The CrêpeMaker: The Best in South Florida…read more We just had CrêpeMaker catered our social event at our building. This is the 4th time that we did so. Maria with whom we dealt was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She made everything easy from the time we signed up until the end of the event. Everything was spelled out in detail in the invoice. Since our building has 155 units and about 60 residents showed up, we chose a 120-Crêpe package which came with 1 chef and 1 assistant chef for 2-1/2 hours. They came about 1-1/2 hours prior to the event to set up the Crêpe stand, and operated rain or shine. They organized themselves efficiently: the assistant chef pre made the crêpes on the spot, the chef took orders from each resident and he made 4 at a time. They divided the burners efficiently with one for savory crêpes, and the other for dessert crêpes. They have an incredible menu and offered a variety of interesting crêpes including vegetarian and gluten free. At the end, they packed up leaving the area clean. The process from the beginning to the end was flawless. Our residents loved their crêpes as they were individually made from scratch with fresh ingredients and were delicious. It's like being in Paris. Needless to say, we will request for their catering service again next year.

Only a half block from the busy restaurant row, but giving chill outdoor Parisian cafe vibes…read more While they're known for their crêpes, there is also a pretty comprehensive list of French classics. We ordered a bunch of smaller dishes to share and were quite full at the end! Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée: Really great broth with chunks of caramelized onions. The cheese was plentiful and gooey. The bread wasn't toasted though and a bit thick, so that could have been improved. Escargots: A classic. Loaded with butter, garlic and herbs. Lots of bread offered on the side to soak up that goodness and enjoy a snail on top. Le Tartare de Bœuf: A huge portion! Though I prefer my tartare a little less minced and more like finely chopped. Good flavor though. The greens in the salad were a nice palate cleanser between bites. Gnocchi À La Juju: Shockingly better than Italian gnocchi. Each little gnocchi was nicely seared for a brown and somewhat firm exterior, with a good chewy pillow inside. The sauce was outstanding. Some cream and complex cheeses that are worthy of French culinary techniques. Tartiflette: More cheese and cream. This time with potatoes, onions and bacon. Kind of simple if you think about it, but with really complex tastes.

All I wanted on Mother's Day were crepes from my favorite French bistro LE CREPE BISTRO South…read moreMiami, which I frequent often. 3 of us showed up at 9 am, just as they opened they sat us at a 4 top table. The waitress took our order which consisted of 2 meals, a side of bacon & 2 coffees. My dad only wanted bacon and coffee and my husband and I ordered the meals. Next thing I know the owner comes out & rudely insists we move to a 2 top table which I was confused about and not sure why, but was happy to accommodate. Then he has a conversation with the waitress and comes up to me visibly upset saying "you only ordered 1 meal" and that I can not do that on a busy day I said I ordered more than 1 meal and was shocked as we were the only people there at the restaurant. If they would have simply brought us our food we would have been finished by 9:30am before anyone else showed up. The owner was SO rude that I got so upset so I got up and left. My husband was walking the dog and when he came back to the outside table the owner said I was upset I told my husband to come to the car and we left. The owner ruined my Mother's Day, and I will never come to this place again.
