DEKI tasting room is amazing. We are visiting from Texas and decided to stop by. We got to speak to the owner Tom and bartender Alyssa, they made our experience wonderful and I would recommend to anyone trying to find a a distillery that makes amazing cocktails. They made sure we got the right cocktail to our preferences.

Will was the only bartender there that night. He said it was dead at 7 but then there was a huge rush after we came in for drinks. Will is an awesome bartender with a great personality. Everyone was very understanding since he was the only one there. Drinks are good! I'm not a big drinker but definitely check this place out!

12 Point Distillery opened last week in downtown Lafayette and offers craft liqueurs along with a wide variety of interesting cocktails. Service is very friendly and they will try to accommodate your taste as much as possible. There is a nice patio and since they don't have a kitchen there are food trucks at times (I guess you have to follow them on FB to know when they come). If you miss the trucks, like we did, there have a limited selection of snacks (pretzels, guac and chips) you can buy. We all ordered different cocktails, that way we got to try a few of them. I'd say some were flavored a little too strongly for my taste. For example, the Rosey Cucumber was too heavy on the Lavender (this plant is tricky as a little goes a long way); the Mary Miller Mule was also strongly flavored with ginger, too much for most of us. Still, other cocktails such as the Spicy Blackberry Mojito or the Old Fashioned were quite good. We all had a very nice time and will go back, hopefully next time one of the food trucks will be there.

Love this little place great drinks and great deck on the summer! Dog friendly patio!

Wow. Just wow…read more Nora's Speakeasy might be one of my favorite cocktail spots ever. The vibe is dark, elegant, and cool without trying too hard -- it really feels like a secret hideout (but in the best way). Drinks? Insanely good. Their "Nora's Version" menu reimagines classic cocktails with modern twists, and every single one we tried was a hit. Balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted. Food is simple but hits the spot -- charcuterie, grilled cheese, and pretzel bites that pair perfectly with the cocktails. Bonus: You get a welcome sip when you arrive! Such a fun touch that set the tone for a great night. Run, don't walk. Louisville, you've got something really special here.

I saw it had good ratings online; unfortunately I came on a day my stomach was already bothering me but I wanted to have a look. It's a very low light, date night vibe inside. The barista was super friendly, and I saw online they'd had a very sweet cocktail from a few years back - I asked her about it and she didn't have all the ingredients but offered to make me something similar. I declined because I felt like i shouldn't be drinking with my stomach feeling off, but it's exactly the type of place I like to check out, the menu was cool. I will definitely try to make it back one of these days when passing back through the area! Also had lots of free street parking all along the main road ~

I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. It just holds enough sauce in the hollows to satisfy me. The ragu was cooked well, good sauce maybe it needed just a little pinch more of salt for my liking. Parking in the neighborhood is not difficult. We had an airbnb down the street and walked here in less than 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio-ish area. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Lafayette!

Man what happened to this place…read more. Jasmine used to be my favorite bar in the area. They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu. I'm praying this place didn't sell out and it's just in some strange transition period between seasons but I won't be returning to check until some time after the new year and these awful drinks are gone. For now, go to Nora's.

Acreage by Stem Ciders ended up being one of the places that helped us fall in love with Denver…read more My girlfriend and I first visited while we were in town trying to decide if we wanted to move here. A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places!

The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, the kind of place where anyone can walk in and feel comfortable. It works just as well for a casual hangout as it does for a night out with friends. The drinks are a highlight. Between the self-pour tap wall, infused liquors, and a well-balanced cocktail menu, there's a lot to choose from. Even the homemade Dr Pepper stood out. For food, the wings were a favorite. Crispy, well cooked, and paired with house-made sauces that really made a difference. The chocolate chip cookie sundae was also a standout and a great way to end the meal. One of the most impressive parts is their dedicated gluten free pizza kitchen. The in-house dough is well done and doesn't feel like a compromise, which is great if you're gluten free or dining with someone who is. Overall, it's a well-rounded spot that does a lot of things right.

There are tables and a bar, the place is well lit and clean. There are also tables for groups and an outdoor area which is great. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered wine. I got a pepperoni pizza so that I could take leftovers to my husband. I also was curious about the gluten free crust. The pizza was good - the pepperoni flavorful. It had a lot of cheese and I would have preferred a little less so that I could better taste the pepperoni and the crust. And the crust was also good. This is a great option for a place to gather with a group if there are gluten free eaters you need to accommodate for as there are many choices. The servers were friendly and due to it being a slow time of day, it took a bit for someone to get to us, but we weren't in a hurry so it was all good. I would definitely try this one again.

The decorations were a little shotty and at one point someone stood on the bar to plug in the lights. There was a sandpit outside where the band was playing and swinging chairs at the bar. The first drinks that I got- the one in the coconut- was basically an expensive cup of ice. There was VERY little drink in here. After about two sips, it tasted like sweet ice water. I also ordered the pain killer which was delicious! We had a very friendly, but overall inattentive waiter. Again, we were shoved in the back corner so perhaps that's why.
