We stopped in only because we had read they sold souvenirs here, and most all of the other stores in town were closed. While we didn't see any souvenirs, we were impressed at how much inventory this little hardware store carries! We were also impressed at the friendliness of the staff, who greeted us warmly. I also noticed that the place is really clean, and the items for sale are well organized and neatly hung nearly floor to ceiling. No need to wander if you know what you're looking for. We always enjoy supporting local businesses, especially when they're as friendly and helpful as Pine Hardware! We're in the middle of a home renovation project and have purchased several quality items from this hardware store - they even carry paint! They've got a decent sized inventory, so we like to stop here first before going anywhere else! We're painting over panel wood and the staff helped us pick the correct type of paint and gave some great recommendations when plastering over panel. We'll definitely be back for more shopping soon! I'm thrilled that these guys were here when I needed a hole saw on the last trip to our place up north. But it was also a little strange.... My entire life, I've known this building as home to Ponderosa Market, and I've grown accustomed to driving down the hill to Ace Hardware. That said, I browsed around a little bit and thought this looked like a perfectly good small hardware store with average prices. Also, the gentleman who helped me check out was quite pleasant and he even seemed a tad familiar. Next time I'm ill-equipped for a home improvement job up in Rim Country, I'll try to remember to go straight to Pine Hardware. I really wish them the best. read more

We moved to Pine a year ago and I cannot tell you how many times I ran to Pine Hardware and found what I needed at reasonable prices.. I have only struck out a few times, but what do you expect from a small town hardware store. Customer service has always been friendly, helpful, and honest. They seem to have a very large selection of plumbing and electrical items. I believe that is because of the huge variety of construction methods used in a mountain town over time. Name for me another hardware store in a town this small that has survived for more than 5 years! PHW is a god-send for all the do-it-yer-selfers and one-man-contracting businesses in the area. Save a $6 trip to Payson and back - not to mention the 2.12% sales tax difference - when you need that stray nut and bolt or PVC fitting. The guys who work there are friendly and helpful and depending on the season, have long enough hours to be useful. read more

This is a very nice little shop. It has all of your hardware needs for a hard days work, if you need something they don't have you can always go to the home depot in Payson. Pine hardware has excellent service, and very reasonable prices. This is a great shop to get all of your tool needs! read more
