I found this hidden gem because it's close to another restaurant I frequent. I love getting the avocado smoothie and matcha. I get them with little or no sugar with oat milk. My husband loves the Vietnamese coffee. For the kids we get the coconut pandan waffle which is so good, not overly buttery or heavy. The perfect snack. Whenever I go I order through the kiosk and someone brings out the order when it is ready.
It's been a very long time since I've had anything at this place. Last time I just remember having a gout attack so I avoided this place like I was allergic. Today I would try it again, but just being careful and not ordering the things that are triggers for me. I got the D3. Sweet Thai and a blended Vietnamese Hazelnut. Because I took it to go and it was a little hot, my Sweet Thai melted a bit by the time I got home, but it was still very refreshing. All the jellies and coconut milk with the crushed ice hit the spot. The blended Vietnamese hazelnut was also very good. It was nice that they blended it for me because the smoothie texture was perfect and stayed cold. Just crossing my fingers that I don't have a gout attack and if I don't, I'll come back more often.
I usually order the Sweet Avocado, but on my visit today, the drink came with three large slices of avocado. I wondered why they hadn't cut the avocado into smaller pieces, but when I took a bite, I realized it was because the avocado was still hard. I brought the drink back and asked if they could remake it since the avocado wasn't ripe. The cashier was very apologetic and immediately agreed. I mentioned that I'd rather order a different drink if they didn't have ripe avocados. She checked with the kitchen and came back right away to let me know they didn't have any ripe avocados. I ended up ordering the Jelly Coco instead. It was my first time trying it, and I actually enjoyed it. The coconut water was refreshing, but it didn't have many toppings. Aside from the coconut meat and basil seeds, there were only a few pieces of lychee. I do wish they would temporarily remove the Sweet Avocado from the menu if they know they don't have ripe avocados. It would save customers from ordering something that can't be made properly.
This place is truly a hidden gem. You wear a lot about boba shops and coffee shops, but this place is more unique in that it's got vietnamese-inspired che. When I'm feeling something more refreshing with more of an icyness or something to chew on, I go here. I loved their coconut and pandan drinks and everything is so refreshing. There is indoor seating and it's always got a crowd, especially during the summer time. The staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking in the lot. The only negative is that the prices are pretty high for a drink, but given the amount and type of ingredients, it kind of makes sense!
Went on a Friday afternoon. Nobody inside. Placed an order with ice on the side for everything. The drinks were sealed. Ice in a bag. Super convenient. No issues. Would recommend and would come back if I wanted a dessert/drink with all the jellies and deliciousness
This place is really good! They have yummy che and drinks. I think the che could be sweeter and creamier but the toppings are super yummy. All the drinks we got were yummy too, but I got the toffee Creme Brulee drink and it could've been better with coffee or as milk tea. The base of it is just milk with boba and very light crème brûlée topping. The honeycomb is excellent though! The pandan waffle was also good but is more fluffy and American waffle-like and lacking sweetness and pandan flavor. I enjoyed it but might not order it again.
It's been hot this week so I needed to get some thing to cool me down! I was craving some Vietnamese dessert and DD Mau is the best place locally to get some ché. I ordered the chewy Pandan for myself and a sweet avocado for my sister. The Pandan tapioca was delicious, I love how chewy it was! The dessert hit the spot, not overly sweet and just the right amount of flavor to curb my sweet cravings. I tried some of my sister's sweet avocado and it was equally delicious. I like the self ordering station, place your order, tap to pay and wait for your order to be made. Small business so there's a few seats inside to enjoy your dessert.
When you're craving for something sweet with variety, I would recommend coming here! We love the sweet thai and their other varieties because it comes with a lot of toppings/mix-ins already. The creaminess of the avocado smoothie is great, and the boba was perfect-- fresh, chewy, and hot. For snacks, I love the taste of their coconut pandan waffle but do wish it was crispier. We used the self service kiosk to order and wait time was decent-- around 10 minutes with one person ahead of us. Seating is adequate since there's usually not many people that stay to eat or drink. I tend to see more people grab and go.
A personal local favorite boba place and a spin off from a franchise. I've been coming here for a long time even before the changes. Simple choices, not a dizzying array of smoothie, milk tea, and other concoctions enough to stop you in your tracks and hold up a long line behind you. The drinks are all Fresh and Good!! I mean fresh as in real avocado and real mango; not powder. The place is tiny, so it looks more like a take out joint As a group, you would fill the whole place as there are only 3 tables with a few seats and a bench. In the summer, there used to be a bench outside to seat whilst waiting for your order. I have converted quite a few of my fellow boba lovers, now they only want the drinks from here. These place gets crowded as it gets hot outside because their drinks are the coolest!!
Came on a Saturday night and found parking right away. Lot is small and I could see it filling up during peak hours. The place was nice and clean. They have some tables inside. I got the sweet avocado and it wasn't my favorite thing. I usually love avocados but it just wasn't hitting the spot for me. I love Vietnamese desserts so I def have to come back and try something else!
The drinks here are consistently delicious! When you walk in, there may not be someone at the counter. However, there is a tablet available to order. We went with our favorite, Sweet Thai and did not change the sweetness level. The Sweet Thai is made with coconut milk and included, jackfruit, logan, coconut, palm seed, red tapioca, pandan jelly, and basil seed. It's definitely a hearty and delicious drink. A must try are the pandan waffles. Crispy on the outside and so tasty. There are a couple of tables inside. The place is a bit worn from when we last visited, but still worth going.
The place to get your choice of drinks and pandan waffle. So many choices including che, boba tea, matcha, and more. Come in and pick from their wall of fame or look for even more options when you order from the kiosk. Service is fast and friendly. A few tables to sit and enjoy your treats. We had the DI Pandan Chewy and D3 Thai Sweet along with a waffle . Nice treat!
This is my favorite place to come for spring rolls! I have had the chicken, steak, pork and shrimp and love them all! You also get to pick from several sauces for each order of spring rolls. Each sauce is flavorful and compliments the spring rolls. I have also had the vermicelli bowl and banh mi sandwich and both were delicious! The vermicelli bowl was so huge it turned out to be two meals. They have many other items on the menu that also look amazing! Service is friendly and welcoming and they have a nice dine in space with plenty of tables. I am looking forward to returning to try other yummy items and of course...spring rolls!

Stopped by to get dessert after dinner. I got the coconut jelly and hubby got the pandan jelly. Both were just a tad too sweet, but overall flavor was good, we Jsut have to remember to ask for less sweet next time. Hubby liked the crushed ice that comes with the drinks. I wish this place was closer to us. read more

The Lychee Smoothie, Mango Smoothie, and Jelly Coco were nice and refreshing. My sister tried the Thai Tea with less sugar, and it was too bitter and watery to be enjoyable. I got the Chewy Pandan, and while the toppings were fun to eat, whatever milk it came with was very bland and watery. I wouldn't recommend the Thai tea or Chewy Pandan here. read more

So happy I stumbled on this place since I've been craving asian ice dessert. I got the Sweet Thai and it was in fact sweet but so good!! There wasn't many people here but still waited 10-15 minutes for my order. I'd imagine it'd be better to order online just in case there's a rush of people. Seems like a great spot to grab dessert after a meal. read more

I got the lychee fruit tea and Coco Jelly drink and both were very delicious! The lychee fruit tea is kinda on the sweet side though, so make sure the adjust the sweetness. For the Coco Jelly, it was perfect! Not too sweet nor bland! A great place to quickly stop by and quench your thirst! Service is fast and great. Super delicious and sweet Thai inspired desserts. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestion. Our desserts came out in ten minutes. Ambiance is cozy and airy with limited seatings inside. Highly recommended! read more
DD Mau is a good option for Vietnamese desserts and drinks. They have their signature dessert items for all under $8 each. I usually go for the Sweet Avocado or the Sweet Thai. The Sweet Avocado is my favorite because it includes smashed avocado with jelly and ice. It's made with condense milk and is perfectly sweetened. The only thing I don't like about this place is I find their workers to not be very friendly. It's definitely more of a quick grab and go type of spot. Even though there is a few tables to sit in to be at. I just don't care for the vibe here. Oh and sometimes it does take some time for your items to come out. Right near the Cerritos mall so i picked up a boba drink before doing some shopping. I got the large classic milk tea with boba which was about $6. I thought the price was better than other similar places for a large size. The tea itself was pretty good (my order is basic). I wish you could customize the sweetness but otherwise recommend! read more

Only coconut pandan waffle as a snack. The have dalgona coffee and coconut coffee frap which i gotta try. Ive had the mango fruit tea which had fresh mango and was not too sweet. U can adjust the flavors. No macaroon ice cream even though there was a freezer for it. They sell plants and some toys for kids. They have fall prices for any fruit tea is currently $5.00 versus $6.00. Quick service. read more

I paid $32 for three large Sweet Thai drinks. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. Very water and all the fruit ingredients were missing (jackfruit, longan and attap fruit. Only various jelly ingredients were in the drink. I took a picture of the menu. Sweet Thai is very diluted and not rich in coconut milk. I believe this place is under new ownership. The quality and taste have gone way down. I would really like a refund for my drinks. Major disappointment. I used to love this place. read more
So glad it was open today. I always get a Vietnamese coffee: just the right balance of sweet and caffeine to get me through the day. Updated menu today has a spiced pumpkin latte for the fall season but it's not my style. Quick and friendly staff takes your order : you can call ahead or try online ordering to save time. Quiet, just a few tables to hang out in. Plaza has a lot of parking if you get here between 11 and 2 pm , then foot and vehicle traffic picks up as school lets out. Recommend the coconut drink with basil seeds and lychee, ask for half sweet to enjoy it with less calories ! You can't go wrong with any of the options they have on their menu wall. The wall is really helpful as it displays pictures and descriptions. I come here to get my chè ba màu fix which is a Vietnamese, less sweet version of Filipino halo-halo dessert. Their fixings have the perfect texture, never too chewy or overcooked. You can adjust the sweetness levels on their desserts and drinks. On my latest visit, I grabbed the Vietnamese coffee with taro cloud and Sweet Thai. The coffee was strong and the creaminess from the cloud helps mellow out the bitterness. The taro flavor of the cloud cream is very subtle. I ordered my sweet Thai at 50% sweetness and it did not disappoint. However, after that experiment I realized I prefer the dessert as is. If I'm going to treat myself to something sweet, might as well lean all the way in. Right? Was a bit disappointed by the service on my last visit. The workers were in the back when I walked in. I used their self-service kiosk and the only interaction I had with them was when my drink order was presented. I assumed they were slammed with orders or maybe they were training people but there were only 2 orders being prepped before mine with 2 drinks/desserts each. An acknowledgment of my presence and the guests after me would've be nice. Especially, since the guests after me were first time visitors needing some guidance through the menu and payment system. Their desserts are one of my faves in the area but the service is not always the best. read more
The good: I stumbled upon this place because I was across the street for a Yelp Elite experience. I got the coconut milk tea with grass jelly at 50% sweetness. I liked that the grass jelly was cut up into small squares instead of scooped in a large blob because it made sucking up the drink more consistently distributed with the jelly. I am glad I got 50% sweetness because 100% would've been too sweet for me. They freshly blended the ice for the Vietnamese chewy pandan che (dessert pudding) that I got for my mom. I love the name of the shop and logo. The woman on the motorized scooter is a very Vietnamese image and DD Mau (di di mau) means "let's quickly go" but their DD also stands for "desserts and drinks." What a clever name! The bad: There's no outdoor seating. It was super hot inside even though the air conditioning was on. I am unsure if the coconut milk tea had tea in it. The color was white and the taste wasn't fragrant of black tea. There was a lot of ice in my cup. I'd ask for less ice next time. The interior is small and is a bit cramped. The interesting: They sold plastic toys with candy inside for $1.50 I got 2 of the monkey toys for my daughter because she has a similar one at home (that's a pig) that she loves. The drinks were decent. I think they are worth a try! This place may be better known for their dessert drinks, however I did not drink one of those. My drink was the strawberry matcha latte. This drink was on the milky side for sure. I liked the flavor but it was a little too milky for me. Nothing super special to me about this place but it is worth a try. The service was relatively slow, however I will give them the benefit of the doubt since we ordered 5 drinks and there was only one employee that I saw making all of the drinks. The ambiance was nice inside but doesn't feel super cozy in there and it was a little too warm. read more

This is my favorite spot to get Vietnamese-styled desserts. The quantity and quality of the desserts that they serve here cannot be beat. And you can never go wrong with their Pandan waffle! Service is very prompt, I've never been left waiting when I've entered the store. Whenever there's been a line it always moves fairly quick even during holidays. My to-go orders here are the Chewy Pandan and Tropical Sunrise, but if I'd have to choose between the two it'd be the Tropical Sunrise. It has the same ingredients as the Chewy Panda plus a few extra toppings like coconut jelly. Very tasty and the blend of different toppings always work well together. Haven't tried their other mixed desserts as I'm not a big fan of fruits like jackfruit and logan, but my husband was a big fan of their Jelly Coco! Their desserts are fresh and never overly sweet, which I appreciate a lot. Try to visit during a holiday! They'll often have a special deal for the day where if you spend over a certain amount they'll give you something extra. Last time I believe it was a coconut pandan waffle and that thing is delicious. Crispy and warm on the outside and fluffy and sweet on the inside. It's not overly sweet either. Pandan is still a hard flavor to get locally in desserts, so if you have a craving for it this would definitely satisfy the need. Seating is a bit limited, but I've never had an issue finding a seat when I've visited. My minor gripe is I think the $2 upcharge for a large is a bit much, but can understand considering the ingredients they're using? I'd stick with just a regular size as it's enough to satisfy most people. Maybe a large if you're sharing? Definitely will be back! read more

DD makes the best boba drinks in the area. The shop has seating both at the front and near the pickup area for patrons to enjoy their boba or waffles. After seeing the menu I noticed the Honeycomb Toffee Brulee which was a special they were offering that was unlike the standard boba drinks. The associate said it was a pretty popular item so I ordered it hoping it lived up to the hype. The boba was chewy and soft and the layers of the drink pair well together. The drink and service will be the reason I will return to try other drink specials. In addition to this, the shop offers some plants for sale near the pickup window. read more
I went here with my mom once and ever since I was HOOKED! The service is always fast and nice and they are always generous with the toppings! Not to mention the inside is always nice and tidy. Shoutout to the girl with the bangs during the early shift, she's always super nice and generous! I believe their specialty is the drinks with the snowball on top. Most after tax is almost $8-$9 depending on what you get. It's pretty pricy but I would say its worth it for the amount of toppings and the unique flavors you get. Depending what specialty you get some have more some have less toppings, they have it all listed on their menu. My favorite is their Sweet Thai with no basil seeds, no palmseed, no longan, and substitute it all for more jackfruit. It's the BEST!!! Overall they have many unique drinks here but I would suggest trying one of their snowballs as I feel like they provide you with an even more unique and tasty experience!! read more

June 2023 - Great experience and quality drinks! Food/Pricing - Vietnamese Taro Cloud $6.00 - The taro on top complimented the coffee nicely! Vietnamese Coffee $5.50 - Creamier than your usual Viet coffee but still yum! Coconut Coffee Frappe $6.75 - If you enjoy coconut, this is definitely a must try!
