//5 stars for great quality I needed to a refurbishment of my deck with a short deadline to meet the HOA deadline. At first when I contacted them, they could not promise the time line. However the opposite happened. They came by on a super hot day (2 guys) did not even ask for the deposit. They started working on the deck, removed several dead planks. I gave them water because I felt bad to see them work hard at a very hot weather. After removing the planks. They proceeded to power wash the deck. I don't have deck stairs so they lifted the heavy power wash to the deck and washed the whole thing. At the end I gave them their deposit which they were ok waiting for me to get it from the bank. Cut to several days later due to constant rain, they started to replace the planks and repaint. I was not home. They came and did am amazing job. After the job is done, I contacted them to coordinate to pay them the full price. They were trusting which means they are trusting with their job as well. I would hire them again for another job but for now, I hope this helps others. read more

I never make negative yelp reviews. I only like to comment when I have a good experience, but I feel compelled to comment on this company. I got a quote from Deck Armor for repairing the railing on my deck and power washing the deck and patios. I let them know that I was having a gathering in my back yard in a couple of weeks so wanted to get the power washing in right away but the deck repairs could be later if needed. It was unclear from the company's communication whether they were going to be able to schedule me within my time frame and said they would send me a contract the middle of the following week with the date. I never heard from them, so looked for an alternative for the power washing and found someone who quoted me 1/3 of the cost! I decided to move forward the new company for power washing and went back to Deck Armor to let them know I only wanted the deck repair due to my time constraints (this was a FULL week after they quoted me and 2 days after they said they would send a contract and confirm the dates! I had not heard from them). The sales rep almost immediately texted back and said it would be the full price quoted regardless even though I removed half of the work. When I pushed back, he quoted my text from a week ago back to me that I wanted to move forward with the service--like I was locked in when they never sent anything in writing. So not only did they not get back to me when they said they would after I was clear that I had a time constraint, but then had the nerve to refuse to do the deck repair work for the price they quoted me. I feel like I really dodged a bullet with not going with this company. I'm completely shocked they have such high reviews. Avoid them at all costs! read more

I found their screening experience and customer service approach deficient. they do a call first after you contact on their website and are fairly pushy about your being prepped for it. The call was challenging because the person spoke too fast and mumbled and was civil at best. I sent a polite text and email canceling an in person consult because their pricing was too high for my deck resurfacing. and they made a big point of emailing me and telling me that regrettably they had to cancel. that last part was just strange. I found the customer service just lacking and high end of pricing. read more

This experience for me was terrific. Good Quote, detailed and fair. Amazing timeliness, ( right in schedule) respectful of the landscape and high-quality product and installation. I do recommend these guys read more

I wasn't going to provide reviews but I kept receiving requests from them. I would have given a Zero rating if I could. A number of issues immediately after the repair and restoration, including paint bubbles, etc. Jim insisted on they were not problems despite of the fact he had to come back and fix the issues. But the worst part is that the deck posts (over 20 years old) were all rotten at the time of this repair, to such an extent the deck was at risk of collapsing - I have the pictures to prove. Deck Armor did not mention a thing and just painted over them. Other contractors discovered it when working around the deck. When I talked Jim, he just brushed it off and said no concerns, it was going to last 10-15 more years. I finally got another contractor to replace them and found the conditions of the post just horrifying - the deck was at risk to collapse any time! In fact, one side of the deck was sinking and deck was leaning to the extent we could see it. Again, we raised the issue to Jim and was told no issue what so ever. We have replaced all the posts since then and we now feel safe. But this was an extraordinary experience. I would not recommend Deck Armor for any major repairs and restoration. read more

No matter the quality of the work, no one should do business with an owner who is arrogant, curt, and dismissive. If I had known how rude Jim was before his team began to destroy my old deck, I would not have done business with Deck Armor. Jim leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to professionalism and quality, respectful customer service. As I selected the materials for my deck, several times Jim mentioned "that's expensive". I've wondered to myself several times, was my experience a matter of racism? I am truly sorry that I did business with this company. After completing my deck, Jim's team left building materials and debris in my yard for more than week. In addition, one of the company trucks left an oil stain on my driveway. I strongly recommend that you find another company. read more

Unequivocally impressive work, unmatched commitment to quality. Consistently met and exceeded expectations and commitments. The Deck Armor crew worked tirelessly to complete my deck ahead of schedule and did an amazingly beautiful job on my very large deck. I was amazed at the quality and thoroughness of the preparation and perfect execution of the work. The extensive carpentry work they did to repair my deck was top notch quality as well. If you are looking for someone to refinish a deck, no matter how large or small the job, look no further than Deck Armor! read more

Deck Armor provided clear communication throughout the process from the start of the quote toward the completion of the project. Their team were punctual for all the arrangements and completed my deck on time. Once the project was completed and inspected to pass their quality process, I had a few concerns with some minor cosmetic issues due to severe thunderstorm, the owner addressed it for me no questions asked. It is challenging finding for company with good communication, good timeliness, and quality services in this line of work. But Deck Armor certainly is providing top in class quality on their services and values in their work. read more

I deeply regret dealing with this company. Jim (Owner) cannot build a deck only takes the job and relies on the Spanish contractors. If he hires good ones, you will get good work and if he hires cheap, you are screwed. read more

The Deck Armor team blew us away! Even during the current crisis, Jim and his team were able to communicate easily and quickly. We did a huge job over e-mail and the end result is nothing short of stunning. Really stunning. Our old, weathered, deck looked hideous. It's a very large, two level deck, and the Deck Armor team nailed it. The cost was totally within what others were charging, but thankfully we chose the best team. They have a lot of colors and packages to chose from that's best for your deck and wallet. Cannot say enough praise. read more

Great work on building us a beautiful deck! I recommend Deck Aror for your deck services.

Could not be happier with the result. This was a very old patio painted grey. It's like a new home.

These guys did a great job on our deck. It was in rough shape and they had the best estimate to get the work done. Deck armor was very responsive to all of our questions leading up to the job. read more

Deck Armor did a great job on our new fence. They were very thorough in cleaning and applying the exact stain and sealer that we wanted. They also use the best quality products. So, the stain will last for years. read more

Deck armor did a fantastic job on restaining my deck. We moved into the house and inherited an old, strangely structured deck. Since we don't have the money right now to redo it, we figured restaining would help hide some of the weirdness. Jim and his team were very responsive, answered all of my questions promptly and showed up when they said they would. My only annoyance was scheduling- since it is weather dependent, you have to be very flexible. But overall, I'm thrilled with the job they did! read more

I was very satisfied with the work performed. Deck Armor came out to the location meet with me and review the job ensuring we were on the same page. This allowed me to put in place my expectations around time to complete the job and possible delays due to rainy days. With this understanding we paid our deposit and waited for the magic. A few days later the work began and I must admit I was nervous as they took part the deck replacing bad wood with new wood. We had a short conversation in the middle of the process at which time they reminded us to exercise patience as the work was in progress and we should wait til the end. We waited til the end and the deck is Good to Go! The new deck is nothing like the old one. Transformed is the operative word. Thank you for your good work. read more

We were very nervous about the deck project for our new home. Those concerns quickly disappeared once we decided to use Deck-Armor. This is our third home and we have done home improvement projects of various sizes (windows, decks, additions, etc.) on each. I wish we had discovered Deck-Armor years ago for our deck projects. In short, they were awesome! In particular, we love the new deck. Going forward, Deck-Armor will be getting all of our home deck improvement/remodeling business. Jim was very knowledgeable and professional !! Thank you so much to all the guys of Deck-Armor !! read more

Deck Armor did a great job cleaning, staining, and sealing my deck. It looks brand new. I highly recommend Deck Armor.

Deck Armor did an outstanding job refinishing our deck on our townhome. They were professional, timely, and communicated throughout the entire process. Definitely recommend! read more

I had a bad experience working with this company. The owner of the company made many claims and promises about the work. I hired them to refinish my deck and was told it would last for 20 or 30 years and that they would be responsible for the longevity of my deck due to the amazing warranty. In less than 3 years there were rotting boards and the paint was peeling. I believe they knew certain boards were prone to rot and just painted over them. They said they would tighten up all the posts on my railing and they never did that at all...the posts are still loose and coming off. I contacted them to come back and fix the problems advising the company that they could come on any date and at any time. Yet they will not schedule the repair with me. I paid extra for the so-called "premium package" because it included the 10 year warranty. This company has little integrity and consumers should not believe all of the claims that they make. read more

Deck Armor did a fabulous job painting my deck and fence. The process was painless, the price was fair, and when the day came for them to paint, they got the job done so quickly and it looked great. I'm so satisfied I used Deck Armor for this job, and I will definitely use them again when the time comes for me to have my deck and fence repainted. read more

After shopping for a good deck company with my husband, we finally decided to give this one a shot. We opted for the composite finish process with acrylic stain which is easy to maintain (I can hose it down no problem and the kids get no splinters). We loved the guy who did our estimate, he was very polite and we felt like he wasn't just trying to get us to spend as much money as possible. My neighbor is getting his deck done this year, I will definitely recommend Jim and his team to him. read more

Was told by several contractors that I should have my old deck demolished and replaced. The quotes I was given were extremely high. I contacted Deck Armor LLC after seeing their advertisement in the several magazines . Was very pleased with the quote - fraction of the cost to rebuild. Was even more pleased with the results. Looks better than when it was new. Was also very impressed with the professionalism of the crew read more

Jim and his team did a great job on my deck at a reasonable price. Would recommend highly if you're looking to extend the life of your deck!

I could not be happier with the price, speed, and quality of work by Deck Armor. A few other pros thought my deck was a lost cause. Others wanted to charge me twice as muchh to restore it. No one was available to even start for a month and i needed it dive quickly to sell my house. Deck Armor got it done and with expertise and in only a couple days! read more

Knowledgeable, flexible service, right from the start! We needed to hit a completion date on very short notice and had an earlier estimate from these guys so called them. Despite the challenging weather and short time-frame at the height of the season, the Deck Armor crew finished the project with several days to spare. In doing so they were successful in turning the clock back on an 18 year-old deck that needed considerable work. Great carpentry and surface treatments to restore the deck, in several cases better than when it was originally installed. Not the cheapest of the companies we priced, but reasonable for the quality that was delivered. read more

Let me start off by saying this contractor needs a lesson on how to treat people. Just because I don't do what he does for a living doesn't mean I have no idea of what I'm talking about. After seeing the job he did with my deck restoration I was extremely disappointed in the overall look of it. Jim insisted that this was the best that could be done with my deck though it looked barely better than it did before. Needless to say I won't be recommending him to my friends and neighbors. read more

Extremely pleased with the deck. The technicians were very efficient and very experienced with refurbishing the deck.

I used their services. They were great and very responsive to issues and problems. I'd highly recommend them, they did an outstanding job. Jim the owner, though very busy is very responsive. His workers are hard working and dedicated to doing a great job. Totally please with their work. We have a large deck, we had semi transparent stain; which required two coats. Cost was 2500.00, outstanding. read more

We just had our deck washed and treated and a railing replaced. The work was top notch and the finished product was beautiful.

They did my deck in two days. First day was to clean and wash the deck. The second day was to apply the protection and then color the deck. The work was done professionally. It was obvious they knew what they were doing and did it well. The deck looks great and the price was good too. read more
