the bag. I go to the bag. No receipt. I made an online order which was missing some extra things I put in the comments (understandable). I politely asked for my items, extra onions and wax peppers were given to me but I was still missing arugula. First time leaving a negative review but definitely not my first bad experience in food service but I feel there's a few issues needing to be addressed. Long story short my sandwich was made with Mayo 3 times after I explicitly said no Mayo. I'm understanding of mistakes, but the 3rd time she brought it out to me with attitude. The main issue which prompted this review however is that I also ordered fries, and she handed me back the original now cold fries and I'm pretty sure it's a health code violation to hand be back old food that doesn't meet freshness and temperature standards. This particular Deli Delicious is great if you're ordering at the counter and getting your food right away (which you're probably doing most of the time). For that I would give them 4 stars, no problem. But twice I have called in a larger order of a platter of sandwiches for an event at our church, and both times the order wasn't ready, and both times when I called to see where it was they had no record of having taken the order. On the second occasion, I even made a follow up phone call the day before to make sure it was going to be ready. They said yes, but the next day... nothing. Two chances is enough; I won't use them for events anymore. If you're dining in or ordering to-go, great, but I don't recommend them for catering/events. read more
