Asked to do some minor fan work, I asked them while they were there if they could price adding lighting to an extremely underlit kitchen with quality, but dark cabinets. They finished the fans and turned to the ask. Wow. In one afternoon, adding 4 overhead and under cabinet LEDs has completely transformed the kitchen, appearing much larger and inviting. Dave is a fine electrician, but unreliable and has been a no-show at 2 of 3 jobs. I absolutely cannot recommend him. He installed a bathroom fan for me. That went well. Then I needed some wiring and switches upgraded. He confirmed and never showed up and stopped responding to texts. I had to find another electrician. For some reason I gave him one more shot on a new job -- and today after confirming several times, he was a no-show after I waited all day. Dave is really professional; making sure that he is respectful of his clients belongings (covering my clothes inside the closet prior to heading up the attic). My home warranty company assigned DC electric to fix my electrical issues. First of all, I did not receive a call as mentioned by my home warranty. I decided to contact them and the gentleman 'Dave' answered and set up the next day appointment. The electrician never showed up nor have the respect to call. I called the same day in the afternoon and he setup the next day for appointment. The next day I got worried because the electrician again did not show up during the time line as promised. After several calls and text, I received text response stating he will not come again. We had a terrible power surge in our neighborhood that fried several appliances within our home. In order to submit a claim to Dominion Power, we had to have a certified electrician out to our home to inspect the damages. Dave was referred to us by our general contractor and while he was in our home, he installed a whole-house surge protector and gave us a quote for what it would cost to repair the damaged items. He was so knowledgable regarding the claims process and really helped us with what we needed to receive the maximum amount to cover our expenses. After we received our payment from Dominion, Dave came back out to repair and replace the damaged items. He also installed some additional power outlets and kindly showed me how to replace the bulbs on my stove. We recently had him out after some package thefts from our porch to install a floodlight and a Ring Floodlight with a camera. This time, he brought out two of his crew members who were also excellent to assist. He is extremely professional, personable, trustworthy and does quality work! Others gave very expensive quotes, or refused to work with our timeline. I then called DC-Electric and spoke to Dave, the owner. Dave was fantastic. He figured out how to make our timing work and gave us a great deal! On the day he was scheduled to come, he arrived promptly with two assistants. They could not have been nicer or more professional. They did an absolutely great job. When we weren't sure which way to place a light - or how long of an extension to put on the fans, Dave had great advice.  They worked efficiently, completing the whole job in just a few hours.
