The Salt and Straw is an ice cream shop located in Wynwood. They have a bunch of creative flavor options to try. I had the strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper. It was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly balanced and each bite was amazing. Highly recommend!
Definitely recommend this spot. Cute, clean and friendly customer service. The taco was good. I'm just not a fan of cinnamon ice-cream otherwise it would've been amazing. Try it for yourself and let me know
I've been wanting to come to salt and straw since I heard about them, but being in the DC region, we don't have them! came here after grabbing pizza at Joe's Pizza 2 stores down. perfect way to end the night. one person will assist your whole group in tasing and scooping your ice cream. we got to taste a variety of the ice cream available and got our small scoops of choice. I got the mint chip, which was delicious! it is made of coconut milk so it was a little icier, but still creamy so it worked out really well. I can't wait to try their other flavors.
I don't think the word obsessed is enough to describe my emotions towards this ice cream. Omg it is great!!! They do have seasonal flavors that rotate. So there will always be something new to taste. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted and offered to sample whichever flavor might be intriguing. The place is small but inviting. All the flavors are listed up on the board. My favorite with these new seasonal flavor is the cocoa nibs and frangipane ice cream. The cocoa nibs give it this delicious bitter crunch. If you like chocolate nibs, this is for you! And the frangipane gives it a very robust flavor of almond. It is my favorite by far. Left with 4 pints so... nuff said. Always love coming here for ice cream! Check em out!!!
A great spot to grab something sweet in Wynwood! I love Salt & Straw's ice cream and am so happy they have a location in such an iconic neighborhood in Miami. It's in such an ideal location with being right near two very popular spots- Uchi & Kyu. I've been here a few times but have recently visited for something sweet after a bday dinner at Uchi. It was the perfect way to end the night! It was during the Halloween season so their seasonal flavors for this time were out. We got to sample a few and ended up getting the classic Creepy Crawly Critters flavor which is a matcha ice cream base with chocolate covered... you guessed it, creepy crawlers! If you're looking for a quick pick up to-go, they have a fridge section to the left as soon as you walk in and it was easy for us to grab our favorite- honey lavender. The service was fast and friendly and if you the inside was spacious and clean. A great spot to visit in Wynwood!
My first Salt & Straw experience!! I got a single split scoop - the Great Cookie Swap (coconut cream, holiday cookies, biscoff cookie butter) and the Salty Donut Guava and Cheese (cream cheese ice cream, brioche donut chunks, guava curd, and puff pastry streusel). Note that the split scoop is an additional 50 cents. The flavors were so, so good. The Great Cookie Swap was a limited edition flavor and it was silky and creamy with chunks of cookie. The Salty Donut Guava and Cheese was my favorite - the perfect blend of salty and sweet.
I'm from Portland, Salt and Straw is my favorite ice cream, been waiting years to get it again, idk why there isn't a location in Austin TX, yada yada yada. I had expectations to get some amazing ice cream from Salt and Straw. I was very disappointed with this location... The merchandise table was basically empty The freezer of pints was definitely empty Service was fine, but our server had ear pods in and seemed very disinterested in being there. The scoops that we got had large ice crystals in them Very displeased with what we expected to be much better being unenjoyable. You're meant to be happy when eating ice cream and we didn't get that this time. Do better!
Amazing icecream ! I can not believe I haven't been here before. I tried three flavors and it was so hard to make a final decision because ALL the flavors I sampled were delicious. I tried Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, Sea Salt w/ Carmel Ribbons and The Salty Donut Guava and Cheese. My favorite was the Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons. I can not wait to comeback.
This ice cream shop was a find on a hot day in Wynwood. The guy working there was very sweet (pun not intended) and they give unlimited and generous sample tastes. They have these cute little slots under the counter where you deposit your sample spoons (which are made of metal, not the usual plastic, so much better for the environment and nicer to use). They have a lot of extremely creative flavors, which usually means artificial colors and tastes, but not here! The ice cream is very high quality and just the right amount of sweetness. I especially liked the vanilla one with sea salt and caramel ripples. I normally have to include chocolate in any kind of dessert so if I am saying a dessert without chocolate was good, then it really was! Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Tons of Salt & Straw merchandise too including clothing, accessories, pins, perfume, ice cream scoop, ice cream canteen, candles and their famous cookbook. There were several flavors we wanted to try so we opted for the ice cream flight option. BRILLIANT. We ended up getting the guanabana straciatella, honey lavender, coconut & pandan, the salty donut guava + cheese. Great way to sample so many different flavors. My favorite was the coconut & pandan and the honey lavender. Service was great. The girl who put together our ice cream flight was very sweet. Highly recommend getting a flight if your friends are open to try new flavors. The cost is $16 for the flight and you get 4 different scoops. A single scoop will cost you $6.95. Ouch. Flight is totally worth it.
Salt & Straw is a staple spot for good quality ice cream and fun flavors. I love that you're able to try a little of everything and the staff is always cool. This place is a spot you typically take out, there aren't a ton of spots to hang out. Parking can also be tricky but there might be garages or street parking nearby! I love their seasonal flavors. I love their pie ice cream flavors and the birthday cake ice cream! SO GOOD! read more

My friend really wanted ice cream and this place was nearby. In real Miami fashion we walked in to a DJ blaring some fun dance jams and were greeted by a prize wheel to spin for their free collab with Santo Dulce churros. I definitely had to try the churros/ice cream collaboration. It was everything. Just far more expensive for ice cream than expected. read more

I got the Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbon in a cone--definitely recommend getting the cone. The ice cream was delicious: you could taste the salt without it being overpowering, and the caramel was thick and creamy. It's a bit pricey for ice cream but the portion was generous and worth it. The area is super cute too, with lots of families and kids around--a fun, family-friendly spot that's also great for a date or a walk in the park. read more

Salt & Straw is just on another level of Ice Cream. This particular location is conveniently located next to Joe's Pizza which is a mighty One Two Punch. As I took the kids for pizza the obvious progression was Ice Cream and Salt & Straw was the obvious choice. They have a great system for trying any flavor and dropping the spoons in a little hole in front of you. They are very generous with their tasting samples. Allowing for each sample to grab as much mixtures as possible. Their flavors are also very top level. From Chocolate Gooey Brownie to Green Fennel and Maple. They have a wide variety to please the uneducated palate to an ice cream connoisseur. Either way you can't go wrong. Staff is super friendly and the place is always clean and super organized. They even sell pints in case a couple of scoops is not enough. A must try when in the area! read more

I went as a late night sweet treat, and it left a good first impression on me! I think they have a good balance between traditional, creative, and rotational flavors. (I had the honey lavender, and I loved it) The service was lovely, the lady who helped us offered samples, and was kind. A single scoop of ice cream was a bit pricey at $6.50, and a double is $8.50. The ice cream quality/flavor is worth the price, in my opinion. Also a single felt sufficient. Overall the shop itself is looks very clean and I liked the vibe! read more
One of my favorite ice cream shops in Wynwood! I love that they have special flavors that change in addition to their regular flavors, it keeps me coming back for more! I do wish their selection was larger but the flavors they do have are really good. My favorite of all time has been the holiday frozen hot peppermint chocolate, literally counting the days until the holidays to go have it. The service is always friendly and they let you try as many flavors as you want before going for one. read more

Omgggg such good ice cream!!! We came in 15 minutes before they were closing (I know, I'm sorry) so I was expecting some impatient workers ready for us to get out but they were beyond kind and happily let us sample many flavors. Everything was insanely good. The guava + cheese was 10/10, as was the almond brittle. And the chocolate gooey brownie. Based on everything I tasted, it's safe to say they're all delicious. They even had a potato salad flavor that blew my mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

So yummy! Whenever I'm in a city that has salt and straw I always try to navigate there. The cones are the best anywhere, the vanilla shines through and it's the perfect amount of crunch. The cinnamon has pieces of cookie and I had to restrain myself from eating the whole thing at once. If you are ever near one make sure you leave room for dessert! read more

My favorite ice cream shop in Wynwood! I probably come here at least once a week for a sweet treat and to remind my self that it's okay to have sweets! I've been to this location a lot of times now and every-time I come, the shop is always clean. The staff is great! You can sample ice cream if you wanted to and drop off the spoons in the holes by the counter. The flavors here are very good! They do have some ice cream flavors that you would have never thought of it being in an ice cream flavor. However, don't be afraid to give it a try! My ultimate favorite flavors to get in Salt & Straw is the honey lavender and the panther coffee ice cream. I have also tried the arbequina olive oil and strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper. But nothing can top my two favorite flavors. read more

We love to stop by here after dinner at our nearby restaurants. It's our go-to for ice cream when in Wynwood. Service is awesome and you're even encouraged to try all of the flavors. You can smell the delicious cones inviting you in from The street. Lots of flavors from classic, artisanal and seasonal flavors. HUGE portions...I had one scoop of sea salt with caramel ribbons (to die for btw) and it filled the entire cone! read more
This place is one of my new favorite spots!!! I came here after Smorgasburg with a group of my friends and we had a great time. The flavors of ice cream were pretty diverse. Any one would definitely find something that they'd like. They have quite a few standard variations of Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate. What impressed me most was how many different combinations they had available. I tried the mango habanero IPA sorbet as well as the strawberry balsamic with black pepper. Both has a peculiar taste that's was perfect for the summer. The only reason I wouldn't give this place five stars is the lack of seating. Otherwise, a great spot for I e cream. This yummy dessert place has a cozy and inviting esthetic. When you walk in the workers, great you and offer you samplings of their many delicious and one of a kind flavor combinations, enticing your taste buds leaving you wanting for more. The staff are very accommodating they will offer suggestions and I even asked our what his favorite flavor, and it was delicious. They're open late and will quench your late night cravings for ice cream. read more

the Honduran girl was really nice when she served me the ice cream however, one thing to note was that there was an actual eyelash that was inside of the ice cream but you know I didn't want to waste the food so I just ended up eating the rest anyways, after taking it out. I will say that the service was very nice and that the atmosphere overall pretty warm. read more

I love when you can try a few flavors to decided, and the other flavors I tried were also delicious. It is a small store so we ate right outside, which was fine by me.
