I checked for Circle K and 7-Eleven and they were in other towns. That was inconvenient. My buddy had been there a year earlier and remembered a filling station close to the skate park. When we arrived, I wondered how good this would be. The name sounded somewhat familiar. Maybe, there is one in Sanger or Bakersfield? In any case, it was well-organized and clean. I got what might be considered a fat taquito, sometimes called a tornado and my buddy got a corn dog and a soda. The soda was at a reasonable price, but $1.99 for each of the deli items seemed a bit expensive, considering that they would be roller food elsewhere. There was a $0.50 check-in discount, which the cashier wasn't sure how to process but he handled it anyway, with a slight delay. Later, my buddy was getting a stomach ache, so perhaps, the corn dogs weren't as healthy as I would think--the chicken/pork kinds of hot dogs tend to need better, more precise cooking than beef hot dogs, naturally. Had heard good things for years. The place is busy the staff is friendly. I got the large breakfast burrito and chose the meat and fillings. I was disappointed, the tortilla was large but cold, thus inedible. So I opened the burrito and found the sausage cold and the rest of the food barely heated. Used to be real slices of bacon and now this???) the potatoes weren't cooked still hard and cold even after she microwaved it and then charge me 7.00 bucks for this train wreck?? So we just happened to be on that side of town this morning and thought, "LETS DO THIS!!!" The misses got the biscuits and gravy "2 piece" and I got the breakfast burrito of course! Got the two meat that came with eggs "scrambled", cheese, potatoes and salsa. You get your choice of meat of course, hell! You can even add meat and other items to your biscuits and gravy if you want! I love Jack's already! So I asked for linguica and hot links in my ultimate burrito, got sausage and hot links instead, no fret it was my first time ordering so I probably did it wrong. Still damn good! Just asked the misses how her biscuits and gravy we're. She says "disgusting" because she doesn't want me to have any! She really means it's INCREDIBLE!!! Jack's is allways busy but the ladies that work there let me tell you they are allways rude and everything is over priced once i got something and paid for it but when i got home they hade leaft it out they probably did that on purpose its happend many times i don't eat there any more but people should know that its an overpriced food joint and not that great by the way. read more

After having a brisket from here at a relatives, I ordered one for a birthday party that I was hosting. I ordered it for 4 pm pickup, and it was being taken out of the smoker when I arrived. It was packed in a disposable foil pan, then in an "ice chest" that kept it warm for 2 hours. The brisket was tender, lightly smoky, and delicious. Best I've ever had. Love this place. Ribs are my go to here. They are usually beef and reasonably priced. There is homemade bbq which is fantastic. Clearly an establishment that doesn't care about the health or well-being of their clientele. Clearly doesn't care about the well-being of their own employees. The food was decent...but the service and cleanliness of the restaurant cannot be over shadowed by decent BBQ. Please reevaluate your business and have some forethought. Jacks has always been my hometown favorite for breakfast burritos, this morning was no different until I received my tri tip burrito. I couldn't wait to take a bite, I couldn't even do that because it was coming apart at the top and eggs were falling out. I decided to wait until I got home to eat it but when I took it out of the bag it was dripping wet and soggy and to top it off the potatoes weren't cooked all the way and the eggs had no flavor. My favorites are the Stuffed Baked Potatoes, the Chili Verde burittos and the salads they make fresh and plus the Spaghetti. It's great to know that a lot of things are homemade. I've had tri-tip from other more formal restaurants (Bravo Farms for example) and Jacks smoked tri-tip is still better and better priced! They are a family favorite and we had them cater my wedding this past May-it was a big hit among all those who came and they were please to hear it was a local place! I first tried Jacks a few years ago for lunch with a co worker who was a regular customer already. Wow, I was blown away by the variety available of in house smoked meats as well as their many other offerings. I remember wishing I had known of Jacks deli sooner. Jack is obviously very serious about smoking meats to perfection and works hard to achieve the best offerings around. In fact their ribs are my personal favorite that I have tried anywhere including Memphis and Nashville bbq joints! They also have big delicious made to order breakfast burritos in the morning. If you don't fall in Love with Jack's Barbecue, I am sorry your taste buds must be dead. ;) I have been fueling up my vehicles and feeding my stomach (and spirit) at "Jack's" since the day he opened. And I have become a die hard Tri-Tip Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, Tuesday Spaghetti and Mac N' Cheese fan. Oh, YES and the ribs are the best west of the Atlantic. So the first choice to cater my oldest daughters wedding reception would be and was Jack's. He and his amazing team fed and shared smiles with almost 300 guests. With the guests being from just about everywhere in North America. We had friends and family from Mexico and Canada. From all over California, The Rocky Mountains, New England and yes Florida. Simple folks like myself and world wide corp executives. It has now been two months since the reception and I am still getting unsolicited complements, raves and almost, if this wouldn't offend anyone, Witness's of how great all of his food and service was. I even have a cousin / corp executive that said he will be contacting Jack's team to take care of their next event at their winery. In other words " Jack's Food and Barbecue is of the worlds finest quality and down home friendly". I have dined at the Nob Hill Room in San Francisco to some of the finest restaurants in NYC, The Rockies, Mid West and else where. And it is clear to me that Jack's Git N' Go Food & Fair are the finest I have had anywhere. And if I go a week with eating at Jack's I must be ill or out of town.
