I've been to a couple of dispensaries in the area. I'll tell you that it creeps me out to walk into a place and be asked for my ID and only then can I enter the main area, like a gatekeeper or a bouncer at a club. I've never been one to go to those kinds of places, so I'm not used to it. I realize that this is part of the protocol for shopping at a dispensary, but it's just weird to me. So it's nice that INSA Easthampton has this phase of entry as part of the main shopping space; it puts me a little more at ease than those aforementioned places. Good product but too expensive. Insa needs to compete with other stores by lowering their prices, especially with vapes. Also never restocks their dart pods. Pre rolled blunt was impossible to hit - weed in the tip and rolled too tight. read more

My thoughts on and review for the Insa dispensary are best summed up in the following excerpt from an email that I had written to a friend recently recovering from a major health operation: "I am happy and thankful to hear about the progress made so far. Now I would please ask to speak frankly about the weed, because I think it may be a key ally in this situation. I would recommend the recreational dispensary in Massachusetts that I have most enjoyed, Insa in Easthampton, Mass. I heard you are now able to eat soft foods only, and that for dinner recently you had mashed potatoes, one of my favorite foods. Another of my favorites are the delicious (and soft / go down too easily!) chili dogs at Nick's Nest, a Jane and Michael Stern 'Road Food' classic, an easy stop on the drive up to the dispensary in Northhampton. While you are recovering from this major operation, I would recommend you focus only on the edibles. Insa's selection includes: plain chocolate bars, fancy chocolate bars, fruit chews (my recommendation for you) and ingestible capsules. I heard you are a little worried that the weed now is so much stronger than what you had been used to. This concern is right on and valid. You will have to please be careful and err on the side of over-caution. If you do buy edibles, I would recommend eating no more than a quarter dose, and then waiting a full 2 hours, before eating any more. So if it's an Insa chocolate bar, a single dose is a triangle of the bar, and I recommend you break that down into quarters. If you get the Insa fruit chews (and chili dogs!) each fruit chew is individually wrapped and represents one dose. You would want to use a sharp knife in the kitchen, and slice the fruit chew into 4 pieces. When you eat one of the 1/4ths, please wait a full 2 hours, and see how it feels, before you eat another. That will give you control over the dosing. With the ongoing (and inevitably painful) recovery sapping your resilience, I believe you will find the edible helps bring back your equilibrium. Instead of feeling super high, it will merely lift you back up from the low-lows, and help to aid your appetite." This place is fantastic. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. They go through extensive training. They have all the products on display. You wait at the main door for the right number of people to clear the lobby. In the lobby you show your ID and are cleared to enter the showroom. Once in the show room you stand in a queue until you are called to the counter. You have a specific bud tender assisting you until you have made your selections and then they bring you to the registers. The space is clean, and well designed. The waits here are less than the other option in Northampton. They have been really good about crowd management, and I've only heard good things from people about their experiences. It definitely feels odd that this is all legal now! You can check the menus online, they are up to the nearest quarter hour, and you can put in a preorder to pick up on your visit. The prices and taxes are high, but it's nice to have a fully legal option in my town. Right now all I can speak to is the quality of some of the in-house edibles (orange) and the dart fire oil. Both are excellent and very relaxing. The edibles are about 5mg each for the recreational bottle. (50mg/+/-10 pieces) The dart is 200mg and I feel like this will last me awhile. Right now there are limits imposed by insa for quantities for recreational: part of opening our doors to recreational customers, we have placed temporary limits on the amount of product patrons will be allowed to purchase. Those limits are as follows: One of Each Type of Concentrate (Patrons can choose to buy one Wax, one Shatter AND one Live Sugar) One Edible One Vape Pen, Cartridge or Dart Pod One 1/4th Ounce of Flower Two Regular Pre Rolls Two Slim Pre Rolls One Five Pack of Pre Rolls (when available) We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. This is a great dispensary for all of your needs. They have a great selection and the staff is very helpful. We arrived to find a line which made me worry, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Once we got inside we waited on another line, but also not too long. The girl that helped us was great and had a bunch of suggestions for me. Why they didn't get 5-stars: Pricing. This is the only dispensary that I've ever been too, so I don't know what the prices are like elsewhere. The taxes are pretty high, which they can't help, but it would be nice if the products we're priced a little lower to help offset the taxes. read more

I live in Southern California. Our dispensary game is pretty on point but I didn't realize how trash it was until coming here. I've NEVER been to a shop so aesthetically pleasing before. For where it's located, you would not expect something like this to be so well put together and accessible to the public. It was a breeze being a first time patient, even though they were really diligent about policies/procedures/following laws. Once inside, it was one of the nicest, clean, organized and east dispensaries I have ever been to. They had different sections for every need and a pretty big selection. I had forgotten my mobility aid and the staff berated me and laughed at me while I struggled to stay upright and asked for a chair while completing my order. It was the most humiliating experience. I visited Insa on a spontaneous trip (honestly, only went on a spontaneous trip for Insa ha). This was my second time visiting a dispensary (first time was NETA near Boston). I absolutely loved the layout of this dispensary. It was clean, super organized, and easy. I definitely prefer this layout over NETA's near Boston. The line was not long at all, maybe a 10 minute wait. I bought one giant edible and 10 mini edibles (all chocolate bars) and that hit my limit for the "day" (I put in quotations because there is a NETA down the road if you want to double down). Our cashier was going to let us go through again but we ended up getting a different guy who wouldn't let me buy more (I understand, he's following the law). NETA is definitely more relaxed on that part but it is what it is. The prices were a little bit higher but the flowers were hard-hitting. You get what you pay for at Insa, no doubt. Parking is a bit weird, you have to use the roundabout and go straight until you see traffic cops guiding you in. Parking is plenty. Overall, this was a great visit and I definitely will be back. read more

I visited INSA early afternoon on Good Friday. This was my first experience buying legal weed, and I have to say it was a good one. I had a little confusion about which line to be in and where to check in, but that's just me. The set-up was very efficient, and employees and fellow customers all seemed very mellow and friendly enough. I had to wait in line for a few minutes outside and then a few more inside. It kind of reminded me of waiting in a bank back in the day - except the tellers are bud tenders. I wanted to try a few different things including a vape pen and some pre-rolls, but was unsure what strains to order. My bud tender was very polite and we discussed my habits and preferences and he was able to help me choose a few things. Then we proceeded to the register and I paid in cash, although it appears they accept cards. On the way out, a male employee held the door for me and offered me an "I bought legal weed" sticker which I accepted in good humor, although I live in a non-legal state. All in all, a very interesting and pleasant excursion. I was kind of nervous when I arrived, maybe because I'm from a state where recreational cannabis is not legal, but I relaxed once inside because the atmosphere is very chill, and the employees were courteous. You have to wait in line outside, to wait in another line again once you get inside. They need a person answering questions to FTPs while they are in line. Or they need two lines, one for people who know what they need, and one for FTPs who need more time with Qs. If you don't have 2hrs don't go. Even their call ahead takes a minimum 30min and your still limited to what you can buy so you'd have to call every 1/2 hr to get supplies. This is a really cool place! I would definitely suggest ordering online for pickup so you don't have to wait in the long line to get inside. (When we got there there was a line almost around the building because only a certain amount of people can come in at a time). Everything we got we really enjoyed. I would recommend the gummies as they were really fun. The chocolate is good too but it made us feel too lazy. Depends really on what you like I would say. Leaving one star here. Nothing to complain about their herb or other products, but I am leaving one star for their glass products. My boyfriend went and and bought a new waTer pipe. We had it for exactly one day and noticed it has a slow leak from the bottom. If you look closely you can see a hairLine break iN the bottom. It was not mishandled or dropped in anyway - we had it less then a day when we noticed it was leaving a puddle wherever we put it down. So, we called to talk to INSA staff to see if we could bring it back, and were told there is a no reTurn policy for glass. I suppose this is underStandable, albeit still very frustrating. Prices here are crazy here, be ready to spend a lot of money for very little weed. Staff isn't quite as helpful and as kind as you'd expect to be. Not much options of flower or anything at that. I'm from a non-legal state (Texas), so I attempt to visit as many dispensaries as I can in legal states. I was in CT and this was the closest adult use location. The staff and experience was all good. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Prices were a bit high, but you gotta go with the market price. My regular recreational go to. No stupid complaints about price- if you're walking into a rec facility you should know you're going to pay taxes. Yes, like everyone else I can get very good marijuana from very nice people on 'the street' for cheaper- and I do! But, I like having the full biological profile of the flower, concentrates that are more clinical in manufacturing, and occasionally a high end strain of flower that the street doesn't have. INSA has given me this consistently since they have opened. They usually have a decent variety and even on days they don't they at least will have 1-2 strains of flower that are much better than local recreational competition. The concentrates are pretty good as well. Every once in a while staff will have their moments....;-) but overall are friendly kids who do a good job of at least being nice to ppl- especially older patients or customers who may not understand certain things about the products. I do wish hours were a tad more 'extended' on both ends of the spectrum- ie: opening earlier and closing later, but I understand there may be internal reasons for that. Wait times for reserve ahead are almost non existent...off peak lines are usually short. Area is very nice. Parking is fine. read more

Sadly due to the -covid19 - I was isolating right after I renewed my license. because of that I couldn't make it to INSA in the 60 day period so they refused to honor giving me a coupon for $200 - like they normally do. Always have. Instead They offered 20% off -one time. Being disabled and unable to work, my budget is tighter than tight. As in poverty level.... this is uncalled for. The beverages set INSA above the other dispensaries as it was unique and popular and favored but by patients.
