I really wanted some pub grub and it was between Gordon Ramsey's London House or Delaney's. The reviews were very mixed for London House but consistently good for Delaney's so I came here. It's easy to find, just exit Tsim Sha Tsui station at iSquare and it's across the street. I came a little after 3pm when their happy hour started. Drinks are 20% off and it goes from 3-7pm. I had a vodka soda and the fish and chips. The drink was strong and refreshing. The fish and chips came out quickly and was well fried and hot. The beer battered was very good, not too thick and stayed crispy even after several healthy dashes of malt vinegar and lemon. The tartar sauce was okay. The chips were also very good. Service was nice but I had to get the server's attention a couple times even though the place wasn't busy. It was fine though. My total bill came to $356HK or about $45.39US which is about average for Hong Kong prices. They have a good looking Irish breakfast for $144HK daily until 5pm so I'm probably going back tomorrow for that.

F**king awful. Fish n Chips were from frozen squares of fish, where the beer batter was mushy and separated from the fish. The salmon steak was unimaginably overcooked, horribly dry, and not seasoned in the least. The salmon was accompanied by chips, previously frozen broccoli, and repurposed carrot sticks. In terms of service, the host was genuinely cheerful, however, our server dropped our food and never returned for a quality check or to see if we needed anything (salt, pepper, beer, water, etc.). Please spare yourself and your loved ones from Delaney's.

We found this Irish Pub right in the heart of Hong Kong and it was such a treat for St Patty's Day. The servers were wonderful and the food was fantastic. Traditional Irish cuisine and of course the Irish beer was just what we needed to celebrate! I will go back to this pub next time I am in Hong Kong.

Pretty nice staff, good selection of beers. Typical adequate bar fare, and some big screens that they put Premier League and NFL on. Got to see chelsea one late evening and some NFL playoffs the next morning. Very eclectic crowd of tourists and expats and a few hong kongers mixed in. Easy walking distance from the Sheraton if you happen to be staying there.

After a long flight from the states - all I wanted was a cold beer and a basket of fries. Well this is the place. Fast service, friendly staff, hot food, and cold beer. There's also a friendly environment of locals which adds to a lively banter going on around you. Much better than hanging out at the hotel lounge.

Solid throwback to the familiar. If you're bouncing around Kowloon, Hong Kong - I suggest you dive in to the local tastiness. If the craving for standard American familiar menu items hits you, well Delaney's will make you feel right at home.

I do my best to stop here for lunch when passing through town. Great beer, good bar food, and not overly crowded at lunch.

A fantastic place to dine in some western food. Good old times. Being new to HK I'm just learning new places to hang out with the crew.

The staff nodded, repeated the order, and got us two drinks. My friend was probably being too nice to not point out that the Hendrick's Ginger Ale was too light in Hendrick's and too much in ginger ale. But hey, now that we finished the first round of drinks, why didn't we order another round anyway, while waiting for another friend to come, before we headed to our dinner? Perfect, let me order a Hendrick's Tonic. "Sorry?" "Hendrick's. As in the gin." "So you want Gin Tonic?" Said the staff, who wasn't as confused when he took our first order. "Yes, but with this specific brand of Gin called Hendrick's." "Let me check if we have it..." "But it's on the menu?" I pointed at the menu, where clearly showing they did serve Hendrick's. "Oh right, surely." My friend now wondered if she really got a Hendrick's Ginger Ale. Oh yeah, you know that answer already when you are reading this, but we had to wait until the bill came to confirm. I'd have given them a 2-star if it's not a newly opened bar. Also, I asked for the address of the place (so that I could send to my friends coming over). Apparently it wasn't on any of their drink menu or leaflets. They didn't have a business card either. And they ended up giving me the receipt of some other table which finally got their address. Well, they had a big arse TV just happened to show Janet Hsieh on TLC. That got some of my very subjective points.

Con: There are not many other reasons you'd specifically come to this bar. Pro: They have almost twice the size of the original store. Con: It's a bit further away from the actual Causeway Bay, and further uphill. Pro: They have an amazing list of beers to choose from (well, amazing in terms of CWB's standard, not Soho's). Con: You have to be very patient to get a server, due to its prolonged corridor. It's a flaw by design. Pro: Unlimited peanuts and you can toss them on the floor. Hell YES. Con: It isn't really an "Inside out" anymore as most of the areas are indoors or covered. More cons: "membership" only (although it's like $20 a month, or you can tell the server that the friend of yours who is a member "is coming"). It closes relatively early to other bars, and also it lacks of other entertainment (darts, pools, etc.). But surely you can go to their professional pool room if you are keen. But as a sport bar, I still enjoy every bit of it, if not more than its original location, which was somehow always full.

My favorite has to be the creamy macaroni and cheese, my friend said it was a bit too creamy, but I just love it, and with the bacon bits, it tasted fantastic! I also ordered the hot wings, the waiter was very nice, as he warned us the sauce can be quite spicy for some, and asked if I want to have them on side instead. I was like: bring it on. The wings looked slightly skinnier than before, but taste wise, it is still there. Celery on the side looked a bit .. yellow though, but still crunchy!

Another thing hard to ignore is all the peanut shells on the ground. Maybe it's just a decor gimmick or maybe (just maybe!) it's an opportunity for locals to feel the satisfaction of littering at a place where no one gets to litter ever. I've eaten my share of peanuts and happily contributed to the mounts of shells over the last few months. It's definitely kind of fun. I usually bring a drinking buddy or two to pregame here before heading to a few other nearby spots for food and more drink. Fatt's has a lot of tallboy action for stands, which are good for tall folks but that's really about it. There isn't a whole lot of room for group drinking action, but who really cares when you're standing on a bunch of empty peanut shells anyway? They do serve an pretty solid lineup of western foods, mainly bar / pub fare. It's just a shame I haven't really liked any of them. They tout their "big" burgers, but at $100HKD, I'm expecting something big and flavorful. Strangely enough they also serve marinated ribs ($265 for a full slab), sausages, and salads. I made a mistake one night and ordered their pasta / pizza, and it was no bueno. Instead, stick to the drinks and good company. Simple is good at Fatt's. Bottoms up.
