The meat is some of the best I've had in California. Quality, tasty, staff are very friendly and helpful! Their specialty food and wine options are great as well! I would highly recommend! read more

If you want the freshest meats and the best cuts in the Central Valley, BL quality meats is your spot. They have everything chicken, carne asada, al pastor, ground beef, kobe beef, steaks . Makes choices very hard. If I had a lot of money, I'd order some of everything they offer. One stop shoppe, garlic bread, sides, they have seasonings available, and offer bottles of wine to add to your order. What's a nice steak dinner without a bottle vino??! read more

Best service- best meat, their name fits them perfectly! Has a feel of a small town but not too small town. Even the seafood is top notch, great pieces all the way around and fresh! Quick service and the guys behind the counter are always helpful and knowledgeable. Great options like organic ground turkey in the freeze section along with other wonderful selections of seasoning, freezer finds, bread, cheeses and some vegetables! You can put a dinner together quickly here, always a wonderful! read more

Quality meats is clearly the best place to buy meat and most all the spices and sauces needed to cook and serve that meat. They also had the bread and the drinks I wanted . Super. This last visit was to buy prawns. They had fresh prawns in stock. Great size . The butcher was help when I asked how best to prepare , everyone was friendly and helpful, I also found they could cook the prawns for me though I might need to ask Dave, one of the managers. I am also happy with the beef steaks and roasts I purchased there. On some occasions I have purchased shredded beef and pulled pork from their deli. Excellent every time - I do not have to cook and my friends really enjoy it. I find a great variety of meats available. Parking is easy. BL Quality meats is now the very best place to buy meat in Visalia. read more

Top of the line meats. Many rubs and spices to choose from. Very clean store. Good service.

They have a good butcher shop but their restaurant section is not good at all. Ordered a tri tip plate with potato salad and macaroni & cheese and basically threw it all away except for the potato salad. Tri Tip was very tough and tasteless. Wasted $20 . Need to improve the quality of their restaurant section. Other reviews say it's hit and miss. I guess I went on a miss day. read more

Dave helped us at the seafood counter and he was so helpful and amazing. A true gem . Seriously made my Mother's Day. Thank you .

Definitely good meats, a recommendation for sure. Now, I only got the breakfast burrito once to go one time and I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I never went back after that. BUT, if you're getting meat for home you cannot go wrong. And I'm not saying all food was bad for the to go breakfast burrito, I probably just got a runt of the pack. read more

Great selection of meats and sides. Lots of help so wait times are minimal. The families go to for tasty food.

Food was great got it to go, the service was fast but it was also later in the evening but got it fairly fast, will return again nothing bad to say but great food and good service read more

Great customer service at both the kitchen side and the meat service counter. I really like their breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Prices have gone up, just like everything else, however their quality has remained consistent. Definitely recommend! read more

BL Quality Meats - Menu and pricing - Barbeque Near Me - Visalia, California

The meat selection is huge and all is amazing and good pricing. Service is great as well!

The bbq portion of the store is great. The tri tip sandwich can be hit or miss at times (dry or just right). My favorite is their steak sandwich. I've gotten some of their family dinners and it's the right amount of food. There can be a wait time when they're busy. The store has a variety of meats and seafood but I can't judge their quality of meats since I've never ordered any cuts. I've gotten some rubs and other "groceries" from there. The service inside is friendly. read more

This place used to be good, but as of the last times we would go I noticed that it was tasting stranger and stranger. As of writing this, yesterday we went to a Friendsgiving where the host bought turkey from this place. It looked a little strange and tasted weird too. Later that night, THE EXTREME STOMACH PAIN AND NAUSEA everyone had that ate turkey was INSANE. Extreme diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, and some even fever. Last time I will shop there read more

Great quality beef, seafood, duck, cheeses, little selection of grillable veggies. There is a wide range from the most expensive marbled Wagyu to the simple carne Asada. I'm impressed by the quality of meat, and like to find the great deals hidden in the corners, like the "Grass fed Wagyu Beef Brisket" for $7.99 a lb. read more

Serving sandwiches on sausage rolls now. This place is getting more and more skimpy! Less meat, now bread The brisket sandwich they have now had 2 slices which totaled less than 1/4 inch! Lol won't be ordering from here anymore. read more

I love a good meat shop and I am a huge fan of BL Quality Meats. They feature Harris Ranch Beef which never disappoints. I come in here quite often because there is always a great selection of beef, pork and chicken all displayed behind the glass meat counter in any cut that you can think of. Marinated meats are also on hand. BL Quality Meats is much more than the meat counter. It is also a specialty food store where you can find anything you might need to create a wonderful meal with one stop shopping. There is a great selection of seasonings, sauces and oils that you will not find in the local grocery stores. There is a barbecue takeout counter for your lunch and quick dinner needs. You can never go wrong with their tri-tip dinner special. That's what we are having tonight. I give a four-star because the service is not so friendly. read more

10/13/23 Getting food for lunch tomorrow. 2 1/2 chicken plates & a rib plate ordered with ranch beans, loaded mashed potatoes, potato salad & macaroni salad. Rib plate came with sides too! The worker was kind and happy to give recommendations. They are busy and he said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in to get it. Safe & clean! After walking in, I wasn't sure where to go. I asked asked & a worker asked if it was raw or cooked. Said cooked and I was told to go back outside and to the left. Did so and waited a bit. Not even recognized. I had to say something . Not a welcoming worker at all when I asked about my order. Pretty rude! Why? . Paid for the order with thanks and a welcome and told it would be up in a little bit. They were busy! Waited a bit more before it was handed over and left. Took much longer than told it would take to be ready. Hopefully the food is good! Customer service really needs work! The guy that took the order was better! Outside are a bunch of tables & chairs to eat if you want. 10/14/23 Lunchtime! We had a little bit of everything to try! Chicken was seasoned good & with with the BBQ sauce, it was really good! Rib was tender & delicious! Potato salad was flavorful along with the macaroni salad! Tasty ranch beans & loaded potatoes too! Mother said hers was good. She really liked the ribs and said they were barbecued really well!! She said the macaroni salad was really good too! A LOT of leftovers! Another meal & then some! Really wish the service wasn't so bad! Would've received 5 stars, but it made the food not as Great! I would rather go elsewhere with great service than go through what I did to receive it. Not worth it. read more

Quality Meats is the best. I have been buying all my meat here for the past 8 years now. They've never let me down. Support local! Try out their dry aged steaks. You have to ask. Phenomenal when seasoned with JUST salt and pepper and cooked in a cast iron. Give it a shot! Employees are great. It's an awesome little market. Worth taking 5 min to walk around and check out their products on the shelf too. read more

Thank you Quality Meats for my turkey. I didn't need a lot so I ordered for sandwiches and it was so tasty and perfectly done. It was ready when I needed it and it was delicious. read more

I'm a bit surprised that the Whole Chicken combo with 2 sides and 6 rolls went up by 10 dollars in just about 8 months. From 19.99 to 29.99. That's just not worth it. In the pass 2 years it went from 14.99 to 17.99 to 19.99 then 29.99. No wonder there was still chicken and sides left 10 minutes before closing. Smh. read more

Pains me to say this. This place is my go to for exotic meats and meat in general. I love them which is why I can't bring myself to do 1 star. My complaint is oddly specific. I've gone through them 3 times to slice meat for making beef jerky and yet they can't seem to figure it out, or at least care enough to give a quality product. It's not a hard order, slice up some London broil in thin sheets but in return I've received butched random slices and different degrees of thickness. Today I ordered 4 pounds and could only use 3 pounds of it bc I can't dehydrate half inch thick stips of meat. For a company that is supposed to be a "quality meat" place, figure it out. read more

I came here and got the steak breakfast burrito their burritos Their are big and you can literally share it with someone else

Absolutely love that there is a quality butcher near by with huge selections of proteins. From land, sea and air, this place has it all and more. Been coming here for awhile now and love the selection and quality of their meats. Usually will get peppered bacon, stuffed chicken breast or one of their famous marinated tri-tips. Only a couple of gripes with this little gem. It's not in Hanford. I'll make 20-30 min hump to Visalia for some good meat so no biggie there. When they're busy, sometimes the guys helping will not use the number system and will leave people (me) hanging for awhile. People in line don't care. They'll go if someone makes eye contact with them. Meanwhile I'm standing by the bacon. This is probably my biggest gripe but I try to to go when it's not busy. Last one and hopefully this was an isolated incident, I purchased a delicious looking sourdough loaf next to the register that was marked as made in a home kitchen. Brought it home with hopes of making a sandwich the following day. I decided instead to warm it up and consume it for dinner that night. Upon inspection it had some mold. Decided to abort its use and figured I'd cut it up and make it into croutons the following day. Cut it up and had mold going inside. Threw it away. Sucker was $12.99 too. Had I known the price I prob wouldn't have purchased it to begin with but the fact that it molded so fast was kick in the gut. Had they been closer prob would have gone back. Okay venting done. Highly recommend this little gem for their fresh meats and seasonings. Oh and their amazing cooked food on the side. The tri tip is fire! Come for the fresh meats and get a bite of their amazing BBQ on the side. read more

We bought our meat every week for several years. I also bought meat there for the restaurant I managed over 10 years. We bought Hali but there for 24.99 a pound and it was ridden with parasites. We called for a refund and the guy was arrogant and said a manager would call us. The call never happened. We have not been back. read more

Very nice staff and always a good meal! More of a food to-go kind of place and portions are sizable enough to split.

Best local bbq. Make sure and call ahead to order since wait times can be lengthy! The wait is worth it though! They sell meats and side by the pound and also do catering. Hidden gem. read more

BL is the best! Great selection in the store, great food from the kitchen, friendly staff, reasonable turn around times... I love this place

Great selections of meat and seafood. Friendly staff, and always will to answer any questions you may have. Great selection of seasonings and rubs and marinades. They have the take a number machine, but damn who knows when they really use it. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Just use it all the time, gets confusing. read more

They sell the best briskets In town! Some time the wagyu is on sale for a very good price ! Great service too.

Best place to get your bbq either cooked or to cook! I decided to try out their Tri Tip for the first time and it was amazing for the $50 because I spent with Garlic bread. Worth it! Service was quick! The place is located on a little corner and you may miss it cause it's literally right next to a Save Mart and a gas station but still we'll worth it. read more

Food was over all pretty good. We got the 2lbs of tri-tip, mac & cheese and rice pilaf with garlic bread for 36.99$ Tri tip was good 7.5/10 Macaroni salad- its not macaroni its rotini with cheese but 6/10 Rice pilaf(was bland but not bad) 5/10 Garlic bread- 8/10 read more

There is definitely not many better places to buy meats I would definitely not be afraid to ask them to mix my hamburger (brisket and chuck roast) grab a couple Tomahawks, Ribeyes looked damn nice but I was just there for lunch so, I got some fish that I can cook while on my 10 hour drive (Hot Logic on Amazon) and went outside for the BBQ which definitely brings smoke to the party (no, not 420 smoke) ribs were damn good and a fair price (the inside butcher was pricey but you get what you pay for, the stuff was very good quality... so why not 5 stars (it's a strong 4.5 btw) I bought some seasonings with bee pollen (I think) it was a pricey fail ... the Salmon was uneventful in the flavor dept... it was King Salmon and I paid top of market for it but with my dietary changes it may be me.. but it reminds me of dog salmon.. I would still give it another try read more

BL Quality Meats - Miche mix was clutch! - Barbeque Near Me - Visalia, California

This is a pretty good bbq place. They were out of almost all their sides so we had to get creative. We order the half chicken dinner with potatoes salad, the beef, the tri tip, green beans, mash potatoes and Mac salad. The chicken was amazing and had great smoked flavor. The pulled beef was very nice and rich. The tri tip was not good at all and was very dry. The green beans and Mac salad were pretty good. The mash potatoes had way to much pepper and I did not like the potato salad. Another knock is they do not make their own bbq sauce they give you sweet baby rays. I would have it given this place 3 stars because of the tri tip but the chicken saved the day!! read more

This review is for the prepared foods (bbq takeout) counter, not the market. We had the bbq chicken, shredded beef, and tri tip with sides. We went right before closing, so they were out of many of the sides, but I liked the mac salad. The potato salad was average and the mashed potato salad (not sure it's called that) had too much pepper for my taste. The shredded beef was very good and the half chicken was a steal for the price. Tri-tip was thinly sliced but a little dry for me. Overall, solid experience but the chicken was def my fav part. read more

Always LOVE this place. Especially because now they are Patriots and not giving in to the mask requirement. Tulare County, the infection rate is about 5 out of 100,000.
