Marlene was working solo during our visit and did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly. She was friendly, efficient, and the restaurant was spotless despite being a one-person show. We tried several sandwiches, including the Turkey Avocado & Sprouts, which was delicious. I ordered mine without mayo, and the combination of cream cheese, avocado, and sprouts was fresh and flavorful. We also had both the Cold Pastrami and Hot Pastrami. While both were good, I preferred the Hot Pastrami, and they certainly don't skimp on the meat--the portion was generous! We also tried the Salami Avocado & Sprouts and the Chicken & Bacon, and both were excellent. Everything tasted fresh, the ingredients were high quality, and the sandwiches were made with care. If you're looking for a great, fresh sandwich and friendly service, I highly recommend Deli Delicious. We'll definitely be back. read more

I stopped by after getting back from the airport and I wanted to grab my favorite vegetarian sandwich but Visalia Toyota said that I should try the beer battered fries along with it this time. I agreed. Wow the employee was right, they fries were just the right temperature, served quickly and surprisingly I felt like they knew me. The price was cheap, compared to going to a fast food place which I didn't want to go. 6 months ago I had nothing bad to say about this location! The sandwiches were always consistent, the fries were delicious! No complaints! But my last time here; things have changed. This store really needs more staff. Felt bad for them for getting hit and only having two people to run the store. But.. having said that, it also doesn't change how the experience went. Note: if you place a delivery order and they're behind, you can't go and pick up your food instead. They will leave your food to sit there until the driver gets there. Meaning your food will get cold. We placed an order and it said it would take about 20min, 20 min turned to over an hour! So we finally decided to go down there and see what was going on, unfortunately they couldn't give us our food because we placed it through a delivery service and the driver had to come get it. By the time we actually got our food, we had gone to another place to eat and got home with "fresh" food. We were not very happy about that! It's going to be a while before we decide to come back here. Just hope Deli D helps their staff and hires more people. read more

Ok! In an from out of town and was looking for a place to get some quick deli sandwiches for a few High school boys that were in town for a football tournament. The place was empty an a Saturday 1:30, so I had my doubts. I order three large Turkey, Bacon, & Avocado sandwiches on white, with the works. There was only two ladies working and it looks like there was a couple call in orders in front of me because it took longer than I would have thought for three identical sandwiches. I thought to myself, I hope they are good. There were amazing! Fresh, great crunch, and super good flavor. My 17 yr old son, that it was one of the best he has had in a long time. I agree. I have been to the's Sandwich shop many times over the last year while working in Visalia. Haven't been in a month or two but today I went to grab a quick sandwich and I was fairly disappointed in what I saw. Three employees in the store there was trash everywhere dirty containers the floor was dirty the refrigerator with the soft drinks was filthy and only partly filled the employees didn't look clean. This was extremely sad. I placed a delivery order for a grilled chicken sandwich and asked for honey mustard. I'm not even sad about not getting the honey mustard nor about not getting grilled chicken. I'm sad about getting a sad attempt at spicy chicken slices that were chewier than beef tendons. This chicken is unbelievably tough. It's even sadder because the pickles and bread used are some of the best that could be used in a sandwich. I might give them another go because forgetting honey mustard and using the wrong chicken can happen to anyone. But being served chicken leather might be the thing that derails a second chance. I cannot reiterate how tough these chicken slices are. It's something they might want to look into. read more

Out of all the Deli Ds in the area this is by far the best one. I've never had an issue with the girls messing up on my order which will happens at every other location but this one. Ingredients here are always on point as well. I've noticed other locations just don't taste like this one and that is why I truly appreciate this place. Got the grilled chicken salad for the first time here. It was really good (delicious, to be exact! Lol) had lots of chicken, avacado, onions, pickles, sprouts, and tomatoes. I'm giving this a two-star. Don't get me wrong. I live in Visalia and I've been here and I really have no problem with this restaurant in the past until today. I didn't bother to write review, but this today is what prompted me to write this review. It was embarrassing, actually. I ordered a tri-tip steak sandwich and asked a staff to recommend me a good bread to go with it. I forgot what is that bread, but it didn't taste good at all. To top it off, the tri-tip steak is old. The texture itself is so obvious that it was kept in fridge and re-heated for my sandwich. The steak tastes like shit and I'm very very disappointed with this restaurant today. Wasted $11 on this. (I didn't even finish the second bite and I threw it all in trash. That's how bad it was...) Staffs are good, but seems like the cashier is clueless and never ate deli delicious before. (I think that's why I got a bad bread to go with tri-tip. My mistake.) I don't blame cashier. I blame the managers for allowing employees to re-heat yesterday meals for today meals. Alright. I have tried time and time again to give this place a chance to redeem itself. No matter what though, in the past five years I have lived in this city, the service has never improved. I come in today BEFORE the church convention rush across the street came in and I was standing at the register for a good five minutes with three of the crew walking right past me. The music was also off inside the restaurant, making it super easy to hear the door opening and my car keys. Two of them made eye contact, yet no one greeted me or even said they would be right with me. I peeked around the corner into the kitchen a few times and saw one other employee messing with the two tablets also with a cellular phone in her hand. She later comes by the registers, only then do I get greeted but she says "I'll be right with you." as she grabs the telephone and proceeds to do something on the register. Not telling the four other employees there that there is a customer that's been waiting for five minutes, no just that I have to wait longer. Soon after, a younger girl peeks around from the back and we make eye contact, yer she doesn't come to the front. Then, an older woman walks to the front and asks if I'm ready. I am standing right in front of the counter, I have been ready. So I say, "yes." She then goes back to the other girl that had previously made eye contact with me several times and let her know that I am ready. Order taking was smooth, but then I wasn't handed my $0.28 in change? I get it, no big deal, but it IS cash handling and it IS my money, and she did not ask if I did not want my change (nor should she even assume I wouldn't want that back.). I wait for my food, well then the church convention people start pouring in making me wait longer for my food when, if they would have helped me immediately, I would have been a lot happier of a customer. I receive my food, and the girl handing it to me almost forgets the sauce needed for one of the sandwiches. The other worker notified her that it goes with my order too, and she places it right on top. Me, the customer, not knowing what type of packaging they use just picked up the bag and started walking to my car. I get to my car and see that the contents in this package have spilled into my bag and as I took the packaging out, it was still spilling out. I go back inside and alert them of this and I was met with "I'm sorry about that" and repackaging my food slowly and didn't even bother to refill the sauce that spilled nor even offered. I would have said something, but a supposed to be 10-15 minute interaction turned into 35 minutes. What a waste of time. Will be taking my business to Akers from now on. read more

I enjoyed this location with the fast and friendly service, everything was clean including the bathroom. The location was in a nice shady spot too. This was my second time at this location. The first time the service was fast and efficient. This second time I was very disappointed. I was the only one at the restaurant, ordered at 1:26pm, as indicated on my receipt, and 3 other parties ordered after me. I noticed that 2 of the parties after me had already gotten their sandwiches and were packing up to leave. I asked Marlene, the cashier who I placed my order with, about my order. Her response to me was, "there is only one person making sandwiches" coming off very rude, dismissive and as if she didn't care. What I did not understand was why the other parties after me were getting their food, and then the larger of the 3 parties order was starting to be delivered to them. I asked again, and she looked and she never sent my order in to be made. She then said that the whole order was not indicated on the receipt and I wrote my order down for her. She never once apologized, the sandwhich artist herself apologized, but they made it seem like it was my mistake that the order never got sent in from the cashier, Marlene. I didn't get my food until 1:53pm. 27 minutes later, my order was finally handed to me. If I would have never asked about my order, I would have just never received it. Ok I'm sorry but this location was terrible yes I came during lunch rush but I ordered online ahead of time and when I got there it still took an additional 30 mins to get my food!!! I ordered a salad and fries! Ridiculous! There were three girl working you could tell they were overwhelmed it I did not see a single one try to speed anything up. They all moved very slow. The floor was filthy and covered in food dropping and the counters weren't any different. I have tried so hard to like this Deli D, the one in Tulare is amazing, I ordered 2 sandwiches last Monday, and they both had mustard oozing out of them, even after scraping the mustard off they were inedible, I called the restaurant and the manager said she could replace 1, 1? I ordered 2, but ok, whatever, fastforward to yesterday, I left my house, and placed a call, the girl answered and immediately asks me to hold on, o.k., she doesn't put the phone on hold, she drops the receiver,!I listened to her take 4 orders, then nothing, I try to hang up after 8 minutes in and call back, but she never hung up so all I got was a busy signal. I make it to the restaurant and walk in, the girl is standing by register, no customers at the moment, but phone is still off the hook just sitting there, I say to her" I'm the one you told to hang on and forgot about" she looks at me and shrugs What! I ordered my 1 free sandwich, and tell the light mustard, get the sandwich home, and there is more mustard on it then the first one had, literally bursting out of the sides.
