The customer service skills the supposed head pharmacist Bryanna has are appalling. Not only was she extremely rude she was also unhelpful. She would not come to the counter to help us. Instead she sat at her table and chose to speak loudly. There was a line of people behind. She's unprofessional and has no problem violating my husbands privacy by choosing to be loud from her space. We left without the item he needed. This is a medication he is not supposed to miss. We will no longer use CVS and have talked with our family members who are changing pharmacies now also. Also- lots of great sales! However- CVS corporate listen up- pawning off your labor costs by making your customers handle their own transactions is bad for your bottom line. I have never been to a CVS with such poor customer service as the one in Greenfield, MA. They make no apologies for having one person working the pharmacy register while the line of customers (most being senior citizens) continues to wend its way through the aisles of vitamins and foot powders. When you make a complaint to a pharmacist, they offer you a blank stare and remain silent, as if their brain can only function at counting pills and dealing with bureaucracy. Avoid. I've had mixed experiences at this CVS pharmacy. During our first late-night visit to this CVS, a few years ago, to pick up prescriptions after an emergency room visit, the pharmacist was helpful and kind and straightened out a miscommunication with the hospital. Unfortunately, our most recent experience with this pharmacy was awful. We'd just spent 8 hours in the emergency room, and finally we were released and went to pick up the prescriptions that the doctor had called in. The associate at the counter told us that there would be a two-hour wait. We explained that my husband was in severe pain from a kidney stone and asked if it were possible to have it filled sooner. (There was no one else waiting.) She went to check with the pharmacist, then came back and said, no, it's two hours. We didn't know what to do. We politely explained that we lived far away and that my husband was in agony. She went and asked again. Still no. We didn't want to press any more, so we were about to go back to the car, to wait for two hours, when the associate decided on her own to ask again and had the pharmacist come over to talk with us. He said, "well, you should have called ahead." We explained that we had been in the emergency room and couldn't have called ahead (which he knew, because we'd already explained that to the associate). Then finally he said that he could have our prescriptions ready in under half-an-hour. We thanked him and were incredibly relieved. But, honestly, what if we had given up after the second try and waited in our car, my husband in agony (have you ever had a kidney stone?) for two hours when all along the pharmacist could have filled the prescription in under 30 minutes? I found that to be pretty callous. As I said, my other experiences at this pharmacy were good, so I guess it depends on who you get. Since this is the only 24-hour pharmacy in the area, I hope they can become more consistent in how they treat people. A little kindness goes a long way. read more

I stopped in here for a couple of items that I had run out of. Also, It was raining out, and I had not brought an umbrella on this trip, so I bought an umbrella here. Finally, I had left one of my prescription medications at home. So I called my Dr.'s office back in Virginia and they faxed a refill in to the pharmacy here. First, they are incompetent. Over time your closet will fill with pill bottles that they over-refill. They call the wrong doctors for refills, and don't tell you when they have not heard back from the wrong person, until you call asking about your refill. They just sent me two text messages regarding the same drug. The first said no refills until December 22. The second said your refill is ready. The staff is pompous and cruel. One even threatened me with calling the police because I insisted on waiting around until my 4 day late refill was ready. To say this CVS sucks is to give a bad name to other businesses that merely suck. Incompetent, rude, dirty store. Greenfield deserves better than this piece of shit. read more

It is nice to have a 24 hour store in town with such a great selection of items. This location is always well stocked, and generally everything is well organized. The staff is always really polite, and are willing to have a conversation with you as you are checking out. Sometimes the store can get extremely crowded, but that is generally during rush hours. When that is the case, the employees always call for additional cashiers, and make sure to get people in and out as fast as they can. read more

I cannot understand how a store so big can be so under staffed. It is a more common experience to wait 5-10 minutes in line than to get in and out. Their prices are borderline highway robbery and far out of line with the rest off the area, even accounting for the convenience surcharge. I used the pharmacy once, where a beyond rude woman yelled out the medication i was picking up so everyone could hear which was mortifying then offered no apology for her actions. Several of the employees barely speak English which makes getting assistance on the floor next to impossible. This might not be so bad if the store was not being constantly rearranged. Very rarely can I go there twice and find the same product in the same spot. Walgreens and Rite-Aid are both much more deserving of your business. read more

I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE experience in my life! I hate the self checkout! It's way too confusing and not handicap friendly. My niece who is special needs ask for a price check for a face mask that was at counter, the cashier walked passed without even looking my niece and told her to go to check it herself. Which would have meant she would have to leave the long line and do a self price check. Then the signs are confusing, up top where I could from six feet and from my wheelchair said cash and debit. All the others were taken, do I went to that one. When I got there it was debit only but I had cash. So now I'm REALY UPSET. I to get back in-line then check out. The was no one at the counter to take my money. I am now getting vocal, then and only the did someone come and ask what can I do for you, but in a very condescending way! I said this is not working! She again was not nice and repeated herself. She could see that I was in a wheelchair and my niece has special needs, told me if my attitude didn't change I would have to leave the store! Just picked up my order of a photo magnet. Awful. Not only were the colors way off (although I understand a little variation), but the picture itself had a long scuff on it, like from a roller. Then, the photo was stuck on crookedly, with two sides hanging off magnet and two sides with magnet exposed. Wow. Were they drunk, or do they care that little? I have had more trouble getting my prescriptions from this pharmacy than any other pharmacy I've gone to in 40 years. I am absolutely disgusted. I started using this because it was open 24 hours, and my work hours made it hard to get to another one. Ha! Just in the lat 10 months I've had to refill a prescription for my sister's epileptic 25-lb dog every month, because state law limits controlled substances to a one month supply. That's okay, because I know how many people have died of Oxycontin overdoses, of which THIS CVS was Franklin County's largest supplier. You's think with all the money they made from that, they could hire more staff. I've had robo calls telling me the pills would be ready only to get there and been told that it was out of stock (three times now). I've been told it was ready only to get there and be told I couln't have it because the prescription was expired, when my vet had just called in a new one -- I had to have the vet do it again, and no idea what went wrong. I've gotten there to discver that the 24-hour pharmacy was CLOSED FOR LUNCH, because apparently they are too cheap to hire enough people to keep it open the 24 hours they brag about, and was the reason I went there in the first place. I was insulted by a staff member (store, not pharacy) when I cmplained about this, and I wish I'd gotten her name. I had to wait for her to finish chit-chatting with a friend (obviously not a customer) before she deigned to talk to me. The cavalier disregard for customer service is infuriating. But they don't care -- as long as they rake in the money, it doesn't apparently matter to them how well they do. I'm retired now, and I wil stop being lazy and use a service-oriented, caring, competent pharmacy SOMEWHERE ELSE from now on. I just got a robocall asking me to supply insurance information -- IT'S A DOG!!! I FILLED THIS AT LEAST 8 TIMES BEFORE!!! -- and waited on hold 10 minutes before the robot told me there was no one available to help me, call back later. I didn't initiate the call in the first place!!!! Then I found another message saying the medication was out of stock -- AGAIN, after the robot said it would be ready tonight. This is the worst service I have ever gotten, not just one but nearly every other time I've filled this same prescription. I know, I should have gone elsewhere already, stupid me. Especially since they are outright liars advertising a "24-hour pharmacy!" Sick to death of this -- but not so much as all the Oxycontin overdoses they profited from, I guess. read more

A different pharmacist would tell me there would be a 30 minute wait, even though there was no one there. She would fill prescription after prescription, making me wait the full.wait time every time. Even one star is giving them way...... to much credit. This store believes they are the prescribing doctor's, and refuse to follow doctor's orders. When (and if) your prescription is filled they call and text you more than a dozen times per day harassing you to come pick it up... at which time sometimes it's actually ready sometimes you've wasted a trip that could have been handled over the phone. And let's not forget about the harassing texts one gets when their computer feels your prescription is ready for refills... sometimes medication is ordered as Take As Needed... But if 30 days have gone by... your guaranteed to get harassed multiple times a day until you reply to it... Even my family doesn't harass me as much as CVS does! Someone could be dying and I wouldn't get harassed at all, if be told about it, ONCE! and life would move on. Ok, so then when you go and pick your presciptions up (regardless of whether it's on time or a day or two later) you'll stand in line forever just to pick them up. As if your some sort of drug mule and they hold the key to unlocking all your fortunes. I would normally say it's because of superb customer service and every customer receiving it... But that is not the case with this store. They have lots of people working behind the desk and no one helping customers at all. Try using thier drive thru?.... well as usuall... waited for 10 min. and the line didn't move one car. I wasn't waiting for 4 more cars, so I went to the grocery store and did a quick shopping, 30 min later I returned to CVS drive thru and the same car was still sitting at the window! Two of the same cars that were there behind and now two new ones behind them...(obviously two of them got sick of waiting and did as I did and left). I waited this time for another 10min. the line didn't move at all! I gave up! I got home and guess who was calling me to remind me for the 75th time in two days that my prescription was ready and waiting for my immediate pick up... this time they added.... before your prescription is returned to the shelf. I was sick of this harassment and was going to do something about it in the AM. And then this morning came and low and behold I had yet an other text and a phone message waiting for me from CVS pharmacy.... I called them up and and asked them politely to transfer all MY prescriptions to a small town pharmacy 20min away (and out of my way) but they said I can't transfer MY OWN prescriptions, but that I'd need the pharmacist to call them to transfer them for me... yes, my own prescriptions.... as if they own them! And let's just say they got a piece of my mind and how I felt about them and their service. Giving a diabetic and cancer patient such a hard time about getting their medication. I wouldn't recommend this company to cat that got into my trashcan. My recommendation.... find yourself a small town pharmacy, the ones that actually treat you like a community member not some sort of dependent drug seeker. read more

Horrible. Rude pharmacy staff, overpriced health and beauty products. Only came here because it's the only 24 hour pharmacy in our county. I only purposely shop here if I have coupons. They have a nice looking establishment, well lit inside, as a drive through pharmacy. I WARN patients, I have been approached after buying prescriptions in the parking lot, by strangers seeking narcotics. Scared the wits out of me as I round the front of my suv and a guy was leaning against my rear passenger's door. I fumbled with my pocketbook, keys, CVS bag trying to get in my suv. I was out of there! Took my colonoscopy prep prescriptions with me! I would avoid this shady establishment if not an emergency and wait it out for Walgreen's a hop-skip-n-jump down the same street. If you want a modern pharmacy with a personalized touch, and don't require drive through services, I recommend Rite-Aid in Turners Falls, MA. It's not even 5 minutes away. read more

Had to make several calls between doctor and them to get my prescription 2 days after it was confirmed as received by the physician (minute clinic 20 feet away from the pharmacy). Best pharmacy in town. Almost always have medications in stock (I have many health problems and am sometimes prescribed uncommon medications) and if they don't, they order them very quickly. The drive-through is pleasant, fast, and convenient. Plus they always are very friendly to my toddler in the backseat and give her stickers. Great selection of products such as vitamins and supplements. Used the minute clinic one time as recommended by my doctor for some immunizations and the woman working was extremely nice and very knowledgable. The only con to CVS is the crazy amount of automated phone calls. If I have a prescription ready, I will sometimes get 4 calls in one day to notify me. However, in the end the pros outweigh the cons for sure. read more

Pharmacy service sucks here. There were two open registers and I was the 4th in line when I got there to pick up a prescription. A third register opened. I thought, good, the line is moving. This will be quick so I can get on with the rest of my errands during my lunch hour. Well, after taking care of just 1 customer, the third register closed. There were 2 people still in front of me but they quickly got called to the other 2 registers. OK, I thought, this is still going good. When it was my turn up, the second register closed (apparently to go to lunch). She told me someone will be right with me so I mistakenly thought that the third register would reopen. Oh no. It didn't. I even made eye contact with the girl! The first register was still occupied by her customer who she was doing a good job helping. Other pharmacy staff was looking my way. A guy who looked like a manager (because he was dressed differently) in a green shirt made eye contact with me a couple times. I KNOW he noticed that I was standing there for a while. I was beginning to feel invisible. Finally, the first register was open and I picked up my husband's prescription. The management of the staff in the pharmacy at the Greenfield, MA CVS is pathetic! They should gear their employees towards helping customers and cutting the wait times down. If you they are short staffed, then hire more people. Pretty much what I saw going on behind the counter was nothing but laziness and reluctance to wait on customers (with the exception of the first register who was left by herself to wait on customers). Well, don't worry, CVS staff, you will have fewer and fewer customers. Just keep up the shitty service. I spoke with my husband and he will be moving his prescriptions to Walgreens. read more
