RACIST MANAGEMENT. We stopped in Sunday afternoon to get a COVID test so our daughter could go to…read morecamp. We had an appointment. The VERY kind phamacist told us that we needed to find a different test so we sat in the chairs to the far right of the counter to cool off from the 94 degree heat to use our phones to scramble to find another testing location. We bought drinks for our family because it was 94 degrees. Only 1 other patron was in the store. The manager, JASMINE, came over to ask if we needed something. I said, we were here to get a test but it was the wrong type. She said, "I think they have those at CVS or Walgreens". I said, Thank you. She continued to stare at our myself, my husband and 2 kids. She said, "You're just sitting now." OK... your point? It's start to dawn on me... I see where she's coming from-- I said, "You started off sounding like you were trying to be helpful. But now you're just being rude. Do you need something?? If not You can GO now." She finally huffed and stormed off. There was NO ONE ELSE near the pharmacy. We were out of the way. It was 94 degrees outside. We had an APPOINTMENT and had PURCHASED drinks. But Becky-- I mean-- JASMINE-- decided she didn't want us using up all her air conditioning for the whole 7 minutes we sat quietly in the chairs while we tried to find a place to get the test we actually needed. There is only 1 reason, someone would try to hurry someone out of "her" store when NO OTHER CUSTOMERS were in our area or hardly in the store, while we sat peacefully with our 12 and 15 yo children trying to resolve a situation. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be bullied out of a store by rude RACIST manager even if you are a paying customer.

But some of my drugs require prior authorization and I'm actually not sure this crew understands what the process is and what their role is. Over the past two weeks I talked to them plenty of times. I only got more confused. They never gave the same convuluted answer twice. And each time they became increasingly annoyed with me. When they had been especially snotty and as unhelpful as usual, I asked them to wipe all my prescriptions. I moved. Interestingly enough, I had ALL my prescriptions in hand the second day I signed up for the new pharmacy. And they called me a few times to make sure I understood the arcane process that is prior authorization. Don't go here unless you don't need much more than aspirin.

Almost 2 years later, it seems that my complaints about retail prescription substitutions are more closely being watched. However, Mr. Smaili continues to display reluctance in properly completing his duties as pharmacist. I reported concerns that he was acting more like a salesman than a pharmacist with vaccines given my awareness of health informatics; and so I shared that information with another paraprofessional at the pharmacist who didn't seem willing to consider the documents about ethical pharmaceutical dispensation that I provided from the national institute of health and PUBMED library databases.

A horribly inefficient pharmacy. In Amherst, with the exception of Walmart and Stop & Shop, theonly…read morepharmacies are CVS. I am shocked at how poorly managed this pharmacy is... And pretty much at all locations. They are always understaffed. I'm sure it's difficult to anticipate when there will be rushes in the store. But honestly, couldn't they figure out how to put redundant staff to work doing other things in the store during unexpected slow times? Also, the CVS on N. Pleasant St. in Amherst has over 30 parking spaces in the back specifically for Cvs Pharmacy shoppers. Yet just about every single time I go there all the spaces are taken up. And when I go into the store, with the exception of staff, there are two people in the store! When I inquired at the pharmacy about the situation, I was told that they were aware and there have been many complaints but people just park there and then goshopping around town and that there was nothing they could do to monitor it. They didn't have the resources to monitor it. Why do they bother having the spaces if no one can ever park there.?!CVS should just suck it up and figure out what to do about that for the convenience of their customers.! As many people have commented, the receipts there are utterly ridiculous and there is no reason why the receipts can't be put "on your card" instead of handing you this waste of trees every single time you go there. Who really uses these coupons? Their computer system is also a disaster... Frequently calling your home to tell you that there are multiple prescriptions ready just to go there and find out there are no prescriptions ready. Perhaps due to the understaffing of the pharmacy, the staff can be pretty abrupt. I'm changing my pharmacy to any other place I can find. Cvs Pharmacy also donates greatly to the Trump campaign. Another reason not to have anything to do with them. If you're a big Trump fan then I invite you to enjoy your visits to Cvs Pharmacy.

So I rushed over here w my baby in tow, just to get a sign thrown in my face. Out to lunch. So now I'm sitting in the parking lot w my screaming 7 month old w a double ear infection waiting for someone to help me. I walked in at 1:29 and was basically laughed at by a heavy older man behind the counter. I'm not sure why the power trip is so necessary these days but it's disgusting. Zero consideration, for me, my baby, our situation. I would leave zero stars if I could. It's now 2:01 and they're still closed! I'm a minute early and you tell me no- now you're a minute late and it's like deal because I'm at your mercy. Sickening
