Absolutely the best!…read more For a small-town store, this is well stocked... and what they don't have on the shelf, they've always been able to get the next day (or two, for some of the bigger specialty items). The owner is very helpful, always seems to be there on weekdays, and if he doesn't know the answer to a specific how-to problem or hardware requirement, he's picked up the phone and asked someone he knows. Try to get THAT level of service in Surprise, Scottsdale, or Prescott...! The prices are reasonable, considering what that means these days... but the service is always excellent... the staff very amicable and friendly. Frankly speaking, successful hardware stores are like this... but this store should be a model for others to emulate -- and while I don't like spending money, I don't mind doing it here as I know I'm getting quality goods and service. One more thing: I'm a veteran, and I appreciate the courtesy they extend to me and to my military brothers and sisters. Thank you!

I've been a HD cardholder and customer for 20+ years, but this is the end of our relationship!!…read more Chantel at HD HQ in Atlanta listened intently and was sympathetic to my situation. She showed true empathy, but she didn't accomplish what I wanted (or needed) to get done... have two (2) thresholds installed between two (2) carpeted rooms that abut a common tiled floor. I told her I went to the local HD store to try and buy the thresholds myself, but no one at the store helped me. The reason I wanted the thresholds installed was because the carpeting was loose and coming up in the doorways and HD's contractor (USIG) had to come back to fix their mistakes/sloppy work. The reason for the carpeting coming up? They cut the carpeting a tad too short for the doorway!! After spending over $3,000 for new carpeting, what would it have cost HD to install two thresholds? HD's contractor, USIG, wasn't responsive to my request, and sometimes, hard to deal with. In short, if I have to hire a handyman, I will; and my HD card will never see the light of day at an orange cash register ever again!!

Good luck ordering anything here…read more Put in an order for about $2100 worth of welding gear, tanks, etc: offered to pay for the entire shipment, cash, debit or credit card, and was told not to worry about it. Stopped in a week later, and nothing had come in. Told to come back next Tuesday. The next Tuesday, nothing I'd ordered had come in. Told that shipments are received Tuesday mornings, and to come back next week. Same for the following Tuesday. Same for the next week. I finally got the idea, and went into Phoenix to order from a competitor. Got a phone call the next morning: all the gear I needed came in. Gave me a discount for paying cash. The discount paid for both round trips worth of gas for my truck. Lesson learned.

He helped me load into the cart, walked me to the cashier to make sure it was rung up right (one was a warranty exchange) and also OFFERED to help me load them into my vehicle. Proceeded to push the cart of tires and load them in. Whew! Awesome! That was really appreciated as I had my little dog in my arms since it was hot as could be outside and didn't want her feet burned on the pavement. That there was personal service. Online I found a Rubbermaid 32 gallon black can with wheels. This was a good deal. I didn't put the coupon code when I bought it online. I had to go to the back office and they had to cancel my order and then go up to the front and pay using the coupon. That was pretty silly. I then went to pick up the can. I had to go to the back of the store . One of the helpers went into where they store the online merchandise. He came back with the can and handed me a brand new can that had streaks of dust and dirt all over. It's not a big deal but I thought to myself, you would think the store would take some pride in keeping their products looking clean and new. Ace is a small outfit trying to compete with Low's and Home Depot. You would think customer service would be paramount in getting new business. They didn't win me over.
