First time trying this local donut place, another place that makes their donuts fresh daily. Stopped in around 9:45-10 am so they had limited availability but still some good variety. The vibe is old school coffee shop where you can see the regulars hang out in the morning for their daily coffee. Grabbed some freshly baked glazed donut holes and a couple of long johns. Ordered the glazed cake, a regular glazed, and a vanilla long john and they all tasted great according to everyone. The cashier was so friendly and was even nice enough to give me an extra threaded glazed donut because she said that they had a more left over than usual for that time of day. It was a little after 3pm and they still had a decent selection but some were sold out. I was in the area for a business meeting that ended early so I turned to Yelp for a place to grab a donut. Bosa is a cute stand-alone building with plenty of parking. I ordered my favorite old-fashioned buttermilk and a double chocolate. The nice young woman who waited on me commented it was a slow morning and she threw in an extra donut and a couple of donut holes. So generous! The old-fashioned was perfect -- crispy edges and an almost creamy interior! The donut holes were airy and delicious. I had the double chocolate one later in the afternoon. Another winner! I live further up north in the Crystal Lake area, so my go-to donut shop is Country Donuts... but when I get a chance to drive to St. Charles, Bosa is king, and Bosa would be king of the north if they had a shop there. My favorite donut used to be the chocolate long john, but here the chocolate buttermilk is an absolute obsession. There's a crumbly crunch that accompanies the perfectly smooth chocolate frosting that I crave any time I'm in the area. I usually buy 2-3 since I'm not around here very often. Lastly, from an ambiance standpoint, the two owners are the sweetest people you've ever met and always have smiles on their faces. We scored with an exceptional find today by visiting Bosa Donuts on Main Street in Saint Charles, Illinois. We have driven by this tiny establishment hundreds of times and this was the first time we stopped in, as we are eating our way down Main Street. We enjoyed the most amazing donuts, pumpkin donuts and apple cider donuts which came in both glazed and sugared, and a cake donut. For every donut you purchase, you also get a donut hole. The price was very reasonable. There was a large variety of donuts, including Fruity Pebbles and Cocopuff Cereal topped donuts, which appeared to be a favorite of the children. Fresh donuts kept coming out of baking area, as they were quickly being purchased and going out the front door. As we were exiting, there were croissants and chocolate iced croissants cooling on the counter. The service was super friendly. We sat in the dining area and enjoyed our donuts and conversation. It felt like you were sitting in grandma's kitchen, nothing updated or modern here, just good clean tables and chairs with real plants growing in the windows. Absolutely wonderful. read more

Stopped at 5:30am not opened. Web and door say open at 5am. Have stopped before between 6am and 7am and they failed to have several selections of their donuts made. I have given them several opportunities to service better but I'm done. Nice people, but when you say your open at a certain time, and your not, and when you don't have your product ready it's a failure. Either get out of bed and get started earlier, or post later hours. The frostings are good and don't seem to be that weird stuff from a bucket that never develops a crust, like on donuts often found in grocery store bakeries. I can't comment coffee or anything else they sell, as I've only ever purchased donuts. I have had an occasional high-priced donut elsewhere that was actually worth the extra money, but most of the time, I have wished that I had been able to get a simple glazed buttermilk donut instead, like those from Bosa Donuts. read more

I've only been once. Apple fritter was one of the best I've ever had. It absolutely positively had apples! You don't find that much anymore. And it was Big. 1/2 for me 1/2 for a friend. Male owner while I was there carried on several phone calls on speaker, pretty loud. But Then he started chanting (to himself) Buddhist chants. Crazy cool to listen to. Lots of parking.
