Including the 1x fee I was able to move in for less than $80 The storage site was very clean. Overall the business is well organized very user friendly easy in easy out. No hassle. The only cons to this place is the main office being separate from the actual storage location. I was pre-warned about the mice before I moved in and asked what type of storage containers I had. I said cute decorative boxes. I was encouraged to store in plastic containers so the mice wouldn't get to them. I followed suit. Stored my things for a few months. No mice in sight, but grateful for the heads up. That shows integrity. I know we don't want to believe it but there are going to be critters @ any storage place. That's why they offer insurance -in case anything happens. I know it sounds like a fake post but seriously with good organization and great customer service, you'll win my heart any day.

1 Star I have been a…read morePublic Storage customer since 2023, and the constant rent increases have finally driven me to leave. I started at $129/month. Since then, my rent has increased as follows: $129 $146 $177 $208 $219 $252 and now $292/month. That means my monthly rent has gone from $129 to $292 in about three years -- an increase of more than 126%. What is especially frustrating is how frequently these increases occur. The first came after only about six months, followed by additional increases roughly 9 months, 12 months, 9 months, 3 months, and 8 months later. I understand that businesses occasionally need to raise prices, and a reasonable annual increase would be understandable. But repeatedly increasing the rent on an existing customer to this extent is excessive. A unit that was affordable when I moved in has more than doubled in price. At this point, I have had enough and am moving my belongings elsewhere. If you are considering Public Storage, I strongly recommend that you do not base your decision only on the advertised move-in rate. Ask what you can realistically expect to pay after 6 months, 12 months, and two years. My experience shows that the initial price may bear very little resemblance to what you will eventually be charged.

Okay, so this place isn't perfect. the buildings are run down and while I haven't had any problems…read morewith water leakage onto my stuff I have seen slight water damage in walls of vacant units and buckets do reside on the floors in hallways during the rainy season so clearly the roof has issues--in our building at least. There are no elevators to speak of, but they do have a forklift to lift stuff to the second floor if you need it. The attendant is a a very nice guy, but often a bit hard to find. He rarely stays in the office. However, just a honk of your horn and he usually comes a running so its only slightly annoying. I wish they had some extended hours beyond 5 p.m., but they will stay late for you for a nominal fee, which I haven't needed to avail myself of because my schedule is pretty flexible and I can get there early enough to be out by 5 (or 4 on Sun.).. I also wish they had a drop box outside the gate so you could drop a payment off after hours, but alas the drop box is just outside the office just inside the gates. Now, you may be reading and think, wow she really thinks this place sucks, but no--far from it. Despite a few little shortcomings these negatives are greatly outweighed by their very budget-minded rates. Having heard from friends and neighbors about storage rates at most other facilities around Marin, I can tell you A Self Storage is a steal. You want to go to one of those pretty places with elevators, nice little hand trucks and sparkling facilities? Fine, go. but you'll pay through the nose for all the bells and whistles. A Self Storage is half the cost of some of those other places. So its your choice: pay high rates to give your extraneous belongings a really nice home or pay a few measly bucks to stash your stuff?

She very clearly just didn't like me and gave me a BS reason why she just didn't want my business. Very clearly only renting to people off of a personal bases as she obviously just took my name off of their waiting list. I thought this was illegal? My advice, don't call back to check in and tell her what she wants to hear. Lie if you have to as she is not a nice women and will judge you and rent to you based on that judgement.
