I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, the overall experience was…read moredisappointing. The food was decent, but nothing particularly spectacular, and I was hoping for a more authentic Uzbek-Tajik dining experience.
We arrived around 3 p.m. only to find out they had already run out of lamb manti. To make matters worse, we were given an outdated menu and told that the actual prices would be different from those listed. As a customer, I find that frustrating. I expect to know the price of each dish before placing an order, and it's odd to be presented with a menu that doesn't reflect the current pricing.
We ordered the samsa, beef plov, and lule kebab. At $6 each, the samsa felt overpriced. Although they were generously sized, they appeared overbaked and almost burnt on the outside. The beef plov was underwhelming, lacking flavor, and the portion was quite small for the price. The highlight was definitely the lule kebab, which tasted the freshest of everything we tried. It was juicy, flavorful, and easily the best dish of the meal.
Service was also surprisingly slow, especially considering there were barely any other customers in the restaurant.
Overall, the food was good enough, but nothing that stood out, and the experience fell short of my expectations. Between the outdated menu, unclear pricing, limited availability, and slow service, I left feeling disappointed. I had really been looking forward to this place, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the anticipation.
