This was my second time at RivaReno and I got mixed feelings. In this occasion, I had their mango and double chocolate flavors. The mango was spot on, fruit was coming straight forward and it was creamy as it should be, pretty delicious actually. On the other hand, the double chocolate was average. It was not creamy in my opinion, it was just buttery but not creamy. I know double chocolate flavors are usually made with cocoa that is higher in fat, but this one was really high. My palate was being coated, it was not a good dark chocolate where you keep coming back for more. I should have sticked to the pistachio instead. In terms of pricing, $9+ for a small cup like this one is on the expensive side of things. Yes, I understand the premium because of the area, but I still find it expensive given it is not the best gelato I have had in Miami. I appreciate they allow 2 flavors, some places are firm on a single flavor. All in all, i will get my default flavor next time, pistachio. That one is great. read more

I'm glad my dessert here far exceeded my expectations. The employee working familiarized us with the available flavors and offered as many samples as we needed. Every flavor was fresh and clearly had high-quality ingredients. The menu offers crepes and waffles in addition to standard cup/cone options. I decided on a crepe with two scoops: Pistachio and Fior di Panna. I chose caramel, crushed hazelnut, and strawberries for my included drizzle and toppings. I'm pretty critical with desserts, but this was made perfectly. The crepe was warm and fresh since they're made per order. The gelato was decadent and flavorful without being extremely heavy. The price point is definitely high (my crepe just under $20), but that's pretty standard for pricing in Brickell. I'd definitely revisit if I'm in the area again. read more
