Practically everything could improve regarding the deli. I used to eat here really often and have written glowing reviews for it in the past. I've been gone for nearly a year and just came back to Hanford. Looking forward to having a great meal from them today, I ordered two Barbacoa tacos ("Barbacoa" refers to both a Mexican cooking method and the meat itself) with a large order of rice and beans, as I like to have leftovers. What I received were the tiniest tacos I've ever seen, the meat was tasteless, and there were large chunks of fat in them (see photos). These tacos were $2.00 apiece!!!! I used to love their rice and beans, but now the beans just tasted like they were cooked in water with no spices at all. Tasteless mush. And the rice was tasteless also. It was orange like it normally is, but when I got home to eat it it was also tasteless. What happened??? I'm pretty sure these are the same women cooking who have always been there. They've never been friendly, they rarely make eye contact with customers, and I'm told they don't speak English. I am absolutely not racist, but it's frustrating when people move to the United States and get jobs here and never bother to learn our language even when they're working in a job where they have to deal with the public. There are free classes in learning English at several places in this city. To be fair, these women work behind the deli counter and they have set it up in this place where there is a kiosk where you input your order and then go to the front counter and pay for it, and your order is automatically sent to them in the back, and they make it. Once it's placed in a bag they walk to the side of the deli entrance and look around to see who's trying to see if it's their order, show them their copy of the receipt and hand it to them when they see the customers receipt. No smile, no speaking, no "thank you." I also dealt with a manager at one point because I was trying to get something out of their refrigerated cases and they were stuck and I couldn't get one out. The manager or owner was in the store doing something that was obviously "managery" so walked over to him and asked him if he could help me. He stood there and looked at me and just waited for me to speak, no smile, no greeting. When I told him what I needed, he came over and helped me, handed me the bottle, and walked away. It's obvious by their tense posture, facial expressions and other body language when he was walking around the store near them, that the people working the counter are intimidated and/ or afraid of him. I really want to gate keep this place but I won't. this is a regular breakfast stop for us for softball tournaments. Best breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos ever, huge, flavorful and completely worth the drive. Totally blows everyone else out of the water including spending $10 on a tiny, bland concession stand burrito. make this your spot too! read more

Worst car wash DO NOT waste your money. I went in and told them, so he came out and said it looks clean to me, other than the bugs on the front. That should be an indication that it is NOT clean. Go elsewhere! read more

Walked over here this morning after months and months of seeing it complete but nothing until about a week ago. Have to admit, I was surprised at how much stuff they had inside. This new chevron has all your typical gas station essentials. Plenty of snacks, drinks, coffee and restrooms. As an added bonus they have a section where you can not only get yummy breakfast burritos, but also dinner plates as they call them. You can get tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and other typical meals. Most other gas stations around here only offer breakfast items so I'll have to swing by one day and fetch myself a dinner place. Overall I was impressed and happy with this new additions. It's even nicer that it's walking distance from my domicile. Good breakfast burritos and great service too. read more

Been coming here for years. But the attitude of certain employees and wait times when you're just ordering for yourself and larger orders made after yours are coming and going, on numerous occasions, does put a bad taste in your mouth. read more

Was coming in here for a while to pick up stuff near the house but the attitude of the male staff worker has me going to food co and spending my money there now. Customer service and a good attitude will keep Customers coming back but the young man behind the register should shave better customer service while at work.. good luck read more

What type of point of sale system can't ring up lottery and other items together. The clerks have to ring up lottery different and most of the time I don't see them ring it at all. The clerk gets confused and has to keep recounting the money. Today she had to recount 3-4 times. Get your system set up right read more

The chevron is pretty and really big, but unfortunately with breakfast they are very slow. With the breakfast orders they skip ahead and mix orders so you end up waiting 20-25 min just for an order. My personal experience they were giving out other orders before mine. I understand it's new but from my experience that is my rating. read more

Refused to sell tobacco products even with a valid ID and very rude customer service. Food is also very greasy and not fresh

I walk in to buy a can of Copenhagen. I walk up to the counter and see a young lady who works there telling the young man working the register that she's going on break. The young man says okay and turns to me and waits. I ask if I could have a can of Copenhagen, expiration in November, preferably. I've been chewing Copenhagen since 1980. The gal decides oh no I'm not going on break instead she intervenes to ask me, "are you buying the whole roll?" No, just the can. Well we're not going to open a roll of November unless you buy the whole roll (5 cans in a enclosed in plastic roll). I said I'm 61 years old and this is the first time in my life a store hasn't bent over backwards to give me fresh in order to make money and consummate the sale. "Well, if you don't like it you can go somewhere else." I said you just lost a customer and it would benefit you if you learned some customer service skills. This gal was hell bent on the war path, and had it out for me to the extent of forfeiting her own break. Why am I so special? That she had to go out of her way to spit in my corn flakes, so to speak, and ruin the nice day I was having? read more

Never go here or to the Chevron on 10th and Fargo. The owner is shady and a total scammer. I was in a hurry and accidentally detached the hose from the gas pump. This hose is reattachable, it was not damaged, and even says "REATTACHABLE" on it. I informed the staff that the hose had become detached. The owner's wife immediately called her husband (Ajmer Nahal). Over speaker phone, Nahal wanted to charge me $400 for the hose to be reattached. I offered to: 1.) reattach the hose myself or 2.) to arrange for the hose to be reattached and cover the cost. Once Nahal realized I wouldn't be shook down for $400, the "repair cost" suddenly became $200 and it became clear that I was simply being extorted. Nahal's wife then demanded my driver's license and vehicle registration. I gave her my driver's license which she took pictures of. The Nahals now had my information and I needed to be somewhere. I requested the contact information, of who the Nahal's would normally call, to reattach a pump's hose. Ajmer Nahal then arrived and refused to provide the contact information of the "repair" person (because they would not make a profit from that scenario). Ajmer Nahal then threatened to call the police if I didn't pay him $200. Because I needed to be somewhere, I gave in to this blackmail and paid $200. Nahal also owns the Chevron station on 10th and Fargo Avenues. Both stations should be boycotted. read more
