My car was damaged in an accident and the company swiftly collected my vehicle, took it to the repair shop and set me up with a similar vehicle for rental. Although it took a while to get the parts necessary to repair the car, it was at no fault of DEAN AUTO BODY. I cannot say enough about the interior and exterior care of my car, the scratches and dents throughout the vehicle disappeared with great skill from Theo and his repair & paint team. I now have my beautiful car back in exquisite shape, both inside and out. read more

Seamless service from beginning to end. The front desk receptionist is friendly and approachable. Dino himself is a gem: kind, courteous and efficient. The person I worked at with rental was also very quick and kind. I have never had such an easy experience dealing with a car repair. Turn around time was quick and the rental car was included. I am so very pleased with the service and the cost. They turned what I thought would be a huge nightmare into an insanely easy process and eased tons of anxiety for me. Love these guys. I highly recommend Dean Auto Collision! read more

Dean Auto and Collision is the absolute best at what they do. They were very professional and have the added convenience of having a rental car component which makes getting a rental car while your car is being fixed quiet facilitated. I felt at ease with their level of professionalism and the turn around. The rental was clean and well-maintained. When I picked up my car, it was in pristine shape. It drove well, and everything looked brand new. It was clean inside and out and the paint job was supreme and quite remarkable. I appreciate their work, and, Dino, in particular, made everything easy and very understandable for me. The staff is also very nice and welcoming as well and do their job very well. This company comes highly recommended is indubitably the best at what they do in the Providence, RI, area. -E. Stewart, Jr., M.D., Physician read more

After my experience with Dino at Dean Auto Collision Center, I honestly can't see taking my car anywhere else for as long as I live in this city. I've been to a lot of different auto repair places in my life. I drove all the way here from Southern California and that was definitely not my only long distance road trip. I am no stranger to mechanics and or car troubles. This place was top-notch! Dean Auto Collision Center dealt directly with my Insurance Provider so I didn't have to go back and forth and worry about money or try and fight my way to a repair I was supposed to qualify for. They even got a few things repaired that I did not really think would be included. When I got my car back I almost wondered if it had been detailed. Basically, it looked cleaner than clean. My favorite thing about Dean Auto Collision Center was how carefree the whole experience was. They hooked me up with a rental car and told me it was on the house while they were doing repairs. Right away I didn't have to worry about anything. After getting my car back I was pleasantly surprised by how great my car looked and there were no hidden fees or problems. The whole experience was A+. Even after the repairs were all done I called back to get a few tires and they hooked me up quickly. I definitely saved money by going to Dean Auto Collision Center. I just love this place and I will be a repeat customer should the need arise again! read more

After our previous auto repair shop closed, we were in desperate need of an extraordinary new shop. Dean Auto is that shop. From the raving Yelp reviews to the nothing but phenomenal service, Dino is an amazing person along with his staff. They fixed the car to make it even better then it was when we initially bought it. No joke, the car looks and rides as if it is brand spanking new! I will always give my business to them and tell anybody and everybody in need of a great auto body shop to come here! You guys are the best!!!! read more

Dino provides some of the best customer service in the business. I acknowledged to him initially that my knowledge of the process was deficient, and he responded with not only honest service, but with the best quote that I was given by far from the 5 autobody shops I called. When i mentioned I was strapped for cash at the time, he gave me an even better price that I'm confident was less than HALF of what I would have had to pay at the closest competitor's... He works with an incredibly helpful staff who will help walk you through your insurance's plans, even calling them and coordinating everything on the phone on your behalf...if you plan on going through your insurance company. He provided a free rental car as I eagerly awaited for the results on my Black Audi...and it was done in just as much time as he promised a few days later. I couldn't have been more pleased as I received the car in essentially brand new appearance. He not only took care of the two large tasks I had requested, but him and his guys went around my car and cleaned up additional damage(scratches, scrapes, bumps/bruises) without it being included in the asking. All of that, and quite possibly the best part awaited me upon entry into my car. All the years of snow/mud damage to my mats, doors, all the wear and tear on my leather disappeared (steering wheel and headrest/seat were spotless and freshly moisturized) . My car literally looked and smelled like the beautiful car I purchased almost 9 years ago. I had a very rejuvenated enjoyment of driving her again. Oh, and I was making it out of work much later than expected on the day of pickup, after the closing hour of Dean's Auto Center, and he shouts, "Don't worry about it, we'll be here for you for another hour." If you want honest, incredible customer-service, the best prices in town, and a car shop that goes a million extra miles from the competitor in trying to return your car to new condition...Dino is your guy. Will never use another shop in Providence. read more

Good service, all in one kind of place. Got a rental the same day I left the car. Car had minimal damage on the right side but was called as a total loss. Wasn't expecting that. Takes a while for things to get done. read more

Everyone I dealt with was super friendly and my car looks brand new after getting in a minor fender bender. They gave me a free loaner car and dealt with all the paperwork and fixed things that had nothing to do with the accident (eg: car was hit in the front, they replaced the front _and_ back bumpers- ?!) The reason I am docking stars here is because I was told it would be done in 3 weeks (which felt long to me already) but it took 6 weeks. I kept calling and they kept pushing out the time. I was starting to feel jerked around. And when I finally got the car back the seats were soaking wet from the interior having just been detailed. On the other hand, the car was immaculate inside and out (I have never seen it so sparkly) and I didn't pay a dime. So I guess my advice to you is if your car's been hit and you aren't in a hurry to have it back any time soon and you don't mind driving a Corolla for 6 weeks, don't hesitate to call these guys and bring a towel to sit on when you pick up your car. Also, had I known my baby would be gone for so long I'd have insisted on the Fiat loaner. read more

I am so impressed with my whole experience. They offer the best prices, the warmest customer service and a sweet free loaner car. It's clear they take pride in their work. Not only were the repairs done well, they cleaned the interior of my car as well. read more

I am writing this review for my father who does not use Yelp but he wanted to share his opinion about his experience with Dean Auto and Collision. He took his Chevy truck in to be repaired and is thrilled with how everything came out. Dino was great to deal with from meeting with him when he brought the car in to picking it up today after everything was completed. The work left my father feeling like he has a new truck all over again. Dino was empathetic to the situation and clearly took care of everything including dealing with the insurance. The truck looks and drives like new again. Thank you so much for doing such a thorough job! Highly recommended to anyone needing repair work done on their car. Dino will definitely take care of you! read more

I received and lost a parking ticket while driving a rental from here. I tried to pay Dean directly, and I was told that everything was all set. I just got back from an extended work assignment in the south to discover that I've missed a court hearing pertaining to the ticket, which I was told was all set. I felt awful about it, and was so upfront! I'll never do business with them again. I'm headed to the police station to turn myself in and explain myself. Thanks for a headache! Car not fully repaired either. read more

The service itself was excellent. Zero issues there. As others have said, it was a super-easy experience from start to finish, they eat your collision deductible, and they even give you a complimentary loaner vehicle, which was a massive help. The car came out looking brand new. They do great work based on my experience, which is why the rest of this review is unfortunate. After I picked up the car, I discovered I was missing some property that had been in my trunk -- an air compressor and a small bag of hand tools. I called the owner, who advised he'd check in with (I believe it was) the body shop manager and call me back. I never received a call back, so I tried again a few days later. The owner had forgotten to check with the shop manager, and told me he'd do so, and call me back. Again, I never received a call back, so I showed up in person on my lunch break about a week or so later. The owner didn't seem to remember my calls and told me to wait while the shop manager went and checked. I waited for about 20 minutes for the shop manager to return, at which point I had to leave because my lunch break was over. This was about two weeks ago, and I never received a call back regarding this matter. They absolutely lost a customer. read more

This place is honestly a life-saver, and Dino is great to work with! I got into an accident and needed my front bumper re-installed and my side view mirror replaced. Dino had my bumper put back on (no charge!) and even said I could get a replacement mirror myself and they would have it put on for no charge! I have a lot more body work that needs to be done from the accident, scratches/dings/etc, and will definitely get the work done here. It makes a huge difference dealing with a place that feels honest. The place also seems to be very busy (which I'd say is good!) but there is always someone available to help you and although I didn't have an appointment I didn't have to wait too long. read more

Very helpful and easy going! I just had a quick headlight repair. They took a tiny bit longer than expected but because of that they didn't charge me for labor. read more

What a wonderful experience. Dino was courteous and professional throughout, and the work done was perfect. And the rental car experience was top notch! I have to agree with the other 5 star reviews. My car door was dented after it was hit by a neighbor while parked. After the insurance appraised the damages I brought it here mostly due to the reviews. I had zero experience with body shops and the industry so I just thought eh... why not. I met Dino, and described what happened to my car and gave him the insurance appraisal. I also figured that since I was at a body shop, I would ask whether or not it was possible to fix a bunch of other things on my car from unrelated incidents. I made it clear that these other things I wanted to fix weren't related to the incident, and that I would be willing to pay to get them fixed. Dino graciously told me not to worry and that they would take care of all of it. I was helped with getting a rental vehicle (in the same building) and told to expect the car to be done in "a few weeks". Minimal effort on my part. I received a call from Dino saying my car was ready for pickup (forgot the exact time frame but it must've been 2 weeks plus or minus one or two days). Went to check my car and was pleasantly surprised to find that the car door and the rest of the things had all been fixed, paint and all. It was quite simply better than I had expected - no complaints from me. Went in to sign off, returned the rental and was good to go! TL;DR, I went in, described what happened, presented the insurance appraisal/check, got a rental, came back two weeks later, and drove away with a fixed car and total cost to me at zero dollars and zero stress. To be fair, perhaps I was lucky and the insurance appraisal was well beyond what it would cost to fix the dent in the first place so an argument could be made that I got suckered. However it definitely did not feel like that and like I said, it was my first time at a body shop and the experience was very smooth and rather effortless on my end. That by itself was more than I could ask for and is the reason for this review. Cheers Dino! read more

This place is just amazing. Everyone seems so nice and friendly. You walk in so stressful and when you have a conversation with Dino, He makes you feel so comfortable and takes the stress off. I can't believe that in today's world there may be a place where people are not looking to make money off you. I had a few scratches on my car and they buffed it for free. Even on insisting they asked for no payment. Can't believe it. Have already recommended it to all my friends even if they had to drive a lot longer. Must visit for anyone who is looking for help with their car. It's a very comfortable and stress free experience. They will take care of you. read more

Deano has literally made terrible days much better for me. He is always going to make you feel like you are in good hands, they can handle anything and will put you in a much better rental than your insurance company will while they fix your vehicle. I couldn't recommend a better body shop for when your day went bad because of an accident. Not only that it they did top notch work on my brand new truck and cleaned and detailed every square inch including the outside. It was literally WAY cleaner than when I picked it up from the dealer. I would recommend anyone and everyone here I really appreciate how well this shop took care of me. read more

I came in with a damaged side view mirror, and within three days the replacement part had arrived. I brought in my car the next day and they replaced the mirror FOR FREE. The best description of this place is "hassle-free." I pulled in based on good reviews to get a small ding on my car fixed. Within minutes Dino met me in the parking lot, spotted what I needed done, and gave me an on the spot quote that didn't need to go through insurance. Within 30 minutes of pulling in, I was out of there with a complimentary loaner car. Fast forward a couple days, and my car was all set. What I assumed would be a long, annoying process was quick and easy. Highly recommend. read more

My experience with Dean's was great. The estimate they gave me was spot on so I didn't have to spend more than expected, the car was done in a timely fashion, the bumper (which was being repaired) looked great afterwards, AND they washed and detailed my car afterwards! (An added bonus-- I forgot to take the GPS out when I left the car with them, and it was still there when I picked it up :) ). Would definitely go back here if I needed them! read more

Dean Auto deserves a thousand stars!!! When backing out of my narrow driveway, My passenger side mirror hit a Fios internet box. My passenger side view mirror glass had shattered. The mirror would still move when I pressed the power button from the inside. All the mechanics nearby charged anywhere from $75-220!!! They said that they would have to replace the whole housing because replacing only the mirror is not possible and could risk damaging the internal motor components. Dino said if I brought in the glass mirror insert, he'd place it in for FREE. To be honest, I was hesitant at first but I'm a student so I took Dino's generous offer. He did an amazing job!!! I could not be happier. The part cost me only $35. I'll definitely return here for any other car issues. read more

Dean Auto Collision Center - Auto Repair Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

Brought my car in for some minor body repair. Dino was out front waiting for my arrival. The check-in process was simple. The one bummer was the estimated time to get the work done, 3 weeks. I trusted this estimate so I did not check in. When the day arrived to pick up my car was not ready, nor had I been contacted in the three weeks. Long story short car was delayed a week from original estimate. When I did pick up car it looked brand new. Considering its a 13 yr old car that is great work. I would recommend Deans. I would just keep in contact to ensure time frames are met. Thank you Dino and Dean's. read more

I had an okay experience. The good things first: They fixed almost everything we had discussed, they covered the rental when my insurance company no longer would, Dino was very nice and professional And the bad: My pickup date got pushed back several times despite me having called to ensure that it would be ready. My insurance did not like working with them, made the process more stressful. Especially since the shop did not communicate issues to me unless I called and spoke to someone. They detailed the interior of my car, but failed to secure several trim pieces that are now out of place, and I will have to secure myself. (Coin tray insert had been removed some securing fasteners broken and it was never reattached just left sitting in the slot, did work on my shifter and when they reattached the cover clearly left black plastic trim stuck in the way of the shifters path) I was assured everything was fixed, but upon leaving the lot my vehicle was braking poorly (an issue we had discussed) I was having to hit the floor with the peddle, and the car was jumping when I did so. My car left the lot braking worse than when I had dropped it off. Tow truck driver that picked it up was floored that they let me leave the lot with such a safety hazard. (It is now at another mechanic having the brakes looked at again) Overall my experience was just okay. Body work was fantastic, and they fixed some additional things at no charge, but I was underwhelmed by mechanical promises madw and disappointed that interior things were left ajar. read more

This place is a menace and should be shut down. They park on the sidewalks. They park illegally. They block traffic. They pull out of the entrance without looking. Whenever I try to speak with anyone, they swear at me and threaten me. STAY AWAY! read more

A big thumbs up! I wish I had a before & after picture of my car! After Dino & his team finished replacing the bumper, fixing the countless dents & scratches my car looked like new! The only thing I recognized was the license plate! I was prepared to trade it in for a new car after I got an estimate from another body shop, but for $250 more Dino did the bumper plus everything else! The best part is this price included a rental & they detailed my car which I was not expecting at all. He and his staff are friendly & professional. Quoted me $750 as the only option to pop out a simple, minor dent in my plastic bumper cover, which turned out to be a $50 job elsewhere. They insisted on total bumper assembly replacement even though it was clearly just the bumper cover. Like most shops, a strong interest was taken in whether insurance was involved or if I was paying out of pocket so they could figure out how much money they could get. read more

I never thought I would write a positive review for a body shop, but this place is definitely worthy. Every couple of years I need to use a body shop (live and drive in the city and it happens). Grudgingly, I've brought cars to places where management has promised quick turnarounds and great communication, while never calling (or calling back) and going weeks over their original finish date. Dean was a whole new ballgame. A woman named Betty (sweetheart BTW) did all of the haggling with the insurance company and made sure the adjuster got his butt out there in quick time. Dean has a rental company IN HOUSE....and at no charge. They put me in a 2013 Accord which was important to me for professional reasons. These first couple of observations put me at ease, yet I was still skeptical. Smoke and mirrors right?...Wrong... My car completion date was given to me honestly and no bold dates were given. They managed my expectations like professionals. While I waited I kept up my appearance to my clients and waited patiently for Dean to get back to me...which they did....to let me know that my car was going to be completed...on time. Imagine that? I would never take another car somewhere else no matter where I lived. I decided to write this review after I called these guys to find out who could change my oil for me without charging me $100 after upselling me ..."bring it in to us. We will take care of it". They said. "how much" I asked "nothing ...thanks for your business". Unbelievable. Class act all the way around. read more
