I've been a HD cardholder and customer for 20+ years, but this is the end of our relationship!! Chantel at HD HQ in Atlanta listened intently and was sympathetic to my situation. She showed true empathy, but she didn't accomplish what I wanted (or needed) to get done... have two (2) thresholds installed between two (2) carpeted rooms that abut a common tiled floor. I told her I went to the local HD store to try and buy the thresholds myself, but no one at the store helped me. The reason I wanted the thresholds installed was because the carpeting was loose and coming up in the doorways and HD's contractor (USIG) had to come back to fix their mistakes/sloppy work. The reason for the carpeting coming up? They cut the carpeting a tad too short for the doorway!! After spending over $3,000 for new carpeting, what would it have cost HD to install two thresholds? HD's contractor, USIG, wasn't responsive to my request, and sometimes, hard to deal with. In short, if I have to hire a handyman, I will; and my HD card will never see the light of day at an orange cash register ever again!! read more

I've spent quite a bit of time at Home Depot this week, and Joseph has been a standout every single visit. He's always nearby with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. He offered friendly electrical advice, knew exactly where everything was, and made sure I had what I needed before moving on to the next customer. What really impressed me was how often his coworkers came to him with questions or asked for his help. We just moved to Surprise AZ and have spent a lot of time at Home Depot. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. We have been able to get what we needed every time. The biggest problem is the mosquitos. I come home with a minimum of six bites every time we go. I have complained to the employees, and they agree that there is a problem and have reported it, but nothing has been done. At least hand out mosquito repellent at the door. read more

Went to HD today - there was supposed to be a milkweed giveaway to help the monarchs. The girl in the garden dept had no idea what I was talking about. She was only a cashier. I asked her where the nasturtiums were and the milkweeds. French marigolds? She said I have no idea what you are talking about. You can walk around and look to see if you find them. Hubby and I walked garden dept for about ten minutes looking for some semblance of help. No orange vests. Not a body with gardening knowledge. Not indoor plants. Not outside. 9 people in line with full baskets./ flat beds. She never called for help. What a waste of time. That line wasn't worth the 5 French marigolds I needed for my garden. I called Home Depot today with a simple question for the gardening department. Is worm castings available to purchase? The person I spoke with had very poor English skills and couldn't understand my question. He did not know what worm castings were even though he works in the gardening department. He put someone else on the phone. She said, she was a cashier. She also had a very heavy accent and did not know what worm castings are. Both had asked me for a SKU number. Now, why would I have a SKU number? I asked to talk with the manager and she said he was not available. It seems this Home Depot has very poor hiring practices. read more

This store is organized by type of tool, so you have to walk around for hours if you don 't know where sanders, power screwdrivers, impact drivers, saws, etc are. Giant pain in the rump, particularly late on weekends when manning is at a minimum. The one bright side: Xavier, who looked all of the store for a DeWalt power tool that Home Depot's website said they had 6 in inventory. They didn't... but Xavier looked everywhere on my behalf. Super helpful staff. Went in looking for Xmas decos for our yard. My wife found what she wanted in the display, but there were none of them on the shelf. The Xmas section was packed, but several employees were stationed there to help. One employee offered to look up the items and found that the ones we wanted were in stock, but were stored on the top shelf a few aisles away. The next thing we knew another employee was up on a lift pulling them down. (He also pulled more to refill the Xmas shelf.) I can tell you this, you will never get that kind of service from Lowe's! As someone who used to work for Home Depot for almost 7 years the customer service is an absolute joke here. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this locations hardware department is horrible. My husband needed to get chain cut and he asked for help because you have to get an associate to do it for you and the younger guy he asked had a terrible attitude. One tried to help with my damaged product but never followed up with me on anything. The other (Sherry) couldn't even be bothered by my phone call to find out what was going on. The sell you a replacement plan without telling you it goes through a third party until you show up to get it replaced. management is mediocre here and has no modulation skills just lots of soft no's ( Sheri). The customer service was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had several questions about gardening and planting. The gentleman in the wheelchair was awesome! I came back a second time a few days later and he remembered me. They have a great selection of plants to choose from and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. We went with home depot for new carpet in our living room. It was a huge mistake. The installers put a seam directly in the middle of the room. We didn't notice until about a year in when the seam began to open up. We called to see what they could do about it and were told it needs a reseam so they put us on the schedule for a consult. They did not show up for the consult or call. Called again and they said they were sending someone out to do a reseam so we moved all the furniture only to have them show up and tell us they don't do reseams?? Called again and they told us there is nothing they can do. Home depot really thinks this is acceptable installation and customer service. Never again. read more

I am a frequent Pro shopper and I appreciate that this store stays open until 10pm and Angelica was very helpful in the paint department. She stayed late at closing time to make sure she matched the paint and sheen perfectly and was juggling several orders at once and stayed calm with all the customers asking dumb questions. At other stores the paint departments seem stressed and recently they closed the machines early and wouldn't help me within 10 min of closing. So I came to this store and I appreciate this paint department that knows what they're doing. Angelica should be recognized compared to other stores. read more

I wish I could give them a negative rating below zero! This is such a crappy, terrible Home Depot the employees especially in South check out, are very rude disrespectful, and the most dishonest people I've met . From standing behind you the entire time breathing down your neck as you were trying to pay after you've entered your military discount they will follow you to the door and stare down purposely pretend you did not pay for your things. This location makes everyone feel like criminals. I feel like such a victim after how I was treated at this location. They seriously need some high upper management help here. I would definitely let go all of the staff they have and rehire new ones. read more

We went to Home Depot for a washer/dryer. Not expecting to purchase right away but wanting eventually to upgrade. Mary Lou right away offered her service. She was very knowledgeable and patient. We ran into some issues on our end trying to make the purchase but we ended up figuring out our payment and successfully bought our new washer/dryer. She was so patient and made the experience great. I definitely want to praise how amazing she is as an employee and how personable she is! Future purchases to come because of her. read more

Horrible customer service at surprise store #483 I have shopped at this local Home Depot store for the facility I work for and personal home for some years now and never had a problem with getting Military discount till yesterday. I was purchasing flooring for my home the associate that helped me check stock was very helpful but when it came time to check out and I asked for my military discount it made me feel like I was trying to steal something. I have had trouble with the app and verifying my Military docs so I had explained that to both the cashier and supervisor who had to come and help with my transaction it was roughly $2500.00 of vinyl flooring she had said she didn't think she could do the discount for that big of an order. When the supervisor had seen I was getting upset and asked for names the attitude changed but by that time my wife and I where upset of how we were treated we just needed to walk out. We returned latter to pick up the flooring after speaking to the manager on duty and she assured me everything that in about an hour it would be good to go and I would not have any problems and she had let the cashiers know what to do when picking up the flooring I needed. That was not the case when I got to the store and started checking out the order was asking for a manager override at that point a cashier manager or supervisor came up to me and started to tell me that there was a 400.00 yearly CAP on military discount and this order already puts me a little over half way there it honestly felt like I was trying to steal something from the store and being harassed by her even the cashier was apologizing to me for what was going on. Defiantly makes me think of where I will be spending my money and my companies money in the future. read more

paid $1363 for new fridgidaire washer/dryer combo delivered april 19, 2025. got a lemon. pump and motor stopped working mid june. took to july 2nd for service. now another 2 weeks for parts and install. home depot, resolution boy, "joy", was extremely rude and evil! frigidaire was worse. neither will replace my unit and force to wait. i am 72 years of age and have not been to a laundrymat since the 70's. never again home depot. never again fridgidaire. my credit card company is who you will hear from next!!! read more

I went in to return a pocket hose (they're awful, don't buy them) and a really great gal named Angel offered to help me. I had my receipt and expected things to go smoothly but their system was saying the item had already been returned. Um, ok?! Angel tried everything she could to refund my card but nothing worked. That's when Melissa, the store manager stepped in. She was able to override the system and approve my return, paying me in cash. Both ladies went above and beyond to help me and I'm very thankful for their efforts. read more

Horrible customer service at surprise store #483 Purchased a refrigerator in late Oct. was delivered and installed on Oct. 31st. We opted for the water line installation for water and ice. The tech did something under my sink during the install that loosened the connection running from my sink into the wall. The results were a slow leak that went unnoticed for nearly a month. There is damage to my newly installed cabinets (approximately 2 years old), the walls, and bedroom carpet on the other side of the kitchen. When I contacted customer service about the issue they referred me to a manager who was very abrupt and rude. Had the audacity to infer that I was lying about the issue. Informed me that she would have to start an insurance claim. It's been over 24 hours and no one has contacted me. I don't know the manager's name but she was female and we spoke at approximately 11AM on 12/1. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with the treatment I've gotten from Home Depot customer service and management so far. Potentially thousands of dollars in damage done to my home by one of there techs and no one cares. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I'm disgusted with this store. From the lazy employees and loaders to the overall incompetence of the staff from top to bottom. I had a delivery to my jobsite of 100 pieces of 12' Hardie Plank siding. Ordered June 13th, delivered June 20th. The delivery fork lift driver unloads the stack of 100. Sticks the forks in the side and breaks some. Then sets them on the bill and a stack of them cracked in the middle. I take pictures and so does he. Today is now July 28th and nothing has been done. I've spent 6 hours in 3 different chats. Been promised delivery refund and that a truck was scheduled to pick up the broken items and then refund it 3 times now. The last time being today. I had to go pick up more of the siding today because my job is behind from waiting on them. I get a 5' tall teenager to help me load. Can't even stack right. Can't reach to get it in ladder rack correctly. It's 115 outside and I'm doing all the loading. For materials that I Paid $90 to have delivered!! You walk in the lumber isle of this store and the employees see you and run the other way to avoid having to lift anything. I'll be taking my business to Lowes across the street from now on! read more

Kind of in between he has been helping build an enclosed area for a gentleman on a ranch up in Wickenburg who was in need. They ordered 17 sheets of T1-11 ply wood, 2 x 4s and 1 x 4s. Home Depot contacted them to let them know when delivery would be. 3 times they canceled and rescheduled at thr last minute each time which was quite a pain. It was also disappointing that when they dropped the material off they placed it on supports under it aka (Dunage/stickers) made from. 2 x 3s. Unfortunately they did a half a- - job and left material hanging over the edges causing the material to warp. Sighhhh.. read more

I phoned the store 4 times and got disconnected twice, one call actually got transferred to the Department that I was looking for and I did talk to an associate but was put on hold for 10 minutes and got disconnected for the 3rd time. On the 4th call I did talk to Laura in Customer Service, she immediately located what I needed and set them aside for me to pickup within an hour. Laura needs to be commended for her excellent CD. Going into Home Depot with my fiancé always reminds me of what it felt like being a kid - getting stuck going somewhere where you have nothing to do! I will say we do (he does) always find what we need here. I also enjoy looking at the flowers and plants while he does his thing. Anytime I've gone in myself (maybe once or twice) and needed help, anyone I've talked to was friendly and helpful. Ran in to get a bunch of boxes and upon spotting Sales and with the help of Veronica we ended up purchasing a new set of appliances. Veronica patiently explained the differences in models and helped me to combine the HD appliance sale with the Samsung appliance sale saving us $1100 off our total cost!
