This has to be one of the most unique and spectacular shops in the whole city. Fabulously beautiful handmade copper work from Mexico: pots, vases sinks, all of it decorated using traditional techniques. The owner of the shop is from the family that has made the stuff down in Mexico for generations, so she is extremely knowledgeable. Really a must-visit on Valencia Street even if you're not going to buy anything. I came in two or three times just to admire things before I finally bought a vase. read more

The owners are beyond kind, helpful and a good time to be around. They literally have anything and everything. You name it and they have it in copper. Prices are great! We also enjoyed talking with Andrea the business owner (and one of the artists!) about how the copper is worked and how the ceramics are made. What a great gem! We were wandering the streets of San Francisco today when I saw some glimmering copper in the window and had to go in. I am so glad I did...the owner of the store (I think her name is Andra?) and her little chihuahua Carmenita are so lovely and the products are all so well made. All of the copper is pure, not the copper-plated stuff that seems to be everywhere. I bought two lovely tumblers as gifts for my parents who highly value the health benefits of copper. Wandered in here the other night to see what the new place was all about and started talking to the owners. Apparently everything in the store is hand-made by the family and they are 3rd generation coppersmiths from somewhere in Michoacan, Mexico. It's really good work, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable (especially for a new store on now-fancy Valencia street). I bought my girl a beautiful big hand-hammered red copper bracelet for about $30. The color is really stunning and, according to the owner, created naturally by heating the metal and quenching it somehow. Anyway check this place out. At first look I thought it was just an import shop, but the family connection and the fact that it's all hand-made and the very reasonable pricing take it to a level way above. read more

Omg. On a cold night, me and three of my friends went in here. The owner (part of the family that owns it) was so kind to us, and showed us her around her family shop. There were all kinds of cool creations that were made from hand-pounded copper. She invited us back for her one-year anniversary of the shop being open, and I'm not kidding all of us looked forward to it for months leading up to it! You can find authentic Mexican copper products, made with traditional techniques. The store is family-owned and most of the products are made by a family from Michoacan, Mexico here in the US and there in Michoacan.
