My only quibble would be the amount of food for the price is inconsistent. If you get the bowl, especially the kids bowl, the amount of chicken is solid. If you upgrade the price to get the plate instead though, the amount of chicken is almost the same. You get the other sides and stuff true, but it isn't as good of a value in my opinion. So I just don't get the plate anymore and I'm always happy.

They have their meats rotating on the spit. Today I tried their lamb plate. The plate comes with salad, rice, garlic sauce, hummus, and pita bread. I also got a side of falafel. The lamb was very tender. However, I am not a huge fan of the gamey taste of lamb, but my friend loves it. We split the plate, and she was in heaven. The falafel was good with the sauce. I would try one of their other meats if I go back again. The salad that comes with the plate is delicious. I love the flavor of the dressing. It has the sumac taste to it with tomatoes, cucumber and onion. The service was great. Even though it's not full service, we were checked on several times and we felt well taken care of.

Love that they have a rewards program! We've been talking about coming here ever since they opened a clovis location but just never had the right opportunity. They have a really nice patio but we decided to dine inside. Eureka has a great lunch menu with several options for $13. I tried the al pastor fish tacos and my hubby got the Eureka burger. Both were good... the burger though was something to come back for. They also have a good happy hour. The drinks coming from the bar looked really good. I decided to try the wild child. It did not disappoint with fresh watermelon and mint and a salty spicy rim. We just couldn't leave without trying a dessert. The bourbon barrel cake was really good. Warm cake soaked with bourbon caramel, topped with candied pecans and served with vanilla ice cream. We had a really good first time experience. Diego our server was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Very disappointing service…read more This review has nothing to do with the food and everything to do with the service and experience we had today. We were promptly seated on the patio, but after 15-20 minutes we left without ever being served. Not one staff member acknowledged us. We still had all our menus on the table, no water, and even had a highchair brought to our table after we asked our server to bring it to us when we were seated--so it was obvious we were there and had not been helped. What made it worse was that the tables around us were seated after us and received water, drinks, and even an appetizer from the same server, while we were completely ignored. When I spoke to the manager on the way out, instead taking ownership, her first response was an apology followed by, "The host must not have told the server." That may explain it, but it doesn't excuse it. The manager had a great opportunity to own the mistake and try to make things right. Instead, she offered an excuse. Very disappointing experience.

BEST POKE IN THE WORLD... IMO…read more I live in west LA and most poke places go out of businesses after a couple years except for a place called Sweetfin.... Sweetfin has NOTHING on butterfish. I've eaten poke all over SoCal and Hawaii and Butterfish hands down is the bestttttt! I for real would invest in opening a BF in LA. Also, I was having a really bad day and I accidentally ordered my bowl at the wrong location and they were so nice and made me a new bowl at this location. The customer service is great, the portions are fire, the price is THE BEST, and the curation of each bowl's ingredients is ART. I'd love to see some cauliflower rice in place of rice.... And please come to LA. You can charge double and the people will come. I promise!

Well she is amazing and just talking to her in this short time that I was there you can definitely hear her love for food and our community. Her and her husband put a lot of time into this restaurant to make sure the quality is perfect at every bite in everything they cook. What helps this pizza taste great is the style of their brick oven. It's the only way to have a really good pizza cooked. I hear they just opened up another location off of Fowler and Ashlan and the atmosphere, music and customers are really good. I had ordered or made my own style of pizza, and let me tell you right out of the gate that crust omg was so crispy, cooked perfectly and tasted just perfect. Their pizza sauce is home made and let me say hands down one of the best sauces I've had in a long time. I will be back to try more off the menu but I'm sure it will hit a home run for our community. Thank you so much Catarina for the hospitality, the visit and your time. It is a pleasure to have met you and gained a new friend I'll be Back soon

The clam chowder tasted like it was from a can. I'm sure it's probably not from a can, but I'm also pretty sure it's not made in-house. I really liked the toasty sourdough though. The bread bowl bread was at least good. Overall, it was a mediocre experience.

The counter person waved me over and stated they were all waiting for their online orders, "OK... cool?" I ordered the 6-inch tuna with lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeno, and banana peppers, along with a drink. By the time I had filled my drink and walked back to the pickup counter, my sandwich was already done! Apparently, online orders have to be made close to the pick-up time so they sit for too long. So, if five or more people order a sandwich for pickup at 12:30pm, your ass is waiting and walk-ins get taken care of first! They gave me a large tuna portion for my sandwich. It was very fresh and not too heavy on the mayo either, which can create a drippy sando. Loved all the toppings except that they put pickle spears on their sandwiches and not pickle chips... why? The sandwich came on dutch crunch bread, which I normally love, but it was hard a little hard to bite through. The crust was more chewy than crunchy, but still soft on the inside. Decent prices, a huge menu, and they offer most of their sandwiches in wrap form as well.

The Local has a ton of potential. My family and I were excited to try a new restaurant in Clovis ,…read moreand ran across positive reviews of this place. We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The food itself was okay, but nothing particularly memorable or worth the long waits.
