    Cinnamon roll and matcha.

Umm..super mid to me. The cinnamon roll just didn't stand out. It wasn't bad by any means but I am in no rush to come back. The matcha was decent but could be sweeter. Happy I tried it!

Decided to try a new place today. Especially after I saw a post about the cardamon buns. Well it was meh. The shop is very small inside. Very. So I would take my items to go instead of staying. They do have two tables in there but they have signs next to them that say it's for 2+ guests. The woman at the counter wasn't friendly at all. Like when you tell someone it's your first time there you might get suggestions or something, she just stared. Okay cool. I don't want the red carpet to be rolled out but just a little friendliness, ya know? I ordered one of the "frittatas", olive oil cake and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate came out Luke warm and asked for the cake to be heated up and it wasn't but that's fine. The food actually tasted good. It was just the woman behind the counter just threw the whole vibe off for me . Now did I get the cardamon buns that drew me in? No. Because if I don't feel valued as a customer , why would I spend more money? So would I go out the way to go here again? Nope. If I was near by? Meh.

I had seen this spot all over social media. I knew that I had to try it out. It is next to the design district . As soon as you walk in you notice how small the place is. Limited seating. It was busy with a line. I ordered the cold brew with coconut cold foam and banana bread. The coffee was okay. The banana bread was not that tasty. I spefically came for the cinnamon roll that was sold out. Overall it's a decent cafe . But I expected more. Prices are typical prices for a trendy cafe in Miami. High. Service- Had to wait a while for the order.

Baker and Barista is just as cute as you see in all the TikToks! The store is very simple and modern, service was good and quick. The pizza was delicious!! crust was crispy and cheese was salty and perfectly golden. The spinach and feta pastry was very flaky and flavorful. Spinach tasted fresh and herby, not like the one you buy in a bag. Coffee was good, a little bitter. Matcha was okay but it wasn't ceremonial grade matcha, like a 6/10, it was okay for a cafe matcha. Very yummy, would love to come back and try more items :)

Baker and Barista is such a sweet little spot. I ordered the banana bread, the pumpkin cardamom cake, a matcha latte & an americano and everything was delicious. I have been here a few times now & every single thing I try is always on point. Their matcha is honestly one of the best I have had in Miami. It is a small cafe so it can get busy pretty fast & there is no WiFi, so it is not really a remote work place, but it is perfect for unplugging with a good coffee & a pastry. It is cute, cozy & definitely worth a visit!

10/10 favourite bakery and neighborhood coffee shop in Miami!! We love their matcha latte with honey and oat milk, which is super creamy and the right amount of sweetness without being too sugary (easily our favorite in the city). They also have the absolute best bakery and pastry items! Their chocolate hazelnut croissants are elite!! They definitely sell out of those quickly and make a limited amount. Ambiance is very cute but not a great place to bring a laptop to work since they don't have WiFi and it's pretty small inside.

Sweet & smoky latte topped with black salt - make sure you stir well

Things I tried: Sourdough cinnamon roll - easily one of the best if the not the best cinnamon roll I've had - so good I wish they would mail order them through Goldbelly Sun-dried tomato, pesto, feta "danish" - had that splendid croissant flaky texture with plenty of filling - loved the Italian influence Almond butter & Jam sourdough toast - childhood nostalgia in this one! Loved the from scratch quality of this toast but it was on the firmer side, specially after I traveled a few hours back home and left it in its box on my countertop overnight. I should've plastic film wrapped the box for next day consumption. I'd re-order and recommend any of the baked goods I tried but would most feel inclined towards the cinnamon roll and pesto, sun-dried tomato and feta croissant. Campfire Sweet & Smoky latte - I was eager to try something I never had before until I did. The bakery is very specific as to only preparing hot coffee with this syrup so I ordered as they recommended. It comes sprinkled with black salt. As I drank it I only tasted coffee and oatmilk until I drank more than half of it and then the syrup hit me. The weight of the syrup kept it all in the bottom of the cup so the flavor wasn't infused throughout the latte. If I tried this latte again, I'd make sure to take one of their wooden stirrers and stir away before sipping and if that isn't doing it for me, I'd order the latte with both the sweet & smoky syrup they make it with in addition to either vanilla or mocha. I just know I didn't experience it as it was meant to be. I'm glad that the bakery also does rewards points for purchases if you register. All in all, I'd both recommend and re-visit baker and barista when visiting Miami. Also, they are cashless for payments.

I came in early on a Saturday morning hoping to snag a cinnamon roll, but to my surprise they don't serve them until after 10:30am. That feels a little late if you're looking for something sweet with your morning coffee. Instead, I ordered the veggie frittata, a chocolate almond croissant, and an almond milk latte. The latte was lukewarm at best (I ended up reheating it at home), and the frittata was just okay. The bottom layer had a spongey, oddly spiced texture that wasn't my favorite. The croissant was the best of the bunch: good, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. Prices weren't unreasonable; with tip, my total was $24 for three items. Ambience-wise, I can't speak too much since I was there at 8:15am when it was nearly empty. The space itself is open enough for a quick grab-and-go, though I could see it feeling crowded later in the day. Personally, I prefer not to fight for space when I'm just trying to enjoy a coffee. Overall: not terrible, not amazing, just middle of the road. I wish I had known about the cinnamon roll timing ahead of time because I probably would have skipped the trip rather than spend it on mediocre pastries.

Sweet coffee shop and bakery. This is a small shop close to the design district. They have some good selection of pastries - chocolate/almond croissants, sourdough cinnamon rolls, savory pastries and pizza too. They also have Coffee & tea choices as well. The staffs or owners? there are lovely - so friendly and nice. I had a matcha and berry tart that has a short bread consistency, it was pretty good 8/10. Matcha was good 8/10. NE 2nd Ave is a cute street to walk down on and surrounding neighborhood has lots to explore. Overall lovely place, I'd like to come back when I'm in town next.

The coffee is pretty good here as well as the matcha. I can tell they use higher quality beans. The breads were good too! The pizza bread was a bit too salty and cheesy for us, but the focaccia was delicious! I will say it's on the pricier side so be prepared to spend some money.

Such a wonderful experience here! Run to the whipped coconut cold brew..it tastes like a coconut milkshake! The barista was very friendly and the woman at the register was helpful. I also tried their chocolate chip cookie sprinkled with sea salt. Their sourdough margherita is delicious and they warm it up for you! They were out of the breads and alot of the pastries so you just come early! I liked sitting at the barstools near the window. Just wish the scenery was better! All in all great experience.

This is hands down the BEST bakery in all of South Florida! We have visited many bakeries throughout the area and none compare to this. The staff is nice and friendly and all of their baked goods are exceptional! The chocolate almond croissants are my all time favorite but all of the other pastries are top notch.

    Patricia M.

Been a long time fan of their work, from mortadella sandwiches to their whipped coconut cream iced coffee and the crippling shakerato addiction I fight daily. I love this place! Their sourdough cinnamon rolls are the best in the city. No wifi, not that type of place and that's perfect for a neighborhood gem. The owners take pride in their work and it shows.

And speaking just to the vibe of the restaurant, this place is like heaven on earth. The perfect brunch spot. The menu was nice and simple with a number of options that will satisfy anybody. The prices are exorbitant. This was expected so it's not a hindrance to us enjoying the meal. Our precious waitress was appropriately named Precious and she was attentive, sweet, and gave awesome recommendations of what we should order. We were immediately given water and I ordered two drinks, a bloody Mary and an iced latte. Both of these drinks were exceptional. The bloody Mary was very well spiced just the way I like it with a nicely rimmed glass and garnish of celery, olive bacon and shrimp. There are certainly vodka that I like better, but as far as flavor went, this one was unbeatable. My wife ordered an espresso martini which she also enjoyed although I've seen it pictures with coffee beans in it and hers did not have any. I feel an espresso martini loses its authenticity without the coffee beans. My way or the Chia bowl and I ordered the steak and eggs. This is not the steak and eggs that grandma served me. This is a perfectly cooked churasco steak with a couple of medium eggs done just the way I wanted them and some truffle fries and tomato. Timmy truffle fries are good but do not speak breakfast. I would've preferred another potato option. The steak was good but a little tough. The meal tasted good, but I would not say great. My wife ordered a Chia bowl which was a tiny portion, but she did enjoy it. Overall, the meal was good, but it did not nearly approach the perfection that one would expect at this price point. In addition without asking us, they poured two glasses of water and apparently have a charge for water. Whether you drink it or not. I'm not sure that there is any Goodwill in charging two dollars for water when people are enjoying $120 breakfast. I would love to give this place five stars, but I cannot based on the food itself, compared to the high expectation for a very high priced brunch. The four stars are primarily for the wonderful service and the incredibly beautiful vibe. I really like the location and I loved the ambience of the restaurant, but I don't expect that I will be back as the neighborhood is filled with beautiful restaurants to choose from.

We made a reservation last week and chose indoor seating, due to the Miami summer heat and humidity. The patio is SO very GoRgEoUs! The lush flowery landscape and canape are TDF...like a victorian lady's fever dream. Plush outdoor couches, beautifully appointed table dressings, WOW! We were sat immediately by the friendly chatty staff in the beautiful dining room. Our waitress is "Precious", well named. She steered us right add recommended drinks and the like for our taste. Table water will cost you $1 per person. I asked what type of vodka they have. It is "wine vodka?!" She states it is "wine based", so from grapes (decidedly NOT vodka haha) I choose an espresso martini, entirely delicious, but small and without the usual three coffee bean garnish. Pricy, but I'd get it again. Hubby gets a special coffee and a Bloody Mary. The latter came with shrimp, bacon & veggie, celery. He loved it! Timing was great, no rush tho it's busy. Wait staff Precious brings water for our service animal Ashoka, who dutifully remained hidden undertable, as always a very good girl! I got Chia pudding for my first time, small and pricy, but very enjoyable. Hubby had steak & eggs. He also enjoyed it thoroughly! We really enjoyed our posh brunch today at Little Hen. I recommend it for a fine splurge, but at around $100 for two, it's a special occasion deal. Check it out for a bday or similar, and be prepared to pay for your experience. *Expert tip-come early to find parking--it's a super popular new area! Thx 4 following me.
