I had a very disappointing and unsafe experience at Deer Valley Trailers. I brought my trailer in to have the jack repaired. The team had me remove my off-road vehicle from the trailer, they took the trailer into the shop, and then later placed the trailer back onto my vehicle -- but did not latch or secure it. This was never communicated to me, and it is not stated anywhere in their paperwork. Several employees stood outside and watched while I began loading my off-road vehicle back onto the trailer, and no one warned me that the trailer had not been secured. As soon as weight went onto the trailer, it shifted forward and hit my SUV, causing damage to the rear of the vehicle. When I brought this to their attention, the business took no responsibility and said it was "their policy" not to latch trailers, even though they still placed it on my vehicle. The owner, Mike Pauly, also showed no interest in helping resolve the situation. While I acknowledge that I should have double-checked the latch myself, I reasonably expected a professional trailer shop to communicate safety risks and not return a trailer to a customer in an unsecured condition. The lack of communication and accountability was extremely disappointing, and I would caution others to be very careful when doing business here. read more

Customer service was AWESOME. That ladies in the office were friendly and efficient. I pulled my trailer to the back gate and the techs were there to greet me and check out the issue with my boat trailer. They did a quick electrical diagnostic. The whole repair took less than 2 hours. The cost was very reasonable. I strongly recommend this place if you need work on your trailer. read more

We've been looking for a new trailer for quite a while to hold all of our toys and decided to stop by Deer Valley Trailer this weekend. There is a office attached, but there is an opening onto the lot to look at the trailers so we walked directly on to the lot not knowing you should go through the office first to let someone know you may need help. I wish we'd of known because we wandered in the heat for thirty minutes before going to search someone put to purchase the trailer. I did realize they are mechanics out there and not salespeople so they weren't focused on possible customers. I'd give four stars though for the service once inside and their apologies for not realizing we were there. It was a breeze to purchase, helped us hook up and even paid a little extra to have them register it for me and save me a trip to the dreaded DMV. So, Sunday 7/13 I was towing my Chaparral Sunesta 274 to Lake Pleasant. Along the way, I completely smoked one of my spindles. I just took off the wheel, strapped up the axel and went to the lake anyways for the night. Monday morning when I got off the Lake I called Deer Valley Trailer and told them what happened and they said bring it on in and we can get you fixed up within 3 or 4 days. So, I dropped it off Monday about noon. They called me Tuesday morning, explained the damage and my options for repair. Tuesday afternoon they called me and said it was all done, like WOW! Today (Wednesday) I went in to pick it up. I looked at the wheel and they did a great job fixing it so I was very happy about that. But, just when they were moving it out of the repair area to the street I noticed the trailer jack was bent way over like 25 degrees or so and when I tried to crank it, of course it wouldn't work at all so somebody had bent it while moving it within the repair yard. I wasn't happy about it but I was just going to go into the office and buy a new jack. When I got in the office, the Manager had already caught wind of the issue and before I could even say anything he told me the new jack was "on them" and they would put the new one on right now at no cost at all. I couldn't believe it! Yes, it's what they should have done and I get that BUT the fact that I didn't need to get pissed off and raise my blood pressure before they did the right thing was REALLY appreciated. I have used them many times in the past to repair my trailers but this is the first time I have written a review. Worst customer service period. If you want to go to a place that likes to disrespect you, go here. They false advertise on their marketing site and make excuses why they can't be factual about their services and pricing. They brag about how much they sell each week. They take over talk you when you are working with them and they send their parts associates, instead of their sales associates and no wonder nobody knows what the hell they are talking about when it comes to their trailers because nobody is on the same page!!! .....Whew! Go to Trailers Plus and don't waste time and money with these guys. I got the exact same trailer, wayyyy better quality at the same price, but they actually treated me like a human!!!!! Hate to pile on here but I've tried twice to buy a car hauler from them and both times the lady that answers the phone and calls herself a sales person is a joke. Called today at 906 am. They open at 9 on Saturdays. Press 3 for sales, lady days she doesn't know inventory and can't tell me any prices. I love in flagstaff so the 1.5 hour drive had got to be worth it. At 1pm I was drive past dvtrailer to go buy from someone that answered and knew their inventory. I called her just incase she lost my number. Nope, she says I'm on her list to call but she still didn't have the info. They close at 2. No way was I getting the trailer I needed from them. So i spent my time and money elsewhere. I took my damaged aluminum trailer to Deer Valley that needed the electrical connection repaired as well as the chains. They told me it would be ready in 3 or 4 days. The next day I got a call that my trailer was ready. i picked it up and the price they charged was surprising. The work was perfect (even better than the new trailer) and the charge was really incredibly low. I could not be more pleased with the company, the work and their friendly, professional attitude. I purchased a 20' Look enclosed trailer from them a few weeks ago. I didn't catch his name, but the younger gentleman in the yard, was a great help. He spent at least an hour with me explaining everything. Even when i had trouble getting the trailer work lights to go on, he came out to my truck, and ran a diagnostic. It turned out to be that ford did not instal a relay in the fuse box. If i ever buy another trailer, i would not hesitate to do business with them again. Very straight forward people, and easy to deal with. I was hesitant at going, as they have a 1 star review (which was clearly wrong), but i am glad i did. Highly recommended!!! read more

On 6-28-21 I went to Deer Valley Trailer to get my trailer looked at and repaired. (I had called ahead to make sure they could get to the trailer and have it ready for my departure date). I explained to Paul that I was going to tow my second hand 2007 car hauler across the country and wanted the trailer checked out and road worthy for the trip. I asked for the brakes, brake lights and wiring to be checked out. (pack or replace the bearings, weld on new chains and new ramp tabs. These items were completed and appear to be fine). I received a call the following day from Paul saying that the brakes looked good (hardly used), and the bearings just needed packing, he stated that there was no breakaway kit (for the brakes) on the trailer. I agreed to pay for the breakaway kit with installation. Four days later I called to check on the status of the trailer, they would have to call me back, they did. Later that day around 4pm, I picked up the trailer and as we were driving away a warning came up on the dashboard that the trailer brakes weren't connected. We came back to the shop, Paul said that the brakes needed to be rewired as the housing holding the wires was damaged and causing a short. He said it would be 10 days before they could get to it (This was Saturday they were going to be closed Sunday and Monday and I was scheduled to leave Tuesday)! I was forced to rewire the brakes myself. I asked that the brakes be checked and operational. It appears that no one checked to see if the brakes actually worked! I sent an email to Deer Valley Trailer 7-13-21 as of today 7-27-21 they have not sent a reply or called. There are more than 30 trailer repair shops in the Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa area. I would recommend going to one of them. One very disappointed former customer. P. S. The 2 chain retainers that you charged me $19.98 for I found online for $2.99 each! 66.5% mark up. read more

I was in need of a 24 foot open utility trailer and saw the posting on craigslist that shows it was available so I gave them a call and they told me they will not have any available for 6 weeks? As I speaking with the sales rep I pulled up the Deer Valley Trailer website and it also showed 2 available which he stated they try to get customers to call in to pre-order? I needed a trailer to haul the wife's car across the country (as well as the rest of our stuff)... I was on a timeline and needed it within 6 weeks and so I thought I was stuck with what was on the lots. Luckily I found these guys... Katy was super helpful and got me a custom trailer built and delivered in a month as well as doing it for about 4k less than the lots in Mesa. Their location isn't pretty... but running with low overhead allows them to sell cheap. Mitchell (I think) helped check me out in it before I pulled away and was a great guy. I would say no stars. They advertised on Craigs List a Playcraft 8' x 16' utility trailer for 1599.00. The pictures in the ad showed the trailer had a ramp or gate. When I got there, they told me that the ad was a mistake, the trailer advertised did not come with a gate. Totally misleading ad. They would not honor the price they advertised. I checked to see if the ad was still up on Craigslist and it is. EPIC FAIL!! I will not buy anything from these guys, they are not running an honest business. Funny thing too, at the bottom of their ads, they quote a Bible verse, John 3:16. Don't think I was handled in a Christian-like manner AT ALL. read more

Trusted that the used trailer I purchased was ready to hit the road. I'm not a trailer pro but got halfway through my trip and the one tire blow out. Got it fixed the next day and the guy told me they were dry rotted. Got back on the road and another one blow out, in total spending $300. Called Katie and she didn't want to refund any funds for selling me a unsafe trailer with bad tires. Just bad business! I would of been better off buying off craigslist, but thought I was doing right by buying from a dealership. Very disappointed. Brought a large box trailer in to have repaired on Sat. After I unloaded they pulled it into the gated area. Monday afternoon I called to see it they had been able to work on it or get any information (Sat I was told they had quite a few jobs in front of it) At this time I was told the trailer was to tall to fit under the bay so they did not want to do the work on it ( a hub) and they had left a message to that effect. No message no call nothing. We took here as it was close to where the hub had received damage. Bad decision. Will never recommend this place. Very poor customer relations. Why did they have me leave the trailer if they were not going to work on it? When I went back to return a part that I had purchased there was another customer really really mad also. This trailer company is very unprofessional. The employees working didn't have much info about any of their trailers. Luckily there was a customer picking up a similar trailer I was looking for and he was nice enough to give me a ton of details including what he paid. When I went into their trailer office the lady working the front was extremely rude! She gave me the price out the door and said absolutely NO negotiation. The price was $600 higher then the guys invoice with tax and perm tags. She definitely knew the customer told me what he paid and was just being a total bitch! lame company, there prices look good initially in ads but they dont include the fact that there are several hundred dollars to add to there great looking price for all sorts of hidden costs you would assume were included. I could see not including tax but basically they price them in ads for the most stripped down, can't even actually drive away with it unless you spend another 600 bucks price, its unethical.why not just put what the dang thing actually costs to pull it away? if you buy a lightly used trailer you will get a way better price even though they advertise "new trailers for less than the cost of a used one." not true at all.the one I wanted was advertised as $1800 but what they dont tell you is that would be ONLY if you are paying cash ,no brakes, no tags,no title,tax not included ect...I dont even know if they include the tires....probably not. so my 1800 dollar trailer was actually like $2400+ then Im shown a used one that meets my needs even better than the one I first saw(they were very reluctant to show me anything used)I like it and want to get it , but then it conveniently turns out it is already sold so they lead me back to some shit that is $3500 (plus probably another $600 to $800 in hidden costs) and tell me that's the new version of the used one I liked....I doubt it was even sold they just thought they could get more money from me. they got nothing from me and will never.these guys are trash dont buy from them,. read more
