I stopped by Bianco Gelato while staying in Coconut Grove in Miami. I ordered the vegan dark chocolate gelato, which was excellent. It was rich, creamy, and tasted just like regular gelato even though it had no animal products. That was a nice surprise, since vegan desserts can sometimes fall short, but this one did not. The gelato is definitely on the pricier side, but that is not unexpected for Coconut Grove. The quality came close to matching the price in my view. They also give a complimentary cookie wafer with each gelato, which was a nice touch. The shop itself has a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. It was a bit hot outside when I visited, so I chose to sit inside, which was comfortable. The staff was also very nice, which made the visit even better. Altogether, I would definitely recommend Bianco Gelato if in Coconut Grove and looking for a high-quality gelato. read more

As a tart froyo lover, the yogurt passionfruit was amazing! We got two scoops (yogurt passionfruit and lemon sorbet) which was the perfect refreshing combo. We were looking for an after dinner treat and found this spot near by. Great little spot. Friendly staff, clean shop and a variety of flavors. I ordered the pitascho Gelato, which was refreshing and tasted really good. I especially loved the prices! We walked away from another spot because I just couldn't see myself paying a ridiculous price for a small cup and the price here was great! Not only that, I did sample the coffee flavor at both shops and this spot definitely had the best flavor on the coffee Gelato, but since I love pitascho I went with that. My husband got a cup of the chocolate mint and he actually enjoyed it. He never had Gelato before, so for him to try it and actually enjoy it says a lot. With no pistachio in sight I chose the blue milk and cookies (yes blue like Cookie Monster). I could taste the blue food coloring; however, there are a lot of cookies mixed in. Bianco Gelato is a small family business locate in coconut grove. They make gelato with no chemical or artificial ingredients, 100% organic, no GMOs, and they offer sugar free options too. Inside the small gelato store, you'll find a limited selection of gelato and sorbetti. We tried different flavors and decided to buy two small cups with two scoops of cioccolato and pistacchio and nocciola and coconut. The gelato felt really healthy and no over sweet! The flavors were on point too! You can actually tell you were eating actually gelato made from real pistachio, hazelnut, coconut and really good chocolate! Overall pretty good! The only "bad" thing I can say is that the gelato are missing the creaminess gelato has but I guess that's what happens when you get a more healthy version. read more

There is metered street parking available nearby and some sleazy parking lots as well that have sings saying $5 parking, but failing to highlight that in small print that is only for the first hour. Anyway, this is a very nice ice cream shop. They have indoor seating and patio seating outside on the sidewalk as well. I chose to eat outside under the umbrella.. They have a wide assortment of Gelato that you can get in a cup or a cone. They also have popsicles, smoothies and brownies. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The assisted me in deciding what I wanted to go with. They have some unique flavors. I was intrigued by the Grapefruit flavor. After tasting the sample I was given, mmmmmmm, I decided to go with that. I will admit that the scoops are a bit smaller than normal, so you may want to buy one size bigger than you normally get. My ice cream was delicious. It was fresh and I the first Grapefruit flavored ice cream that I ever had. This is definitely a place worthy and capable of satisfying your frozen sweet tooth. read more

Honestly, it's not my thing at all, and there were icy crystals inside the gelato which means it wasn't fresh. Cute little ice cream shop serving very tasty gelato. I must admit, each flavor I tasted was absolutely delicious. The coconut flavor came with coconut flakes and was very smooth and creamy. The cookies and cream flavor had nice chunks of Oreo cookies embedded in a blue batter (apparently infused with some sort of algae to give it its color) with a taste that reminded me of when I just to dunk my Oreos in milk as a child. Saw this ice cream store by chance. It is not a very bright store. They have some special flavors like sea salt and milk (forgot the name but its blue one). I got two spoons of creme flavor, which is like vallana but better. Originally I ordered a cone ice cream but Actually it melted once they were out of the container and couldn't even come into a ball shape so I had to put them in a bowl and put a cone on them. My co-worker has been raving about this little gelato shop for some time, and luckily for us its located walking distance from our job, so we decided to go for a nice break. Located off Commodore avenue in Coconut Grove, the shop looks like something from Martha's Vineyard a nice and peaceful interior. The main concept here is organic and natural flavors and man you can taste it with every scoop. The best part of this place they give you the nutritional facts for each flavor and how many scoops is recommended. After sampling several flavors I decided to choose the butter pecan with one scoop. Each of the flavors was equally delicious. Then, after visiting Bianco Gelato several more times, one day I discovered their almond granite, and at that very moment... Hands down delicious all natural artisan gelato. I'm a sucker for gelato and had no idea this place existed! My favorite part about it was the cute toys and knicks that they were selling in addition to the ice cream. They carried brands like Natural Life (which you can often find at any Francesca's store) and Melissa & Doug( my go to for kids toys-so great). Service was good. They were helpful and knowledgeable and allowed me to try multiple flavors. I loved how they had vegan flavors. Kudos to people recognizing vegans and plant based people!:) I only took a star off because of cost. It was rather pricey and I paid $0.75 for chocolate chips to add on my gelato and the amount they put was not worth $0.75, sorry to say...maybe $0.25 worth but surely not $0.75.
