Disappointed. I grew up with Deas. Best burgers ever. I have always missed them since I havnt lived in the area for years. Whenever I am in the area I make a point to stop by. I haven't been there in a few years. What happened?! Burger had no flavor.bun was horrible. Dry fell apart. If you're looking for the old Dea's that used to be wonderful, you're going to be disappointed. Dry, tasteless burgers with wilted lettuce that seemed to have been made hours before we ordered. Fries from the bottom of the bag, tiny little bits tasting almost rancid, probably old oil. We won't be returning. Apparently there's a new owner. What a loss for Gresham. read more

the best milkshakes in town. we usually do the drive thru and last night was the first time sitting inside. we ordered a long burger and a mushroom burger with fries and tots. our order came out quickly despite it being very busy inside. the drive thru line was long as well. all if the staff was friendly and polite, welcoming any questions. my fries were perfectly crisp. I think it's the last place in town to get a mushroom burger and it was delicious. my compliments to the kitchen staff. they were busy and the bar was full of people ordering food. all of it came out very quickly. I watched that more than the Canadian football my husband was watching. as we were leaving our kids texted and asked for fries and a shake so we hit the drive thru line. we were greeted with more friendly employees. it was quick and efficient and the best, friendly service. Was trying out something new and decided to stop by deas. I got a big order to try out different items. Once me and my family pulled up to the window to pay we sat for a couple minutes and I was looking in the window, I meant nothing by it and a older lady staff member came up and said with her arms up "what are you staring at" I was shocked a STAFF member would be so rude for me looking in the window? I've ate at Dea's since I was a child(used to get the grilled cheese lol) and it's always been good food. They make your burger fresh when you come through the drive-thru, which is always nice. I like to go for the longburger and add bacon, with a side a fries and lots of fry sauce(additional cost, small portioned sauce, so get a few)! Also with their milkshakes/malts you can mix and match flavors, chocolate/banana is delicious. Can be pretty spendy and customer service is so-so. read more

Dea's In & Out is NOT the place to eat breakfast. It seems like the people that eat breakfast at Dea's has been going to Dea's for 25 years and will til either Dea's or they die. If you go to breakfast at Dea's your taking one of regulars tables, and it's not worth the wait for a table and they regulars don't have the time left to wait. What you can get at Dea's is an American style/Drive in Lunch. Burgers, fries and shakes. Don't expect anything special or quality ingredients. The overall the quality of Dea's is medium-low food service quality. Dea's may have been good at one point but they have been coasting along for sometime now. read more

This place has been around forever. The long burger is kind of famous, and although their lunches are decent for a local diner type establishment, to me, this is a breakfast place. Good prices, good food and selections, really nice staff. They also have 1/2 portions which a lot of places don't, and they are flexible with your order. My grandpa lives by this place. We come here for every father's day, every Grandpa birthday, any sunday breakfast, it's always Dea's. And why not? It's got pretty much everything a little diner should, and a few options you don't see very often. I usually get him gift cards for here on special occasions. The ham steak breakfast is awesome, good omelets, just good breakfast, they do it right. And I think the regular breakfast is like $5.50 and comes with coffee. Go Gramps! read more

Traditional old school American diner. I can see from other reviewers what not to order, but I can tell you that the Long burger w/cheese and their homemade potato salad is worth ordering. And I am a potato salad snob (I HATE REESERS!!!)They have been making their signature long burger since I was a child. We would go roller skating at the old wooden rink on Powell, then go across the street to the old location for Long burgers. I also had a very good steak, eggs & hash browns breakfast there. The steak was not skimpy and/or tough like most, eggs were perfectly cooked (over med.), and golden crispy hash brown potatoes just the way I like them. I hate the big pile of white, then over browned on top shreds you get from restaurants not using enough oil or butter on the grill. LOL, sorry, foodies like delicious, not healthy. Dea's is usually the answer when thinking about a place to go for breakfast in Gresham. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is decent. I like to change my order around, mainly ordering french toast or the classic bacon and eggs. The best part about this place is they have flavored creamer for your coffee, which is something I wish that every restaurant had. They also serve lunch and dinner with their long hamburger being my favorite on the menu. Dea's is definitely a favorite place to go when it comes to breakfast. read more

Dea's is probably my favorite place in Gresham to get a burger. The place is old and outdated, but the food is really good. BTW In N Out lovers, get grilled onions on a long cheeseburger and you basically have an animal burger. My partner and I generally order 2 stumpys (A long cheeseburger with a better bun, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce) with grilled onions (I think it comes with raw onions, if you don't ask for grilled), 1 order of curly fries, and a pink komona (it's like orange soda with cherry syrup, or something) to split. AMAZING! A couple years ago we were craving pie after we ate there, and they happen to make their pies in house, so we ordered pecan (it was that season) a la mode. Incredible! We make sure to order it at least once a year. Their shakes are good, too. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. Definitely check this place out! read more

Growing up, I would have easily given Dea's 5 stars! This place is featured in some of my earliest childhood memories. Anytime we went to Gresham, we had to go to Dea's. It's the kinda place your parents take you to because they hung out there in high school. Sadly, it's lost some of it's luster over the years. As I am writing this review the bartender, unsure of her name, with short gray hair has walked by me as I am seated at the bar, for 10 minutes without asking if I would like another beer. She has asked and served every other patron in the place what they need and I am completely ignored until I call out for another beer. So sad. Brad is amazing but this lady needs to go. Just another crappy place in the Portland/Gresham area, yelp reviews let us down. When I get chicken strips I like a nice crisp, even crunchy batter, this place just has the old standard frozen peppered crap chicken strips. The batter is as soft as the chicken. This place doesn't make anything fresh from what I seen from my order. The fries were limp, greasy, not fresh, frozen, tasteless piles of crap. Had to throw em out to the birds. They need to visit wing stop if they want to learn how to make fries. Where do I start with the cole slaw that came with the other order (fish n chips)...? I should have been weary that the guy said "do you want the coleslaw?" I said does it come with it? "Yes," the man replied, so I was thinking why did he just ask that? Opening it up I now understood. It looked like it was days old, it smelled like crap, had no crunch to it. I stabbed it with the fork a few times and it was such mush nothing stuck, it just further compacted it down in the container that had the nasty fate of holding that garbage in. The ranch was made in house....hahaha that's a joke! The ranch was prepackaged. It tasted like cheap crap, too. It's didn't even help out those bland fries mentioned earlier. I came in last Friday with my elderly mom who is in a wheelchair. She finds it hard to get out and go to lunch. Deas is a veritable Gresham instution. The food is hot, a little greasy and service is quick. It is unique that it is sit down breakfast with waitresses in the morning and then flips to order/pick up at the counter for lunch and dinner. I mainly eat breakfast at Deas. The prices are reasonable and the food is adaquate. I am telling you now, don't go in expecting gourment omelettes and fancy home fries. It is the place you want to go when you need to get some food to start your day, not impress you friends. I think that is why I keep coming back. I know what I am going to get.
