There was one customer ahead of me and a guy concentrating on helping him. He saw me but didn't acknowledge that I had a product to purchase and seemed to be doing his best to ignore the fact that I was there. After another minute, I set the product back on the shelf and left. There are other options and I have no time for the poor attitude. Granted, I haven't been to Central Texas in a few years ever since Service kept my bike for almost two months (in spring) and waited for me to call to find out it was finally ready. Today was just a confirmation of what I already knew. Central Texas is a terribly run business. Back to Cowboy for me.

Then they get defensive when you question, " why do I make an appointment". The quality of work is also poor- twice they didn't put my pipes on evenly. Didn't return or put back on bolt covers and twice broke a plastic piece on the handle bar neck...and wanted me to pay for it. Return phone calls or communication... don't hold your breath. You call them and you get "I was just getting ready to call you" once..ok but every time.. it's BS. I had an idle control light come on and they couldn't "duplicate it"..I asked if they let the bike idle and the service guy said.....no, let me have them try that! It would have been funny if it was a joke.. but it wasn't!

These guys know what they're doing. The owner Johnny came out along with Marine Corps Vet Dan and off we went. There were many small things to do but Dan also discovered my clutch was about to break! It was frayed and about poo! He went into Austin same-day and still managed to finish before end of day. I came in for an oil change only to be told my valve cover was leaking oil. I replaced all the…read moreparts as my service salesman Dorian suggested along with a new set of spark plugs. I decided to wait at the dealership. Five hours later, I left w/my car now sputtering/hiccuping at each stop light. I called Dorian & he advised me to come back. Dorian was quick to get my car in and I was out of there roughly 30 minutes later. I drove home only to find out AGAIN it was STILL performing incorrectly - maybe not as bad but still sputtering. This was not an issue when I drove in. I called Dorian again and he asked once again if I had time to go in. It is now almost 4pm. I was not about to go in for a 3rd time. The issue happened to be an ignition coil. This back-and-forth caused a significant inconvenience including work time lost, the cost of fuel and toll charges for the multiple back and forth trips and added stress driving a vehicle that was not performing reliably. I contacted manager Wayne and Luis for an inconvenience credit but since they fixed these parts w/no added charges to me, no credit was given but a free oil change on my next visit. What a great way to treat a customer going on 15 years of Nissan service!

I understood all kinds of risks. I got much better at u turns, slaloming, stopping correctly, using rear and front brakes properly, understanding stopping distances. I learned how to ride a clutch in two days. My coach was awesome. He was patient, gave us feedback every module both encouraging and spotting good things but also telling us how to be better. He explained every exercise what not to do and how to do it properly then demoed in his own bike. I respected that he also teaches police officers and has a background in motorcycle racing. I felt really good about the quality of his teaching given the years of experience. The class was fun. And he did a great job leading it I got my license at the dmv the very next Monday after the class.
