This is a new spot in st Charles and it is a must try! They make their brioche donuts fresh daily and do not use any preservatives. Because of this their prices are a little higher and it's worth it. The inside is cute and has plenty of seating. I love the touch of orchids throughout! Very pretty and sets a calming atmosphere. There are also a few tables out front if you'd prefer to sit outside as well. I noticed an air purifier inside which I really appreciate. The fact that the owners took the extra time/money to invest in that shows they care about their employees and their customers. This was my first time here so I asked the staff what their top 3 personal favorites were. I took their recommendation and got all 3 that they choose. Staff was super friendly and gave quick service. Hubs and I tried the ube, strawberry milk cream and choco crunch donuts. It's hard to say which one is my favorite since they are all very good and very different flavors. They change their donut menu monthly and I will definitely be coming back to try others. Side note - it's REAL Ube. I've been let down with so many places saying they serve 'Ube' but turns out it's actually taro. THIS PLACE LEGITIMATELY HAS UBE AND IT'S DELICIOUS! We also got the matcha strawberry boba and goodness it was refreshing. The matcha authentic, made from japan. It is of excellent quality making this drink delicious, creamy and smooth. read more

Love this place. Donuts are unique, service is good, nice people and reasonable prices.

This is our second time here and it's always busy, so that means everyone definitely likes it. The downside to being busy is that the tables may not get wiped down as often - not a game changer, just an observation. We ordered the Strawberry Cream, Choco Crunch, Raspberry Cheesecake, and of course the Ube Bironut. Every single one of them tastes great, and what we like is that they aren't crazy sweet, but just enough to let you know they are donuts! Recommend if you're in the area and don't mind spending $4.50 - $5.00 a donut, but they are great! read more

If you want a cute space, fluffy and flavorful donuts, and unique flavors...come to Dear Donuts! Be warned, each donut is around $5. However, you can really taste the delicate flavors and rich ingredients. We were on a donut crawl in St. Charles and we couldn't stay for long but the place is so cute. The cashier nicely explained the most popular flavors even though there was a line behind us. Go early because they do sell out. This place is indulgent and worth the drive. read more

So this place sells out of donuts. I understand it get sold out by 2:30! And there no donuts to be had. So maybe change the name to dear snack? Because most donut shops will have donuts at least til closing time. I was sadly disappointed. It was at least 30 minutes Lyft ride. I tried their k dog it was okay. Never underestimate the power of an IG reel..it is what lured us over to Dear Donuts in St Charles, just off of Randall Rd. This once dreary plaza is beginning to see some light. There was indeed a line this Sunday afternoon and it only grew longer as time progressed. As a result, we were met with a "donuts sold out" sign. Thats okay. We patiently waited along with everyone else. This gave us time to admire their cute donut kitten mascot throughout the room. These brioche donuts are undoubtedly a few stair flight levels above your traditional morning donuts. Pillowy soft and airy, generously and lovingly filled with creamy gourmet decadence. Each flavor was so unique! These aren't the type of donuts one simply inhales while rambling sports stats. Everyone around me had to zip their lips as I drifted into a blissful, highly caloric stupor. We tried the vanilla, choco crunch, ube, and strawberry milk cream. It is hard to pick favorites but if I had to, ube wins. Dear Donuts somehow made a flavor like vanilla unique, using Madagascar vanilla bean. I am super intrigued by all of the other flavors and will be back to try them. There are more than just donuts here, my donut brethren. They have good coffee, bubble tea, K-corn dogs, etc. If you're a fan, they actually serve very aromatic tea, hot or cold, as they proudly serve Rishi Tea. Try the yuzu peach green tea or the blueberry hibiscus like we did, fragrant! I'll likely show up on a hot summer evening to try their matcha or dole pineapple soft serve. I have to give props to the young people working behind the counter as they were really trying their hardest to meet the demand of an excited, curious, and hungry horde, which we were shamelessly a part of. These kids maintained a friendly and professional demeanor even though they were swamped, hats off! Treat yourself with one of these donuts, you deserve it! read more

This place was amazing! From the vibes when you walk into the door to the amazing corn dogs they make! The food was delicious! The donuts were so different but the filling makes you want more! Believe the viral TT and IG video reels, Dear Donuts has the most delicious, freshest, cream filled brioche style donuts around! I got the strawberry, ube, chocolate crunch, cookies n cream, lemon-blueberry (monthly special) and the garlic cream cheese. All were winners but the ube, garlic cream cheese were my favorites! Close was the lemon-blueberry which is one of the monthly flavors. I only came for the donuts so can't comment on the corn dogs or specialty drinks but they looked amazing as well. The decor inside is so cute. I love the wall where they display customer's artwork-wish I took a picture! Warning to all who saw the viral video, they are getting slammed with new customers like me so be prepared to be patient as they are doing their best to accommodate us. Get there EARLY on the weekends if you do not want to be disappointed when they are sold out. I got there before 8:30am and the place was packed! They are constantly updating their social media on their stock status so make sure to check or call ahead. The owner, staff are wonderful, please remember to be KIND!! read more

Just tried Dear Donuts for the first time, simply amazing! I had a strawberry milk cream briont donut. It was filled with tons of cream (just enough sugar) which I love. The dough was not oily but perfectly cooked. I also had to try a Vanilla donut with a very generous amount of vanilla filling. Again not overly sweet but once again perfect. I also tried an Organic Matcha Latte hot tea. I'm a coffee lover but now I just may switch to this amazing tea. Me and my kids went for the first time when they had just opened, a little over a year ago. Everything is so fresh and delicious so we now go there when we get the chance! We have had the UBE and Tiger Brown Sugar Boba's, so far we have tried all their signature donuts and Corn Dogs and sometimes their monthly or sunday specials. The kids' favorite is the UBE drink, Vanilla, Ube and Strawberry milk cream donuts. Me and my 10 year old love the Hot Cheetos Half and Half corn dog ( half cheese, half hot dog ). Dear Donuts and their staff are THE BEST, their food is always fresh, it doesn't smell or taste like old oil (very important factor) and they have helped me even with crazy requests, thank you very much for running an amazing business and for being so sweet, more than your donuts are. We get Donuts for special events for our Family, gatherings with friends and as a pick-me-up treat. Their to go boxes are adorable, just remember to at least get 2 donuts because the 1 donut box is not as cute. :) read more

This place definitely deserves the hype. I've been here before it went viral and honestly we were so happy to have a place nearby that made high quality donuts with great ingredients. I've tried all of their donuts and can agree they're all amazing. Hard to pick a favorite. Just buy one of each and try them all. Don't waste time figuring out which is better than the rest. I've had their boba too and enjoyed them as well. I'm proud of this small mom and pop store for handling the crowds. I know the pressure and extra attention wasn't what they were looking for, but they're filling the bellies of many folks looking for a specific type of donut you simply cannot find around here. They also do it very well. The only suggestion I have is maybe they try assigning a staff member to take orders in advance of the cash register and carry a card reader. Then have a runner bring food similar to what Portillo's does. It should reduce wait times. read more

They made one of the better iced coffees and iced matcha lattes I've ever had. The matcha latte came with an almost Tupperware-like material for a cup with a cool top that allowed me to open and reseal the drink. The woman behind the counter was relatively nice and answered a lot of our questions well about which donuts are popular and which ones were seasonal. The strawberry donut was great. They aren't like other donut shops in that they seem more balanced on sweetness without risking blandness. I actually like and appreciate that. The donut filling tasted like a strawberry milkshake. They slice real, flawless strawberries to decorate the outside too. The pastry was done perfectly to my liking and seemed to be in the oven just at the right temperature and the right time duration. The shop seemed to attract a wide array of clientele from coffee dates to people quickly dropping in of all demographics. The place seems to be themed after Korean and Japanese influences with a good degree of balance. It's Well lit and well kept when I was there. read more

I am always a fan of new donut places opening up around my area, and I will always happily enjoy one of their specialties. Dear Donuts is no exception to that rule. Dear Donut has been blowing up on social media, and there is a good reason for it. Dear Donut is located in St Charles in a strip mall. Therefore there are a lot of parking options available. They are open at 7 am. However, their website/online presence could be a little better. I do not think they even have a website so finding a menu is a little difficult. It seems like they change their menu fairly often so that could be a reason why. If that is the case, an Instagram or something could be beneficial for fans like me. Dear Donuts sells donuts, boba tea, and Korean corn dogs.. among other items. Not sure if we can get a corn dog in the morning but I see no reason. The location was very easy to find. The inside is very bright, clean, and inviting. I walked up to the counter and someone was there waiting for me. She was a little soft-spoken and the environment was a little loud so it was hard to hear her. In the end, I got 4 donuts... vanilla, chocolate crunch, cookies n cream, and mango-passionfruit. The donuts themselves were brioche and not yeast-type. I admit that I am a fan of yeast donuts more but I am glad they were not cake style which I do not enjoy as much. The biggest difference between Dear Donuts and most donut places is their sweetness level. Sweetness was a lot less than that compared to other places. Due to that, each donut tastes very similar to the other despite having different flavor compounds. Prices for each donut are on the higher side of things. I do appreciate that they are freshly made so I am willing to pay more for it. Overall.. I respect this location and I did enjoy their donuts. But due to my preferences and tastes, I may or may not return with zero fault of the location. However, I will have to return to try out their Korean corn dogs. read more

So we found this place here about an hr way from Chicago west of it depending on the traffic and day and time. So let's get to it then doughnuts are good a bit different but good in taste and drinks are very good also very clean place also and service was good and friendly. We didn't wait much for our drinks which is very good. I would stop by here again if I'm around the neighborhood. This donut shop is over an hour drive away from my house but I am already looking forward to the next time I can stop by. There is plenty of street parking in the shared lot and the employees were very patient when I had to send a picture of the menu to my friend so she could see what drinks were available. I ordered her the premium matcha and I ordered myself a tiramisu iced latte. The latte was rich and sweet. I splurged and ordered a six pack of the donuts which included a madagascar vanilla, ube, cookies and cream, biscoff cheescake, yuzu cheesecake and the strawberry milk cream. All of the donuts were light, fluffy and had a food donut to filling ratio. We shared the 6 donuts between 3 people and they were all so delicious. There was also a counter/wall that displayed items such as cards, pens and stuffed plushies that could be purchased. I'm excited to come back to try more flavors and hopefully there will be more seasonal flavors to come. read more

The workers are so nice and always smiling. We love the ambiance with all the chairs, cute things to look at, and the booth with items to shop for. Feels like a place you can get coffee and donuts with a friend and relax for a bit. Could not recommend it more! We got the ube donut, strawberry cheesecake donut, and matcha soft serve... Dear donuts, You have stolen my heart. As an avid donut lover, I stumbled upon this cute little place on IG and just had to try them. We took the 50 min drive and it did NOT disappoint. Been waiting for Dear Donuts to open up ever since they showed up as a recommend place on IG for me to check out. I wasn't able to make their grand opening but did go recently one evening after dinner to check it out. Unfortunately, they were already sold out of 2 flavors that I had wanted which was strawberry and everything bagel. I'll have to make a plan to arrive much earlier or when they open. Husband and I opted to try their ube and vanilla brioche donuts. Both were very delicious and we were surprised at how light the dough was. The cream filling inside both were flavorful and not too sweet. It reminded me of eating a very large cream puff. Each donut was a bit pricey at 4.50-5.00 each....however not bad if you are willing to treat yourself to a nice dessert once in a while. Dear Donuts is a cute cafe and I also appreciate their packaging. They also sell drinks, korean hot dogs and soft serve. I can't wait to come back to try their dole whip, as originally being from Hawaii - I would like to see if it compares. read more

Had dinner near by at just kabob's and saw this on yelp and I had to try. We arrived and the place is super clean and nice looking inside. We got greeted coming in and there were a couple people inside. We ordered our two doughnuts and went with the strawberry milk cream and choco crunch. There was four left of the strawberry milk cream but the people in front of us bought all four. So I asked if they had anymore or if they would bake more and what time they would be ready. The lady told us the bake like a thousand and once they are sold that's it. They close at 10pm but once the doughnuts are sold out that's it for the day. We only bought the choco crunch and the owner comes out and sees the strawberry rack empty and she tells the lady there's more in back, after she just told me she was sold out. Once the owner said she had more we bought the strawberry milk cream. Both doughnuts were so good I can't wait to go back and get a couple more. They also have boba and coffee and corn dogs. read more

I didn't know about this place until my mom and sister recommended this place to me. I drive past the area to and from work all the time! I always love a good Korean corn dog and boba tea so my fiancé and I gave this little shop a try. The inside of the place is very clean and cute with plenty of seating. There is a section of the wall where customers are encouraged to leave a drawing, poem, etc. to share positive attitude and creativity! I thought it was such a neat idea! They also have a small shelf filled with little goodies and merchandise such as keychains, pens, and other office-like supplies. I got the Hot Cheeto corn dog with half mozzarella and half beef hotdog and my fiancé got the original with all beef hotdog, along with a brown sugar boba tea. With the corn dogs, you can get it topped with a bit of sugar but my fiancé and I opted out and just ate it the way it was. Now, they do have a small station with other toppings and condiments to add to your corn dog. I was expecting my corn dog to be coated entirely with the Hot Cheeto dust but it was more like a sprinkled add-on. However, it was still very delicious, as these corn dogs were piping hot! It's good to know that they are made to order. I didn't get to try the donuts as I'm not a fan of filled donuts. But the next time I do go, I will definitely try them out! Overall, the experience was great, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. It's a very small place, but it makes you feel right at home. I can't wait to come back soon! read more
