UGHHH :/
Mike M.

Absolutely awful. Not just the pizza but the customer service too. It started out when I ordered two slices on Saturday at 7:52pm. The guy at the window (pathetically this was the owner, Eric) started rushing me to put an order by saying that there was only one minute left to place an order. Very rude. I was told the wait would be 10 minutes. After A HALF HOUR I went to the window to ask how long and the guy snapped at my telling me to sit tight and it'll be ready when it's ready. 55 MINUTES LATER, it finally came out. The pizza was disgusting. My hotel was only two blocks away and when I got home, I found the pizza was soggy and cold. I feel that we were cheated and lied to as the pizza tasted like it was made long ago or it was sitting there for a quite a while. Why did I have to wait so long? I didn't sleep a wink--was up all night. Won't go into details but the pizza tasted better coming up than it did going down. Eventually had to go to urgent care and turns out I had food poisoning. Who know's what was in it, but a $300 medical bill later and losing about 10 pounds, it doesn't matter. I was in DC on a business trip and had to miss all my meetings that get due to this horrendous experience. I contacted the owner Eric to discuss at the very least getting a refund. He was again, very rude, and hung up on me. I called back multiple times but he never responded. Cowardly. Worst food experience I've ever had!!!

I was so happy when I heard that DC Slices was coming to my neighborhood and they did not disappoint. Trying to avoid potential lines (in times of COVID), I found their website and it listed an option to order ahead. Bingo! All menu items are well described and pictured. Placed my order and chose my pickup time. When I showed up, order was ready as promised. The person dispatching my order was very pleasant. Walked it home and feasted on pizza, mozzarella sticks and tater tots. Until the next time!

Ordered from the Arlington location... pizza was burnt and did not eat it... was thrown away and waste of my money

A great food truck option if pizza is what you are craving. With all of the meat toppings it may have been a little greasy . . . . but hey, sometimes that's part of what you're craving. Just be sure to get a cold Coke to wash it down. And the day I went the were handing out free salads with your order but I'm not sure if this was a normal thing or just happening that day. I recommend giving it a try. I also recommend grabbing some extra napkins.

Nice, thin, crispy crust with a good chewy texture. Slices are foldable as seen in photo. When they are parked at our apartments, they have a good amount of regular customers. We'll return.

Buffalo Chicken

I came here on a weekday around 8PM. I ordered one Buffalo chicken slice with some Ranch drizzle on top. The slice costed me $5, and you can get two slices for $9. For this price, I at least expected a high quality pizza or a bigger portion. Although the pizza was still tasty, the crust wasn't for me. It was NY style which I like, but I think they overheated mine too long. The bottom of the pizza was slightly "cardboardy" due to its hardness and the bread tasted kinda stale. It probably wasn't that great of a slice since it was pretty late in the day and not freshly made. The buffalo chicken flavor itself did have a kick of spice to it. The person before me ordered some funnel cake fries which looked really good - I gotta try those one day.

The food truck was parked in front of our apartment so why not !!! Ordered a whole pie half cheese and half veggies with a side of garlic parmesan tater tots with siracha sauce. Amazing service pizza was thin and crispy and made within 8 mins on the dot it was blazing fast. Quality of the pizza was great. Only thing and its because I was anticipating something else. Asked for fresh jalepenos and was told they had them so added it to our pizza but it was pickled. Not the end of the world but had my mind set on that. But great service and good pizza next might ask for a simple pie well done. The siracha sauce was a great dipping sauce for everything so made up for it.

Good pizza baked fresh in the truck (they say their high speed oven can cook a pizza in about 5 mins). They usually have 4 or 5 different pizzas available (sausage & onion, cheese, bbq chicken, veggie, pepperoni last time I was here). They also have a tater tots in different flavors, worth a try for sure. Slices are a little expensive at $4 each but it's good pizza and not too greasy. They also ask you if you want fresh basil on top of your pizza.

Cheese Slice

My vote of 3-star "A-OK" has absolutely NOTHING to do with the pizza slices that are dished up. On occasion the DC Slices truck comes to Metro Sq. and I can actually trek the 3 blocks to visit them. The slices are really pretty awful. The crust is meh, the sauce and toppings are actually pretty tasty, but the cheese has been cooked / heated within an inch of its life and resembles more of a "cheese tarp" over the slice. When you consider that in order to get to the DC Slices truck I have to walk past Pizza Pino that serves up GREAT fresh slices from its oven, there's little to make me want to come here for a slice of pie. So why return at all you might ask? To get an exceedingly tasty meatball sub and an order of tater tots. Oh I could wax ever so poetic about the meatball sub. Soft chewy bun stuffed with 4 big juicy meatballs coated with tangy marinara sauce. All blanketed by just the right amount of melted mozzarella cheese so you get some in every bite. An excellent sub for just $6. The tots are fried to perfection and worth the wait to get them. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Major Nom Nom Nom. I don't recommend getting the Pizza tots however as the marinara just makes the tots sort of soggy.

I was still a little hesitant until this nice woman came along and vouched for the food. I had no idea about what to order, but as soon as I saw her food come out I was sold. I told the guys to give me exactly what she had, which included a quarter chicken, corn, and potatoes. I got back up to my office and enjoyed all of it. The chicken was well done and well seasoned, the corn was tasty, and the potatoes were better than what I was expecting. Can't really explain it but they were like roasted and mashed at the same time.. whatever it was it was great! Oh and that sweet orange sauce that they gave me took the chicken to another level. Insert fire emojis Lastly, the guys working the truck were some of the coolest food truck people that I've ever interacted with. Combine that with good food and you can def count on my coming back again.

Both times I've ordered the same thing - a quarter dark meat with one side. It comes with basmati rice (which you can sub out for a different side) and a choice of a salad, coleslaw, and corn. I've chosen the coleslaw both times - I find it so unique, with its cabbage and basil-like dressing. Definitely NOT your usual slaw. I will try the corn one of these days, though. On to the chicken - They give you a good amount of chicken and it is very, very juicy. I can't comment about the skin (I don't eat the skin, I take it off...I know to some of you that's a sin!) but my co-workers have previously commented that it is nicely seasoned. They also provide you with a mild barbeque sauce, and today they gave me a new sauce, which was curry-based. It's slightly thicker than the barbeque sauce, which while it has good flavor, is a bit thinner (it complements, not overpowers, the chicken). I alternated between both sauces today. I have to also complement the owner/manager - I had exactly $8 in cash (keep forgetting about the taxes for food trucks!) so he let me go without paying the $.80, that was really nice of him. I'll be sure to give it back to him next time! Overall, a solid, filling meal, and I would return!

Just outside the L'Enfant Plaza Metro stop (on the Maryland Ave side), you'll know you're in the right place by the crowds of Federal office workers queuing up for their favorite truck. There's a great variety from southern soul food to barbeque, from pho and banh-mi to Indonesion, from Philly cheese steaks to gyros. My daughters each had beef pho from the Pho-Nation and Vietnamese Food trucks (piping hot flavorful broth, plenty of noodles, slices of tender beef, cilantro, and accompanied with hot sauce and lime wedges on the side); my wife had the falafel salad from the Quick Bites truck which was outstandingly tasty and light, made with a chickpea and fava bean combination with a herb blend that gave them a unique green color on the inside; while I had the gyro platter from the same truck. Excellent lamb meat, well-seasoned, good tzatziki sauce, and accompanied by a fresh salad and stewed chickpeas. About $9 each for these meals and the trucks take credit cards. Don't settle for the tourist trap food trucks lined up near the Smithsonian museums -- these are terrible with microwaved pizza slices and hot dogs only ... make the short walk to these real food trucks and you won't be disappointed.

"Fine, except for this tarzan heat". He says "you like Pakistani food?" , I reply "sure, like I like my Pakistani women, scrumptuous and SPICY!" Then I realized he was the owner or something when he offered to let me taste the food before I chose wisely. They offered chicken and lamb chunks on flavorful basmatti rice or a pita. Side salad included, and everything topped with a yogurt and or spicy red sauce. I decided to go with the chicken bites and both sauces. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but it was good.
