Great place for breakfast! My boyfriend and I come here at least once every two weeks (more if we can) for breakfast. I love everything about this restaurant from the food to the wait staff! Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection! I've never had a bad experience or had to send my food back. The portions are a huge but I finish every last crumb. I typically get the Veggie Benedict. Vegetables are always fresh, English muffin is perfectly toasted, hollandaise is on point every time! My boyfriend likes to get the waffles or pancakes! They have a great selection of syrups to accompany. Hash browns are always cooked to perfection! I've also tried lunch here. I had the clam chowder in a bread bowl (amazing and so filling). I've also tried their turkey club - which was good as well but I prefer other things on the menu. Boyfriend loves the jalapeño burger here! French fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the food here is great! I always have such a hard time deciding what to get! Would definitely recommend to everyone! One weekends there is always a wait. But it goes very quickly and the other side of the restaurant is a cafe which seems to make the wait go by much faster! read more

I stopped in here this morning with my little girl before we went to Peter Pan. The ambiance and decor was beautiful. I enjoyed how much character this delightful spot had! I felt like I had stepped out of Redding for a moment (in a complementary way) I ordered an omelet with hash-browns and it was scrumptious! The food came out very quickly and our waitress was so sweet despite how busy she was... she came back to check on us and always had a smile! I will be going back again for sure! read more

Dejá Vu is one of the best places in Redding to consistently deliver a superior breakfast (or lunch) experience. The food is always cooked and seasoned to perfection, the customer service is reliably helpful and fast, and I always know I'm going to leave with a very satisfied tummy! On our most recent visit, I was especially pleased with our server, a bubbly, lovely lady who quickly remedied a mistake with my order, even though the error was mine! We are visitors from Utah. Our waitress did not check in as we waited for our food for 45 minutes and watched five tables around us receive their food even when we put in our order first. My wife and I have driven by this place many times and decided to give it a try this last Sunday morning. We arrive about 9:50 to find several people on the list ahead of us. We waited about twenty minutes before being seated and noticed quite a number of people walking in to join others already there. (Tip: Drop someone off to get your name on the list, then park on the street, if a spot is available, or in the public lot across the street.) We were finally seated in a large booth in the back and our jaws dropped when we noticed there was a large group of 14 just across from us looking at menus while they gabbed. Our waitress was kind enough to take our order first. I ordered chicken fried steak and my wife had a California omelet. The were both perfect and their cooks know how to do hash browns just right. The chicken fried steak was tender enough to cut with a fork. GREAT MEAL. This is now our favorite breakfast place in town. I absolutely love this place. The waitresses are awesome and the service is equally as great. While waiting for a table there is a waiting area where you can become aquatinted with some of the most lovely people in all of Redding. And in the back there is an old style Victorian coffee shop that has the best most heart warming coffee and cappuccino's :) The family that owns it takes part in running it as well which gives it the most family friendly environment. Anytime we are out of town, we try and find a cool local restaurant and try their biscuits and gravy. Some are just okay, and most are pretty good.. But this place, hands down, is the best biscuits and gravy we have ever had. Biscuits are HUGE and wonderful. Perfect combination of fluffy and doughy. Gravy is awesome too. The chicken fried steak is also pretty dang awesome. One of the best I've ever had. The only part of our meal that wasn't great was the omelet. It was more like a scrambled egg taco with some meat inside. No problem though.. Was in Redding with my husband for the weekend and decided to try this place out. They have a coffee shop attached to the restaurant, so you can order any of the drinks from there to enjoy with your food. The staff is really friendly and our server Heather was amazing. My husband has dietary restrictions and so going out to eat at new places can be daunting. Heather made sure she wrote his order down exactly right and it came out perfect. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. I recommend the Belgian waffle with apricot syrup. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious too. My family had indoor brunch today. The food and service was good. Please take note that some staff were not wearing mask. While I understand California is soon to be lifting mandated mask rule on June 15th, I was a bit uneasy not seeing all staff wearing mask whereas other restaurants still have staff doing it. This is the place to go on the weekend with your hungry husband to strap on the feedbag and fill him up! The menu reminds me of the 70's before we learned to a eat healthy diet so you can get some dishes that aren't commonly offered most places. The decor feels nostalgic and comfortable, like a big fancy diner with oversized booths. The servers are friendly and the food is hot and delicious. So we went there Sun afternoon our party got there at 1130 for reservations at 12. We sat there for an hour and waiting for our table. After being sat at 130 we sat and waited for our food for over another hour. Our waitress was new but super nice she did the best she could which we were I standing of that. I just feel like if you're going to take a reservation of 12 and noon you need to be prepared for a reservation of 12 at noon and not make them wait 2.5 hours before they have food in front of them.
