This place is fantastic! It was a farmers market, it had coffee and pizza. An amazing area for kids to play with toys. They have pigs and chickens to go say hello too. All of the employees were lovely. We cannot wait to go back! This place felt like home... blasting AC/DC with farm fresh produce- amazing!

Beautiful way to spend a Saturday morning! Open 8 - 1 on Saturdays in Fall & Winter. Farm, produce market, pizza oven, coffee stand, play area for children, board games, seating, and parking all on site. Love this family owned property, great place and so nice of them to open it to the public like this. It's special.

Can't believe I had never been here before today! My 7 month old is trying out different fruits and veggies so I wanted to get him something to try so we stopped here. It is so cool! They have pizza and a coffee stand. They also have chickens in the back and you can see the produce growing! I got avocado for my son and also jalepenos and pickles for me! They also had a bunch of honey that looked good. Really cool place to visit on a cooler day. They have stuff kids can play with too in the area where they sell the pizza. Will totally have to come back with some friends next time to have a fun meal! And the people working here were awesome!

Blue Rooster Produce is a magical place that all the lucky people who are in "the know" gather to purchase their incredible produce, mingle with each other as well as the pigs and the chickens, chow down on delicious pizza, grab a coffee, play games, and watch our kids have fun getting dirty in the sand box. Blue Rooster is a family run operation and everyone is so wonderful and nice! Jill makes sure everything runs like clockwork and people like Chase and the rest of the crew are always working hard with huge smiles on their faces ready to have a great day and enjoy the neighborhood crowd. The produce is exceptional; everything from onions, potatoes, celery, mushrooms, beets, squash, zucchini, peppers, eggs (if you get their early), spinach, greens, avocados, apples, melons, honey, pesto, and other goodies that come about throughout the year when they are ripe. Our family looks forward to going every weekend and we always end up with a huge bag of fresh fruits and veggies for a silly low price!!! Our kids (ages 1 & 2) have a ball looking at the chickens and the pigs and then playing with the other kids in the play area. This isn't just a produce stand, it's a wonderful community gathering place that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy from the minute you arrive. A good time is had by all, and you can even order pizza they make in the stone oven outside! Blue Rooster Produce stand brings food and people together and is an enormous blessing to our neighborhood. This is the place you want to be on Saturday morning; grab some groceries, make some friends, play some games, have a coffee and stay a while!

This little spot @blueroosterproduce on the side of the road on N. 91st Ave. in Peoria is easily missed while driving past on your weekend. We just had brunch at JD Campbell's and noticed this dirt patch up the road had some activity and parked cars. We decided to park along the side of the road and check it out. I am so glad we did! This market and café appears deceptively small from the street and expands into a large garden area and zoo when you enter. This is a pizza café, produce stand, roadside market, kid fun activity zone, mini farm and garden, and petting zoo, including pigs, guinea pigs, chickens, and any other wildlife wandering about. there's do-it-yourself gardening and paint-your-own rock centers. Any shopping done at the farmers market can be placed in a basket and held at the front on some large shelves by checkout. There is an outdoor sink as well if you need to wash your hands. Feel free to hang out in one of the many shaded patio tables or benches placed throughout this outdoor garden café area. Near the pizza kitchen and the rock painting table, there is an area set up just for kids to play house and have fun. We bought some jalapeños and three organically ground beefsteak tomatoes after walking down many raised bed garden paths, checking out the fruits and veggies, and also visiting the chickens and the pigs. We noticed several of the families buying wood fired pizzas to-go or to stay and casually relaxing at the patio tables while their kids played in the garden and the kid play kitchen. Service at check out was friendly and smooth. What a fun Saturday!

My kids and I regularly order a brick oven pizza when we go. We also visit the pigs and chickens.

New Safeway in the hood!!!! We have been anticipating the grand opening ever since they started…read moreconstruction and it did not disappoint. I proudly announce that I am that coupon cutting, foodie, chef, baker, grocery shopping mom nerd who loves a solid grocery haul. I gladly brought my two babies and hubby along to the opening and we were all so impressed and excited to have the new Safeway down the street from us! The minute we arrived we noticed flawless and beautiful displays of pumpkins on the outside and produce on the inside. Everywhere we looked it was a treat to the eyes; definitely made fruits and veggies look sexy! The parking was a breeze and easy to get in and out of, as is the drive up and go service that has been nothing short of wonderful for us (especially as a busy mom of 2 little who don't often want to get out of the car). Anyway, the other awesome thing they had was brand new shopping carts (with wheels that work and turn in all directions...yay)! They also have the big car carts for the kids and little mom's helper carts that my toddler will love. Along with fruits and veggies of all different kinds they also have their deli with hot and cold foods available, a bakery (we have yet to try), an amazing liquor area, a butcher where the meats look so enticing (I admit that I don't often get meat at Safeway because it hasn't been up to par, but this new Safeway had all the great cuts of meat and it's fresh and beautiful), they have isles and isles of neatly arranged product at great prices. They also have a pharmacy that we have gotten a few prescriptions from and it has been easy breezy. The store itself is giant, beautiful, and knocks the grocery shopping out of the park, but the best part of this store has been the staff. Everyone we have come across from the cashiers, butchers, bakers, customer service, to the drive up and go people have been so incredibly friendly and gone out of their way to help us in any and every way. This Safeway is wonderful and we will be shopping here for years to come!

I'm so disappointed in this store. I had such high hopes…read more It's a beautiful store but that's about it. I came in here a few days ago and my first impression of the store was an employee standing and talking to what I assume were friends, nobody said hello or greeted a single customer walking in. The flowers did all look beautiful and as I made my way over to the fruit it looked gorgeous. The fruit was terrible. Worse fruit I've ever had. Bland, tasteless and yet still "sour". I was walking around the rest of the store trying to do my shopping and I came across a product that I buy frequently, it was DOUBLE the price of anywhere else. I don't know why Safeway thinks they need to charge so much for their products. Their products are inferior and yet so much more expensive. I spent about maybe 30 minutes to 45 minutes in the store and not a single employee looked like they wanted to talk to any of the customers and that one employee that was at the front talking to her friends was there the entire time and never went anywhere else. I'm just so disappointed in the store. Considering the fact that it is brand new and just opened you would think they would be doing better.

Reasons why I love this market:…read more It's close to my house It's not on a Saturday morning Vendors are always so friendly It's never crowded Compared to other markets, there aren't many vendors. It works for me because it has the basics I always get: fresh herbs, eggs, tea & tamales. I'd love to see more produce but all in all, I think this is a really great little market.

I went last week for the first time, and back again yesterday since it was so good. Most farmer's markets I've been to in Phoenix are generally lame. Mainly because there are 50% or more booths that are selling things like jewelry, knick-knacks or other things that to me belong more at a craft show than a farmer's market. This one, however, is almost all food (the only booth I noticed, other than information, that wasn't food was a table for one of the stores in the plaza). Two or three produce vendors, depending on the week, farm fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, bbq sauce, cider, granola, tamales, etc. etc. My favorite though is the dairy guys with the fresh cheese curds. You'd think you were eating a mouse the way these things squeek! Definitely fresher than the ones at Trader Joes. I am a huge fan of this farmer's market, and am sure all be back plenty of times over the fall/winter. My only minor complaint is that they advertise as Arizona's only farmer's market under the stars...since I pretty sure that the Downtown Market goes on Wednesday night and there is a farmer's market now at Norterra (sucked...see above about non food vendors), it's not even remotely true. 4.9 stars, rounded up!

I called the number on the sign three times and was given a voicemail that says it has not been connected. So the people in the delivery were not answering their phone. The most egregious occurrence was today when the customer checking out before me pointed out the pricing error on about every 3rd item in her cart, including a meat item that had the advertised discount price sticker right on the front of the package. That meat item rang up at almost $1/lb more than the sale sticker on the package. Of the 3 items I had to buy, a jar of Spaghetti sauce that was marked on the shelf as a discount from $12.99 down to $8.99 was subsequently charged at $10.99. This overcharging seems to be quite consistent and needs to be corrected. I have notified these facts to Arizona AG's office in the form of an online complaint.
