    Welcome

Cute shop on 3rd street, specializing in desserts and treats. I had a cup of chocolate soft serve and my guest had vanilla/chocolate. Both were delicious!

Cupcakes were good. I had lemon (bottom right).

Incredibly charming sweet shop in downtown Geneva. From the time you enter the doorway and walk in it's whimsical and Instagram-able. The counter girl was helpful. However, for what you get it's pricey. I bought a milkshake, a lemonade and a cupcake and my total was $27. I know I'm paying for ambience (and I am in Geneva) having incredibly special looking treats but the lemonade I had was just OK. The concept was great. It had a lavender ice cube, a lemonade, ice cube and a watermelon ice cube on top and I had club soda poured in, but it took forever for it to melt to get any flavor. My daughter had a red velvet milkshake that she said was really great and it looked super cute when she got it. The lemon cupcake was good. However, there were truffles being sold in the case no bigger than a nickel in size that were $5 each. I couldn't even imagine what kind of magic that must've tasted like for $5. Will I be back? Probably since it was so charming inside but next time maybe I'll just stick to a cupcake.

Cute spot in DT Geneva, good cafe and dessert options. Teas, lemonades, cafe drinks, cupcakes, chocolates, and various ways to dress up a few flavors of soft serve. Soft serve and mango mousse is a bit pricey at $6, cupcakes $4.50, cafe drinks $5, had 1 cupcake, 3 basic soft serves, 2 mango mousses , and a cold brew and the bill was roughly $40. I will say the soft serve was fairly large and definitely shareable for 2 people which I would recommend. Service was good and quick.

The image shows a glass display case filled with an assortment of baked goods such as cupcakes, cookies, and slices of cake. The items are arranged on white trays with small handwritten labels indicating their names and prices. The case is situated in a bakery or cafe setting, with a reflection of the outside visible through the glass. The baked goods include decorated cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats, some with toppings or frosting.

Everything about Hey Sugar is pretty- from the cupcakes and treats behind the case to the decor to the customers I mean, it was kind of weird- like everybody in there was dressed up to eat cupcakes. We got a selection of cupcakes to go to take to a friend's house and they were all delicious. We ended up cutting them up and sharing them between us and I would definitely go back

Wow when you see this place from outside it looks simply magical! When you open the doors it makes you feel like a kid in the candy store! So many great cupcake, ice cream, and hot drink options! The prices are modest compared to other dessert places we have dined at. We were so happy to see peanut butter options on the menu board because most places avoid it! We will be back for sure! This place is has the most decadent desserts! I have never seen a waffle cone rolled in cereal before so yum! The only complaint it that we did not get any napkins and it would be nice to have a free water station. We will be back for sure!

This was my first time stopping in! I like the store's layout, it definitely is young and has tons of Instagram worthy backgrounds. The cupcakes I would give 3.5 stars. I review every cupcake shop on a vanilla cupcake because I think basic cupcake flavors can be hard for some places and it makes it the easiest for comparison. The vanilla let me down here. The cake was very dense and slightly dry. The frosting was decent. Good cake to frosting ratio and overall size. I just wouldn't get this again based on the texture. Then I had a carrot cake cupcake and that was so much better! So I would try different flavors from them given this. The cream cheese frosting had a nice flavor and the carrot cake was moist and had different consistencies of ingredients mixed in. They also offer a good selection of ice cream and drinks and a few other desserts!

Tried this place out for our back to school treats! Very fun and cute place! The flavors and choices were fun, and my son was impressed with Cloud 9 because it had pop rocks and all sorts of goodies like cotton candy! For the 3 kids and myself, it was $43.20, which seemed like a lot - but everything costs so much right now! It was a cute place, and I'm sure we will be back down the road! Service was wonderful - the girls working were very patient with my kids as they weren't behaving the best! Hyper due to excitement!!

SO much fun and yum having a Sweet Treat Birthday Celebration!! The staff were lovely and accommodating to all of our silliness!! And needless to say the ice cream and cupcakes were a hit!!! The girls had SUCH a great time!

First of all the vibes of the place is very welcoming. The decoration is adorable and instagrammable. We bought a cookie dough peanut butter which was a perfectly moist chocolate cupcake, edible cookie dough, and a piece of a Hershey's bar on top. It was really good and great for the price! The peanut butter explosion is a chocolate soft serve with peanut butter Reese's, salted caramel dressing, and other peanut butter bits. This was so good. I'm usually hesitant on chocolate and peanut butter desserts because they're usually super overwhelming but this was so so good. The chocolate soft serve wasn't overwhelming, the peanut butter flavors came out even after you finish the top part, and the salted caramel drizzle was the right amount of salt to boost the sweetness. 5/5 will definitely come back!

Hey Sugar is a fun stop when traveling through Geneva's walkable downtown. This would not be my go to sweets shop, but it is definitely worth the trip for the novelty of the experience. The shop is fun, plenty of photo ops and full of sweet smells. The menu is nuts! You need a translator for it, I used one of the workers. My son was tempted by some photos, but settled on the Oreo cake shake...except, he did not want the cake in the shake. This meant I paid $8.60 for a vanilla ice cream Oreo blizzard basically, but again, this was a special trip. The price tag is the reasonI could not make this our regular shop, although that may not deter everyone. The shake was good, there was a lot of whipped cream on too with frosting around the cup to hold on the sprinkles. There were plenty of Oreos mixed in, and the shake was thick. That was my one other complaint, we love a thick shake, but it destroyed the paper straw before he was half way done. I had a plastic straw in the car, but be warned, the paper just won't hold up for the duration of the shake. Good for them on using paper, but get an extra if you order a shake. Fun pictures, summer fun list checked off too, for me, Hey Sugar is a once a year, or less, stop for something special or to bring someone new.

Yum! Both my daughter and I enjoyed this place. Cute vibe. She loved posing for pictures by their floral sign inside. The desserts were very good. I got the cookie dough cupcake and she got the birthday cake cupcake.

Truly a Chicagoland gem. I've tried a few things and so far the red velvet shake was my favorite. Definitely check it out!

Firstly, anyone saying the food doesn't taste good or they leave hungry is smokin crack ..... also,…read moresounds like you probably would of enjoyed a buffet instead. This place is incredible... the food is to die for. It's the first place I've been to and did not feel like bloated or so full to where I was sick because the portions were perfect. Nothing here fell short, in fact it's the first place in the burbs where the food wasn't overly salted or fried in some type of oil. Everything tasted fresh. The flavors were busting up in my mouth every bite I took, even down to snowball fight drink we had. I highly, highly recommend the bread cheese appetizer- this was something super unique to me as I've only had grilled up cheese one other time in Brazil, Queijo Coalho.... There was a beautiful twist on this cheese- crunchy, creamy, sweet, savory and the honey and tabbouleh were such a great finish to this dish. Pair this with the fresh bread and it was chefs kiss! We had the beer braised short rib and seabass- two completely different flavored entres that we absolutely perfect. The short rib you literally can't go wrong with- melted in my mouth with every bite - and hats off the the chef who cooked the onions so perfect to actually be able to taste them instead of just carmelizing or salting them! I would call this your typical Midwest comfort dish. The seabass was much different the salad was tangy with the lentils being rich- add a nice cooked crispy top seabass and you got yourself a unique dish of flavors that will have you thinking what's in it after hours! But the star of the show was dessert of course - OMFG - s'mores ice cream sunday ....... I died and went to heaven literally. I have never tasted ice cream that mimicked everything I've ever wanted my ice cream to taste like. It was the perfect temperature (trust me a lot of restaurants it's either rock hard or melted) this was epic. Creamy, almost pudding like and being able to taste every note was wild to me. The graham cracker - yes the freaking graham cracker was the best one I've ever tasted in my life. Clearly I've never had a graham cracker without preservatives before. The chocolate syrup .... Jeeze let me tell if I could swim in it I would.... The service was friendly, prompt and right on time. The server knew all the cues and timing of all the food to come out. She checked in everytime we got something to make sure everything was just right... you can tell she takes her job seriously but also knows how to interact with people - something a lot of servers lack these days so we really appreciated the service. As for the atmosphere- this place blows a lot of the chi city restaurants out of the water. The organic feel but fancy! Oh, and I can actually talk and hear myself think without blasting music over my head. We will be back ... but honestly please change nothing here- everything you're doing here is fantastic!

Ambiance is incredibly intimate and cozy. Very comfortable…read morewaiting lounge available while your table clears, which will be a while. Food was delicious. Cocktails were delicious. Service is VERY slow. Whether by design or intent, I cannot determine but if you're hungry, don't come here or you will be excruciatingly hangry. Understand that this is not a high table turnover environment. The dinner rush is not exactly witnessed here. Ive never seen a grill line have such a lack of sense of urgency but it quickly made sense as I recognized it had been 35 minutes since an order was put in. Aside from that also understood the food was absolutely amazing, is it worth the wait? Yes if you understand the length of time it may take to get it. Come here not needing to eat immediately and enjoy the ambiance, the drinks, be in the moment, and let the food be an afterthought. I will most certainly be back.
