Tri tip sandwich with cheese, jalapeno, lettuce
    Vincent S.

I finally had a moment to try the tri tip sandwich. It was good. Not amazing, but the portion and sauce options made the experience. I'm full! The service was quick and simple. The ladies working today were professional and very informative of their menu and the jerky that they sell. The beans are really good. Like a chili based bean mix. Not too thick, not too watery. The flavor was savory. Ambiance is an old building. It's clean, but it needs some love. I do see the efforts to wipe everything down and make sure it's clean in there. For what it is, it's a great place to switch up the lunch vibe down here. I'm definitely coming back to see what else is good on this menu.

I went to Ravens deli today and had a very good lunch. We ordered the pit Turkey sandwich with everything but salsa and jalapeño and one beef tamale. The Turkey was perfect and was still moist. The bread was nice and soft. Overall, a great simple sandwich. The tamale was good. The beef had nice flavor and the tamale was not too dry. I will be back to try their pit beef and Turkey and maybe a burger.

Delicious, generously-sized sandwiches. The roll is soft and the meat has that subtle, smoky "pit" flavor. It's not a deli in the sense that they have cold cuts and cheeses, etc. They do a few sandwiches all in the pit style, but they are bomb! They also make a wide variety of jerky, but I can't comment on that since I didn't get any of that.

The worker was very kind and easy to talk to. I wanted to get something to go with lunch. She had no problem recommending and said the Portuguese beans are popular. I ordered that along with a a bread roll. The restaurant is safe and clean and practiced. Lunchtime! The beans were really good! Lots of flavor! The roll was large. Fresh and tasty! I had half. Leftovers too! Good service and restaurant! Recommended!

I know I've rated this place 5 stars before and I'm not going to knock them down because in the end, the food is still delicious but they did me dirty on Friday and am going to assume it was an honest mistake. I had head that they had beef tamales here and have been itching for beef tamales since the season started. I figured what better place than ravens! I came here Friday on my way home from work. I asked the girl if they had beef tamales which she said yes, but only 10 and she could complete my dozen with either two pork, chicken or cheese. I told her the pork would be fine. Come home happy as a clam with my dozen fresh hot tamales and when I go to eat them she had given me two pork and the rest chicken. I was so mad, but I think the fact that I was hungry and it had been a long hard day at work saved them from me going back to right the injustice. The pork were amazing! Had that ravens seasoning taste. The chicken, well were chicken. Good taste and appeared to be mostly white meat, but still....chicken. I cook enough chicken at home. I don't need to go out and buy it in my tamales. Unless I'm getting orange chicken, going to chick-Fil-a or Popeyes, keep your chicken! Moral of the story, make sure you get what you pay for.

    How much it cost?

I am very disappointed in the deli. I waited 15 min for two pounds of fresh meat and they still gave me the reminder of the last batch. Don't think I'll go back. So very sad

Sorry... couldn't wait to try my sandwich. Lol

Prices have gotten out of control. 50 plus dollars for a 1lbs bag of beef jerky is simply too much.

Absolutely the best Tri-tip sandwiches around. Plus, I can order on Grub Hub and my order is hot and ready when I arrive.

Hi I was inform that Raven roast an entire whole hog? Let me if that's true. I'm interest in purchasing an entire roast hog. Thank u

They have and can. You should call them and ask. They are a old style smoke house left from the days of feed lots in the area.

I've been gone for nearly a year and just came back to Hanford. Looking forward to having a great meal from them today, I ordered two Barbacoa tacos ("Barbacoa" refers to both a Mexican cooking method and the meat itself) with a large order of rice and beans, as I like to have leftovers. What I received were the tiniest tacos I've ever seen, the meat was tasteless, and there were large chunks of fat in them (see photos). These tacos were $2.00 apiece!!!! I used to love their rice and beans, but now the beans just tasted like they were cooked in water with no spices at all. Tasteless mush. And the rice was tasteless also. It was orange like it normally is, but when I got home to eat it it was also tasteless. What happened??? I'm pretty sure these are the same women cooking who have always been there. They've never been friendly, they rarely make eye contact with customers, and I'm told they don't speak English. I am absolutely not racist, but it's frustrating when people move to the United States and get jobs here and never bother to learn our language even when they're working in a job where they have to deal with the public. There are free classes in learning English at several places in this city. To be fair, these women work behind the deli counter and they have set it up in this place where there is a kiosk where you input your order and then go to the front counter and pay for it, and your order is automatically sent to them in the back, and they make it. Once it's placed in a bag they walk to the side of the deli entrance and look around to see who's trying to see if it's their order, show them their copy of the receipt and hand it to them when they see the customers receipt. No smile, no speaking, no "thank you." I also dealt with a manager at one point because I was trying to get something out of their refrigerated cases and they were stuck and I couldn't get one out. The manager or owner was in the store doing something that was obviously "managery" so walked over to him and asked him if he could help me. He stood there and looked at me and just waited for me to speak, no smile, no greeting. When I told him what I needed, he came over and helped me, handed me the bottle, and walked away. It's obvious by their tense posture, facial expressions and other body language when he was walking around the store near them, that the people working the counter are intimidated and/ or afraid of him. Horrible experience. Never going back there.
