I ordered a simple milkshake. When I took my first sip it had the consistency of milk, not a milkshake. So I went back inside to let them know. I was told, "Sorry but the machine is strong." He didn't offer to fix it or anything. So I'm writing this review with the hope that they will improve their customer service. read more

This store is a bit small, but offers some custom flavors that will change in and out from time to time. There's street parking as well as a public lot just south a block which maybe a better choice since street parking can be crazy sometimes. Most of the time you'll see Orthodox Jews in here...in fact, that's most of their business, and most of the businesses focused in this strip just south of Bal Harbor Shops. Service has always been friendly and courteous and well, their ice cream is really good. read more

Greetings fellow yelpers, it hurts me to leave a bad rating on an establishment in a neighborhood very fond to me, but this must be addressed. I ordered a mango smoothie, and had high expectations for ten dollars. When I had the first sip I was devastated. The texture was off and there was absolutely no flavor except for something that resembled the water in Flint Michigan. Safe to say I won't be coming back to Serendipity yogurt cafe. read more

Pricey for what you get. Average taste. Usually these small shops make up for it with their customer service. But that was lacking here.

While venturing down Harding Avenue, we discovered this place. We stopped in because we thought they had a specific type of ice cream according to what we saw online. It also had a visual appeal that drew us to it. When we entered the shop, the attendant was not at all friendly. Though the place was empty for the duration of our visit, she did not greet us or anything. We began dialogue with her by asking about ice cream flavors. She was most unhelpful and almost gave the impression that she did not want our business. If it had been up to me, I would have left without patronizing this place and gladly taken my money elsewhere. The only reason that we even stepped foot inside of the place is because we were doing the vacation tourist thing. Nevertheless, we ordered a scoop of ice cream. While the place had a cute little ice cream shop appeal, the customer service was completely lacking. In addition to not being greeted initially, she did not say thanks for your business, enjoy, and/or come again. Even if you don't mean it, isn't that business etiquette 101? To be quite honest, the ice cream was subpar in my opinion. I thought it tasted more like ice milk at best. It was also overpriced. Even if the ice cream had been outstanding, when visiting, I would never patronize the place again. Even if I was with someone who was paying, I would discourage them from patronizing this place as well. read more

This is a super cute yogart ice cream place. Mostly visited by surfside and bal harbor residents. They are kosher. My favorite treat is the smooth peanut butter and chocolate comvo with chocolate sprinkles. They have other flavors of course and other goodies. They also have a small section where they sell candy. There is two small tables for seating outside. Make sure you look up their hours before coming because they observe jewish holidays and hours so make sure theyre open. read more

Befitting my self-title of Dessert Snob, it's fitting I close out my 2015 Reviews with a Gelato spot. I (alliteration alert) serendipitously found the Serendipity Popup in Wynwood while Baseling, and stopped in for a sweet cool down. The Wynwood space is geared toward to go orders since the space is just a counter, though they do have a few seats outside. Both employees were pleasant, and helpful with the free samples. I ordered two scoops of RubyRedRaz and Tickled Pink. The flavor mix of Raspberry, Ruby Red Orange and prickly pear was refreshing without being overwhelmingly sweet and the scoops were a decent size. I look forward to the Wynwood space expanding, or checking out the main store! read more

Had a nice shake here today and it was even kosher! Found it accidentally when we were going to a Starbucks and re-decided and had a pizza slice next door and then went into that place as we were craving something sweet. So we checked in and I ordered a cookie 'n cream milkshake, my girlfriend some pumpkin spiced ice cream. Have to say, it was not the cheapest place, the small ice cream cup was like almost four bucks, if I remember correctly and my shake 6 bucks. Well, nevertheless it is kosher - so I imagine that's why it was a bit more expensive than expected. The ice cream tasted pretty awesome and the shake was also good. They have only one size, but when he was done, he had like a ten ounce cup leftover which he also handed me over the counter. So six bucks is not that expensive after all.... A small yogurt shop with a cozy and cutely decorated storefront. The yogurt is all non-fat and delicious!! They have the staples of chocolate and vanilla, but then have other flavors like cookes & cream and peanut butter (which is the best by the way). There's also ice cream, coffee drinks, candy and yogurt pies. I got a medium cup thinking it would be a decent size and it was HUGE they really give you your money's worth of yogurt! The toppings are great too, from mini m&ms to granola to chocolate covered espresso beans. The girl behind the counter was really nice and friendly. The decor gives the store a cozy feeling that makes you want to just sit down right there and fully enjoy your treat to its fullest. Will totally be going back! read more

It's not the best but it's still good. Small adorable little place that's good to stop in after lunch at another nearby restaurant. I had the drunken chocolate ice cream - apparently it's chocolate ice cream with whiskey. Honestly tasted like any other chocolate ice cream. My cousin had the cookie dough ice cream and said there was hardly any cookie dough in it. I think it's a bit overpriced for what tastes like ordinary ice cream. But, it's not bad. I'll surely pass by here again sometime. read more

"Friday: 11am to sundown".. Unfortunately, We showed up at 11:30am and they were still closed.. We had a really tight time frame.. Nice, quaint ice cream shop in Surfside, close to where I'm staying. There isn't as big of a variety as far as flavors and toppings like Coldstone or Marbleslab but I appreciate the local business. They have some unique flavors you can sample. I chose the two scoop option with cereal milk with brownie bits as a topping. Despite cereal milk sounding just like plain vanilla it had a subtle and unique taste that made it stand out to me. Boujee vanilla. The brownie bits were a nice compliment although a lot of it was brownie crumbles rather than intact squares which is what I preferred. The owner was nice and pleasant. I would come back again! Hopefully the toppings will be refreshed. I'm not sure how often they change the available flavors or if it's always the same. read more

Walking around Harding Avenue after dinner, I decided to stop in to Serendipity for some ice cream. Having walked by several times before, I was enticed by their low key charm, and assortment of ice cream flavors on their window. However, being lactose intolerant, I tend to shy away from ice cream as much as possible. So, much to my surprise, Serendipity not only had dairy-free ice cream, but had it in flavors I'd never encountered in the dairy-free variety before such as cotton candy. After much consideration, I eventually decided on a 2 scoop sugar cone, with one scoop being cotton candy, and the other, cookies and cream. The ice cream was absolutely delicious. Not only was it great by dairy-free standards, as it was among the best DF ice cream I've ever had, but it would have been great regular ice cream too. Creamy, soft, sugary goodness. Service was excellent and more than helpful, and prices were very reasonable, around $5 for my cone. I will absolutely be returning to this location again, and am so happy to have found a place that offers such a great variety of ice cream flavors that fit my dietary restrictions. read more

I was at Serendipity yesterday and the girl working behind the counter had no masks or gloves. I asked her where her mask is ( as the sign on the door says masks must be worn ) and she said she refuses to wear a mask and then became nasty towards me telling me in a nasty tone that I'm "buying into the fear ". I've visited Serendipity twice, and I'm definitely a fan. The after-school crowd can make this place a bit hectic, so plan accordingly. I really like their Serendipity flavor, which is the plain, tart one. I've also tried the Dulce de Leche, which was very good too. One of the things I really like is that they're generous with the toppings. I normally don't get toppings, but my sister did and I liked to see that they didn't just sprinkle a few little bits on top. I mean, who wants to run out and be left with only the yogurt if you were looking forward to the toppings too? The location is good. It's not an area I visit often, but Harding is a cute street in Surfside with a lot of shops and restaurants. Parking is usually easy - street side with payment in the machine. The ambience inside is very cute. It's whimsical! And, they've got candy galore! I can see why the after-school kids love this place. Really, the only downside to me is that it's a bit pricey - $4 for a small. Maybe that's the going rate, I don't know, but it seems high. Oh well, it's a once in a while treat, so I'm ok with it. read more

I recently started going to Serendipity when visiting my family in Florida. I am a big frozen yogurt fan and am always looking for great places wherever I go. Serendipity is high on my list of favorite places. The flavors are so creative and homemade. The staff there is also super friendly and a pleasure to be around. Recently they have some new flavors that enjoy. I love the salted caramel and butter pecan. I also tasted the sweet potato and marshmallows which sounds odd, but its actually delicious! I highly recommend you check this place out if you like yogurt. You won't be disappointed. read more

Lady behind the counter was extra rude. Nothing to scream about here. I don't know why we still spent $$ here after the rude treatment from the time we walked in. It was mostly just dirty looks as though we were going to waste her time and not order anything. One of the kids asked to taste one of the flavours and you could flat out tell she was annoyed by us asking. 2 adults 2 kids. Crusin' down Harding Avenue, windows down, power 96 on blast, and the smell of suntan oil, all I was missing was some ice cream! I would like to thank the 30 mile per hour speed limit for allowing me to find this sweet little spot, if I had gone any faster and blinked I am almost sure I would have missed it. I parked in one of the meters across and walked over to the shop. As soon as you enter there is this cozy home like feel, everything is pale pink and antique. The menu is on chalkboard which I love, I hate when things are too commercial. So many flavors I really didn't know what to have, actually I didn't know if it was ice cream, or yogurt like the yo-plait kind. I explained to the girl at the counter that this was my first time so she quickly went through the selection of flavors. I decided to go with the peanut butter yogurt with colorful sprinkles, I absolutely loved that she put sprinkles on the bottom before the ice cream a sweet surprise when you scrape the cup for more! The smallest size was $4 dollars and with sprinkles it came out to $5 with tax. They have cute little chairs to sit down, I decided to take my treat on the go. They also have tea and coffee aswell as non dairy selections. Finding this little gem was the perfect end to my date with the beach! read more

They've got the best tasting vanilla froyo I've had in awhile. Added to that was Oreo and Heath Bar bits at the bottom of the cup and caked to the sides of a beautiful swirl top. This distribution of toppings to froyo made for the perfect bite, every time! read more

The place is really cute and the staff was very nice. That being said the ice cream was terrible and/or uninspiring which is not what you want to have for the amount of calories. The lady said the owner was pregnant and had not been able to make fresh ice cream in a while that could have something to do with it. I also tried the frozen yogurt and it was melting and the flavors were awful. We bought the flavored popcorn and it was by unanimous consent awful. I will not return. I can just walk across the street and get ice cream at Publix since this ice cream is in that ball park of flavor. read more
