This place was amazing. The food/drinks were delicious, great ambiance, great service. Will definitely go here again!

Rakhat was an amazing waiter. Lamb shank was great and the dessert too. Was great for a date night.

If you want a true taste of Georgia, this place is a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel like home. Every dish was clearly made with love and authenticity. The wine list featured excellent Georgian selections that paired beautifully with the food. Cozy and yet contemporary atmosphere, attentive service, and flavors that transport you straight to Tbilisi and other Georgian regions. Highly recommended! read more

Deda Restaurant - Bar - Georgian Near Me - Pasadena, California

For the first time in seven years, I experienced the harmony and taste of real Georgia!!! The chic and welcoming DEDA restaurant in Posadena. And most importantly, I was fortunate enough to meet the restaurant's owners, Tamaz Jr., his mother, and his father, Tamaz Sr. They are very kind and hospitable people and true Georgians. read more

Deda Restaurant - Georgian Near Me - Pasadena, California

Food was ok. Ordered the boat cheese bread, it was good and the only thing I liked. The three dips lack flavor, and you can actually count the 7 chips you get with it. The meat dumplings were too salty. Did not enjoyed the cheese dumplings. Nice ambience, ok service. Overpriced for what you get and if you request sour cream on the side, there will be an extra charge for a small amount! Not a fav. spot. read more

We had an 8:00 PM reservation but weren't seated until around 8:15 PM. Once seated, we were greeted by a kind and attentive waitress who gave us thoughtful recommendations and genuinely tried to provide a good experience. Unfortunately, several things went wrong: * When I went to the women's restroom, there was no toilet paper and no soap. I informed a front desk staff member, who told me she couldn't help because she was "in the middle of something." I said I'd wait if she could have someone bring what was needed, but she instead told me to go check the men's restroom and use that instead. I ended up doing that -- but only after my husband went in to make sure it was empty and stood by while I used it, since it is not a unisex restroom. The situation was uncomfortable and highly unprofessional, especially in a restaurant environment where cleanliness is basic hospitality. * Before our main courses arrived, we stepped outside briefly and let our waitress know we'd be back in a few minutes. When we returned, our half-finished appetizers had been cleared away without our consent, and only the empty bread basket remained. This felt intrusive and careless. * One of our wine glasses had visible lipstick on it. The waitress quickly replaced it and apologized. * While our appetizers tasted OK, we requested additional bread that never came. Our Georgian lemonade also didn't arrive until we reminded the staff. * The biggest disappointment was the main dishes, which were not authentic Georgian food. True Georgian cuisine is known for its bold spices, deep flavors, and rich textures. What we were served tasted more like generic Mediterranean food, lacking the distinct spices and traditional flavor profiles that make Georgian food so unique and satisfying. We also ordered "wagyu" khinkali, which seemed more like a pricing tactic than a culinary improvement. Especially when khinkali is not made with Wagyu beef. Authentic khinkali are juicy and full of flavor -- these were dry and underwhelming. * We asked for napkins multiple times and never received them. * When we finished, we had to wait again for the bill, which was frustrating after so many issues. To be clear, our waitress did her best, and we truly appreciated her kindness and effort. But overall, this visit was disappointing, especially for our first time. The lack of attention to basic hygiene, the unprofessional handling of guest concerns, and the lack of authentic Georgian flavors were unacceptable -- and for the quality of food, the prices felt inflated. This review is written for the owners and management, in hopes that future guests will have a better experience. With stronger training, more oversight, and a commitment to authentic Georgian cuisine, this place has potential -- but it's not there yet. read more

Wonderful service and delicious food! I've never had Georgian food before. After this experience I will definitely come back again!

We arrived at 5 on MLK Day (Monday) without reservations. I was I little miffed that we were not seated right away in a virtually empty restaurant because we did not have reservations. We waiting about 15 minutes and we were seating at a lovely table. The restaurant is beautiful with small lamps at each table. We had an adorable Waiter from Kazakhstan, and we went with the waiters recommendations. Everything we had tasted amazing! They even threw in the house dessert for my birthday. If you want to try something new this is the place! Make reservation though. By the time we left the restaurant was packed! read more

First time going to Deda yesterday on a date night and will definitely be our only time. The ambiance was nice and festive, however, service was horrible. Took about 25 mins just to get the waitress to the table and then once we ordered our starters took another 20 minutes to get her attention again so we could order our main dishes. It wasn't even a busy night so I could not make an excuse for the poor service. The food was okay, although the next day(today) my husband and I are not feeling well. Our stomachs have been super upset all day and the only thing that we ate differently yesterday was Deda. read more

Nice place, nice ambiance, good service, delicious food. Great desert! Good wine!!

This was my and my family's first visit to the restaurant "Deda", thank you for making us feel at home, which is very important for people living in emigration. Most expensive place to eat dumplings, it is outrageous $5.50 each dumpling, food was very bland and it wasn't what I expected at all from all the advertising they made. 4 people eating dumplings and few appetizers over $600.00 and not including tip you want dumplings go to Dumpling house in Glendale much much better flavor and lots cheaper, I am not the person paying for decor of your place yes it looks good but don't start a new business by ripping off people who are already having hard times. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back here again. I took my friends to Kenkali house in Glendale 4 of us ate drank until we couldn't eat no more and bill came out to $270 now that is a bargain. read more

Deda is a great spot for some authentic Georgian food. They put a lot of love in making their food and it shows. They have a lot of different items but I honestly just go there for the khinkali. I've had their beef and cheese versions both fired and non-fried. It tastes very home-made and is always of high-quality. I've had their megruli (cheese bread) as well and it's also very very good. Their wine options are also very good. Overall, for the value and the amazing atmosphere, it is a must try. Service is amazing too and they also validate your parking if you park in the structure. Definitely recommend! read more

Have very little experience with Georgian food, but was told in Russia that it was the best cuisine. Delighted to see it open so close to home. On arrival, we found the decor and the overall atmosphere enchanting, the staff all delightful and helpful, and the food wonderful. We 3 ordered 3 meals and shared everything. Our favorite was probably the eggplant salad. Can't wait to go back. Tho will probably try some other Russian/Georgian/Armenian places to compare. read more

I was very interested in this restaurant, however, I was first introduced by the Host and mentioned my reservation. I arrived 2 minutes before my appointment date. They had said they were cleaning a table for us and only till 30 minutes later where the other host mentioned they had thought we were waiting for a spot and not reserved when we came in and checked in. After being sat after a long time sitting down despite having a reservation, we were greeted by a nice waiter. Some time passed and our waiter had to leave and pass on somebody else to us. But after he left not a single time did anyone else come back and ask us anything or bring desert etc. I had to get out of my seat to the front to ask for my check. I left an unfortunate tip just because in my honesty I didn't really like the service. But yes again this might have been just an unfortunate coincidence that is why I'm just sharing my experience. Some of the food wasn't good at all but some was alright. I don't think I'd come back here again. I definitely feel In n out the fast food restaurant would have been a way better choice. Honestly I would give 0 starts but I feel generous. read more
